What if the biggest barrier to your success wasn't external—but internal? What if the way you frame challenges, setbacks, and even opportunities determines how far you can go? Today is a special day—February 11th, the official launch of my new book, The Art of Self-Leadership: Discover the Power Within You and Learn to Lead Yourself. This book isn't just another leadership guide—it's a call to action for anyone who feels stuck, powerless, or waiting for permission to move forward. Over the years, I've had countless conversations with leaders, employees, and organizations, and I've noticed a troubling trend: Too many people feel like they're at the mercy of their circumstances. They feel like passengers in their own careers, waiting for someone else to open doors, create opportunities, or define their next steps. But here's the truth: You are the driver. You are your own green light. In this episode, I share: ✅ Why I wrote this book now and what self-leadership really means ✅ How victim thinking holds us back—and how to shift out of it faster ✅ The connection between self-leadership and caring leadership ✅ The role of mindset, choice, and personal responsibility in shaping your future ✅ Why waiting for someone else to lead you is the fastest way to give away your power This book is a toolkit—a guide to help you reclaim your power, make better decisions, and move forward with clarity, courage, and conviction. Because the truth is, no one knows what's best for you more than you do. So today, I invite you to take this journey with me. Let's learn to lead ourselves first—so we can show up stronger, more confident, and more intentional in every aspect of life. Ready to step into your power? Future of Network Marketing After Major ChangesThe future of network marketing is changing.Over the past year, some big companies have moved away from the MLM model, and this has left many leaders scrambling and dreams vanished.Companies that were once seen as rock-solid have abandoned the network marketing structure, taking away downlines and residual incomes. Why the Future of Network Marketing Is Still GoodDespite this, network marketing is not going anywhere!People will always want more freedom, money, and more time with their families.Network marketing gives everyday people a chance to dream bigger and people will always want more in life so in this is the reason why the future of network marketing is good.Network marketing is about dreams and gives people hope but unfortunately it's not going to be easy.In this article, we'll dive into why achieving network marketing success will be harder and what you need to do.Why the Future of Network Marketing Will Be Harder1. More Distractions Than EverWe have way more more tools to help you succeed in network marketing than 20 years ago but it's has also made things harder. For example, social media has made things easier if you know how to use social media for network marketing or it can create major distractions and and overwhelm. That's why staying focused and developing the right mindset is more important than ever in the near future.2. The Instant Gratification TrapWe live in a world where everything is immediate but success in network marketing takes time.If you're looking for quick results, MLM will feel harder than ever.3. Self-Doubt and Fear of the Wrong ChoiceMany people switch strategies too soon because they think they're doing something wrong. The reality is that success comes from staying consistent, even when it feels like nothing is happening.3 Keys to Success in Your Future in Network MarketingHere are some tips to help you grow your business, even when things get tough:1. Focus on One Thing at a TimeStop doing everything all at once.Whether it's Instagram, TikTok, or another platform, pick one and stick with it for at least six months otherwise you'll never the momentum and experience to achieve success in network marketing.2. Stick to the Income Producing ActivitiesAchieving success in the future in network marketing doesn't require fancy tools but does require you to focus on The DMO (Daily Method of Operation) and list of income producing activities.Post on social media, meet new people, send invitations, follow-up and do presentations. Here are complete details of these 5 income producing activities3. Lead Yourself FirstThe 1st step in the Simple Online System in network marketing is to Lead Yourself.Network marketing success starts with you!Build network marketing habits that keep you consistent, like waking up earlier to work on your business or setting a timer to stay on track. The more disciplined you are, the better results you'll see.4. Delay GratificationInstead of looking for quick wins, focus on the long game and long term future.Succeeding in network marketing might take months or even years, but the rewards will be worth it.5. Stay Connected to MLM CommunityYou'll never be successful if you do network marketing alone because it can get very discouraging. You must stay connected with others so make sure you attend every future team training, go