The POV You're My Therapist podcast is an absolute gem in the world of podcasts. From the moment I started listening, it felt like having a heart-to-heart conversation with my best friend. Divine, the host of the show, brings so much insight and humor to every episode. Her British accent is unmatched and adds an extra layer of charm to the podcast. I can't wait to see what she does next!
One of the best aspects of this podcast is Divine's ability to make you feel seen and understood. She has a unique way of delving into deep subjects and making you realize that you're not alone in your struggles. Whether it's mental health issues or navigating life's challenges, she offers relatable experiences and advice that resonate with listeners. The podcast always hits home in some way and leaves you feeling inspired.
Another great aspect of this podcast is Divine's authenticity and vulnerability. She's not afraid to share her own personal experiences, including the tough moments, which makes her even more relatable. It creates a safe space for listeners to reflect on their own lives and emotions. The conversations are deep yet entertaining, offering a perfect balance between introspection and lightheartedness.
While it's difficult to find any negative aspects of this podcast, one possible drawback could be that not everyone will agree with Divine on political issues. However, even if you don't align with her views, she still manages to create a connection with her listeners by being open-minded and respectful.
In conclusion, The POV You're My Therapist podcast is an absolute must-listen for anyone looking for meaningful discussions about life, mental health, and self-love. Divine brings such depth and authenticity to every episode that it feels like therapy for the soul. Her insights are both insightful and humorous, making it a truly enjoyable experience. This podcast has quickly become one of my favorites, and I eagerly anticipate each new episode. Thank you, Divine, for creating such a meaningful and relatable podcast!

In this July update, Divine talks exploring new hobbies, (she's recently returned to swimming and thinks she is Micheal Phelps). The best way to support an independent podcast is by sharing with your friends and family! TiktokInstagramTwitterHelloooooooo? Is this thing on?It's been a month and Divine, our illustrious and loving host missed her kids. She just had to drop a fun little episode and tell you what she's been up to lately. As you can probably tell from the title she's been in New York, in all of the boroughs-- worrying about her imune system and keeping an eye out for the rat czar. She also has a very special announcement. To keep up with all of her adventures make sure you follow her on Social Media !

The barriers we as humans with ego and pride face once we confront our most inner selves. She also covers forgiveness of others and yourself, accepting the parts of us we don't like , self confidence, joy, sadness, literally everything under the sun, honey! https://www.instagram.com/vinephilo/MerchTwitterTiktokPatreon In this weeks episode of POV, Divine discusses the other side of the daddy issues, trust issues spiral. She discusses building systems that allow her to express gratitude and to still see the silver lining even when things are not going well. She talks about balancing heart break, triggers and pain with the ability to still recognize gratitude in her every day life. She also discusses self sabotaging as a punishment for consistent singledom; anxious, and avoidant attachment vs. the goal of becoming securely attached. She also poses the question, “When I am dating how do I detach and focus on myself as well as the people I am seeing in a healthy way?” Our illustrious host also discusses her current road block in therapy.
In part 1 of this episode, we return to the subject of attachment. As someone who is anxiously attached, Divine is not the best when it comes to “detachment”. Often, her bouts of anxious behavior are paired with spirals and this week was no exception. Paired with a fresh spritz of gossip, she takes you on her recent journey of mapping out her therapy journey moving forward. What do we need to work on? And how do we plan on doing so? Next week we will continue the conversation with gratitude and how spirals—anxiety and insecure attachments can distract from an otherwise good life.
In this episode, Divine finds herself at the unfortunate crossroad of realizing that she is in fact not perfect. It was a shocker to everyone and we are still shaken by the realization.Divine doesn't want to be "that girl" the one men can smell the daddy issues on from a mile away. In fact, she's done a great job deflecting and shedding any remnant of that hunger--that craving for male validation. She's rid herself of that.Yes, for a time she was healed. Stamped clear of the dreaded "trust issues" but now, our sexy host has realized she isn't in the clear. She's simply isolated. Now, she catches glimpse of these issues", lurking in the deep caverns of her mind patiently waiting for the moment when she has to put trust in someone else's hands. They sulk around waiting to reinforce those negative thought patterns.https://www.instagram.com/vinephilo/MerchTwitterTiktok
Trigger warning: SA, Domestic Abuse: In this episode, our scrumptious host talks about all of the things she was enjoying until a dude came along and screwed it up. Up first, is BEEF, the Netflix show currently at no.2 most watched, that was her absolute fav until you guessed it. A man.So, she asks whether producers should do background checks. Or should David Choe be edited out of BEEF in the style of Little Mix Fans and Jesy Nelson Anno Domini 2020? Divine, then discusses Jonathan Majors, domestic abuser patterns, and the behavior towards abuse victims before and after they name their abusers. She also covers "Migrant rage" a term she coined (maybe). Think female rage but you're a second-generation immigrant. She covers Succession, and begins with "I'm glad Logan Roy is dead." So, you see where we're headed. https://www.instagram.com/vinephilo/ https://www.instagram.com/lenscalhoun/ MerchTwitterTiktok
In the second part of our conversation with Lindsey Calhoun, our illustrious host, and her bestie discuss the foundations of a good friendship, trauma dumping, and the foundation of their relationship. The ladies also discuss celebrities in the media, parasocial relationships, and celebrities being over-saturated in the media. The girlies also talk about the socio-economic state of the world because why not. https://www.instagram.com/vinephilo/ https://www.instagram.com/lenscalhoun/ MerchTwitterTiktok