to network marketing events, join coaching groups, read the books, listen to the podcasts, etc.Network marketing can feel isolating, but staying connected will keep you inspired and focused.Secret to Network Marketing Success: A Winning MindsetMost people fail in network marketing because they don't have the right mindset. They think MLM success is about learning new skills, but it's really about how you think and approach challenges. Here are examples of how top leaders think.Focus on Activity, Not ResultsInstead of worrying about how many people say “yes,” in the future, track how many people you're reaching out to. Celebrate your consistency and you'll event get the results you want in the future.Don't Compare Yourself to OthersDon't let someone's highlight reel on social media compare to your reality because what you see is just the highlights and not their real life!Stay in your lane and focus on your own journey.Embrace MistakesMaking mistakes isn't bad because it's how you learn. The more mistakes you make, the faster you grow.Recap on The Future of Network Marketing in 2025The future of network marketing is bright, but it's going to be hard but so worth it.Network marketing gives you the chance to build residual income, connect with amazing people, and change lives. If you want to succeed in network marketing, remember to stay focused on the income producing activities.Keep it simple, stay focused and take consistent action!Helpful MLM ResourcesNetwork Marketing Training HubGoal Setting in Network Marketing GuideConsistency Champions Club Coaching

216. Why we need Core Values Episode Summary: In this insightful episode of the "Lead Ministry Podcast," hosts Josh Denhart and Bill Van Kirk delve into the profound subject of self-leadership and the significance of core values. The podcast, formerly known as the "Lead Volunteers Podcast," has evolved to cover a broader range of topics beyond volunteerism, yet continues to emphasize volunteering as a pivotal aspect of ministry life. The episode begins with Josh and Bill introducing a new series aptly titled, "Lead Yourself," prompting listeners to contemplate the ability to exert self-control, execute self-discipline, and establish personal mastery. They talk about leading oneself in the context of personal life, ministry, and relationships, tying it intricately with the ideas of self-governance and integrity. Throughout their engaging conversation, listeners are prompted to examine their own core values — those defining principles that guide decision-making and behavior. Key takeaways from this episode center around the discovery and application of personal core values. Bill discusses various strategies for identifying core values, including reflecting on victories, admiring qualities in others, and seeking feedback. They emphasize the importance of these values in shaping one's path, molding a legacy, and ensuring an alignment of actions with biblical wisdom. The hosts encourage listeners to write down their values, set goals according to these principles, and constantly revisit them to maintain relevance and authenticity in life. Key Takeaways: Core values are essential principles guiding our actions, decisions, and personal identity. Authentic living, grounded in these values, results in integrity and a meaningful legacy. One's victories and admired qualities in others provide insight into personal core values. Journaling and seeking feedback are practical tools for unveiling and aligning with one's values. Core values can change over time; they should remain anchored in biblical teachings and reflect one's true self. Writing down core values, keeping them visible, and setting goals around them are strides toward living a life of true purpose and conviction. Notable Quotes: "The hardest person that you will ever lead is yourself." "If you live according to your internal metric, you will leave a legacy." "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything." "Inauthenticity is exhausting." "It is a spiritual discipline to look for the positive." When you think of good leadership, what comes to mind? Rasmus Hougaard and Jacqueline Carter argue that good leadership isn't rooted in power or public speaking skills. They say that, in fact, mindfulness, selflessness, and compassion are the key components. “If [you are] focused on things that are going to feed [your] ego, [you're] not necessarily going to be doing the things that will be most helpful to other people,” Carter explains. “[And] what the research and our field work really showed us is that in the long term, people don't want to follow you.” In this episode, you'll learn how to cultivate selflessness as a leader without being a pushover. You'll also learn a simple ritual that could help you start you day with more focus and a clearer sense of your priorities.Carter and Hougaard are the coauthors of The Mind of the Leader: How to Lead Yourself, Your People, and Your Organization for Extraordinary Results. It's miserable having to follow someone who you have little respect for. They may be in a position of power or a role of leadership, and because of their role, you comply. But isn't it so much more enjoyable to follow someone who you admire, respect and feel they are worthy of being followed. A lack of self-awareness is a sure fire way to lose followers. When a leader expects things out of their people but they aren't leading by example, hypocrisy turns everyone sour and they do everything in their power to move on to someone they want to follow instead of have to follow. In this episode, Amy Mast walks us through a simple yet powerful leadership tool that allows leaders to look in the mirror in order to notice the tendencies and patterns that undermine their influence. Check out the Know Yourself To Lead Yourself Tool and let it do it's refining work on you.Order any of the GiANT books written by Steve Cockram and/or Jeremie Kubicek here:  BOOKSTo get more information about GiANT, check out our website: www.theleaderstoolkitpodcast.comWould you like to learn more about becoming a GiANT Catalyst? By 2014 she was disabled. Lupus was impacting her heart, lungs and DNA. She was facing a lifetime of chemo, steroids, hospitalizations and surgeries, to stop the relentless progress. Doctors gave her zero hope for a cure. But perseverance defines Shannon, and she was not ready to give up on life. So she began her journey to health restoration. And restore her health she did through some major lifestyle changes. But it came with a significant setback: she was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in 2018. She is thrilled to share that today she is in remission from autoimmunity and cancer and her health is better than ever. In my talk with Shannon, you'll hear… The cascade of health issues that led to her to numerous doctors, autoimmune diagnoses and medications The true impact of all of it on her life Her turning-point moment The phased protocol that eliminated all her symptoms within 18 months Some of the science behind the Wahls protocol The mindset and commitment that helped her patiently stay the course How she navigated stage 3 breast cancer And how she's doing today   Today, Shannon's mission is to spread the word that there is always hope for healing. She is the co-owner of Austin Muscle Restoration and the co-founder of The Roadmap to Leadwell and The Lead Yourself to Health corporate and consumer wellbeing programs and classes. Connect with her on Instagram @LeadYourselfToHealth, or Instagram and Facebook @AutoimmuneFoodie or visit her at http://www.wellsiliency.com to be alerted to new book and class launches. I know you'll get a lot out of my talk with Shannon. It's a really honest conversation about the journey of recovering from serious illness. Episode web page Don't miss our full story on Shannon. Before we play this episode, I want to make it very clear that – as always at Rebuilding My Health - this was one person's health experience of long-haul and also of what she's seen in some of her clients. It's not intended to help treat the virus or long-haul but to offer some insight into what worked for someone else. Everyone is different so talk with your health practitioner about your own case. Purchase licenses for all of your people so your team can begin to know themselves and each other.Thank you to Dwayne from Jacksonville, Florida for this episode's audience question:"I'm a manager. How do I get my people engaged? When I try to be intentional, it feels like I can't get them engaged? Maria's answer: Give yourself an opportunity to implement your learning for yourself first before sharing with your people. Let them see you apply things first. Jeremie's answer: Let your journey of growth do the heavy work so that trust and relationships are built. Then it will be natural for people to want to follow you.Our favorite episode quotes: Jeremie, "Very few leaders do a good job of transferring the magic they have. So when the leader leaves, all of that wisdom, background, connections and history goes out the door."Steve, "Go slower and deeper which means you go further and you end up doing it for longer." "If I died tomorrow, how much of my magic would go with you?"Maria,  "People don't think that multiplying is part of their job, but when they grasp it and make room for it, it transforms teams and organizations."If you want to become a GiANT Certified Coach,  go to giantworldwide.com and watch the video, then sign up and join the next certifiaiton cohort.Episode Takeaway from Steve:  It always starts with you. You never graduate from the school of self-awareness. I wish we could get to a certain level and then be done, but that's not the way it is. Ask yourself this: "how do I be the best version of me? How do I be intentional?"Episode Takeaway from Jeremie: The world needs better leaders. Leaders, it's the perseverance and the tenacity that builds unbelievable character. Be encouraged, if you are a leader working hard at it every day, we need you.If you'd like Steve or Jeremie to speak at your next event, either live or remote, inquire here:  https://giantspeakers.com