Divine discusses her abuse of the word “like” in the last episode, and also covers tv and Music (The Night Agent, Kings of Summer and Outer banks). She also gives a review of this weeks albums, “In Pieces” By Chloe Bailey and Victoria Monet's exciting announcement that "Jaguar II" is coming! We know. We know. The girl who low-key went viral for saying she believes in ghosting and in-fact advocates for it is now reconsidering having such a staunch stance on the matter. Because simply put, she grew up, and sometimes whether she likes it or not she can be wrong. Also, she watched Banshee's of Inisherin, which raised some interesting points, so obvi she had thoughts. In this week's episode, Divine discusses Ghosting! From the POV of the ghosted. She talks about the loneliness and pain that comes with being abruptly abandoned and also discusses why it happens as well as how to heal from being ghosted. She discusses the delicate balance of self-love, selflessness, and selfishness. Divine also talks about the dating landscape and how it felt to experience it in a different place where to her surprise she wasn't the problem! CONTENT WARNING: DEPRESSION, SUICIDE, SELF HARM It's been on Divine's mind for a while to do an episode on how to take everything we learn in therapy and turn them into actions. Because let's be real here, anyone can say "you need to put boundaries in place," or "be your biggest advocate." But wtf does that even mean? How does one even do boundaries, let alone put them in place? In theory, these things should be simple but most people, Divine included, need a recipe. This is Part 2 of Divine trying to give you the ingredients for the recipe, but don't forget she's an Island Gyal and doesn't use measuring cups. CONTENT WARNING: SA, True Crime, Murder Texts to my Therapist #8: One Direction Made Me Who I AmCONTENT WARNING: SA, True Crime, Murder On this weeks episode Divine talks about the Selena Gomez/ Hailey Bieber/ Kendall Jenner / Hadid sisters drama. This leads to a bigger conversation about fandom, and her experience as a One Directioner. The content warnings are for this next section, because yes she's been watching a lot (maybe too much) true crime. One that stuck out to her, real bad is "Don't F*ck With Cats", because after four years she finally watched it. She also talks about Succession and just crazy people in general.Love ya!
Ariana DeBose you will always be famous! It's the award show opener that has taken twitter and Divine's last two brain cells by storm. On todays episode, the most beautiful and funny host in the world talks about Ariana DeBose's ICON MAKING, BAFTA's performance. She also provides a clear reading of the lyrics, which obviously is necessary. Divine also discusses Jonathan Majors being "Civil Rights Era" fine as well as the podcasts she is currently listening to. Lastly, Divine sends a warning to Netflix. Joe Goldburge dies THIS season or she pulls an HBO Max and deletes EVERYTHING. Enough is enough. Thank you.
instagram : https://www.instagram.com/vinephilo/http://vinephilo.comtwitter: https://twitter.com/vinephilohttps://www.tiktok.com/@vinephiloWhy are so many hot, sexy, girls lonely? The Hot, Lonely Girl in short is a lone wolf. She can't maintain a friend group to save her life. She has a hard time finding people to date, or is not interest in the ones that want to date her, thus leaving her without an "other". While all her friends are in long term relationships, getting married and having babies, the HLG seems to be falling the wayside. The HLG might even be content in singledom. The HLG paradox is not exclusive to women or relationships either. It is the person, who decided at 25 to take a chance on themselves and start their own business, while their friends have been on a set path since high school. The HLG is anyone taking the harder, longer, lonelier path--the path, that as hard as they may try--no one, except someone on a similar path, understands. This episode is about that. It's about having to be your own support system and your biggest advocate. It's about being there for yourself.

It's the Mylar ballon you lost your grip on when you were ten! Kidding. The confusing tale of the Chinese survallience ballons, and the UFO's in North American airspace. We discus what exactly is going on in the sky this week, because we, (me, Divine) is gonna LOSE IT if another vague, "unidentifiable object" is shot down this week.We also have an impromptu discussion about Aliens, the ever ,so , evasive "Tic Tac" spacecraft, Type I, II, & III civilizations and some other super fun, not scary, stuff.

The earlier 2010's was a… questionable time to be a teen. You have all day re-runs of Thirteen (2003) starting Nikki Reed and Rachel Evan Wood on lifetime, an ungodly amount of un-supervised time on the internet and angst. SO MUCH angst.Suddenly, you're 16, watching thirteen, scrolling through tumblr while blasting 'Shades of Cool' by Lana Del Rey, and watching her make out with that old man, and suddenly you're like...... "I'm not living." "No one gets me." "Where is the drama in my life?" On this episode our host discusses age gap relationships. She talks about her experience with them and when they are appropriate, if ever. She talks about how these relationships can stunt emotional and mental growth and leave you in a state of distrusts with yourself. Divine raises a few red flags she noticed in said relationships. Our host also discusses grooming, “To catch a predator”, and why as teenager's our hollow minds thought it was cool to date men who were in their twenties. So big fat, TRIGGER WARNING. We also discuss limerence, and ultimately reach the point in every conversation between women where we ask, “why are so many M3N serial killers?” So fun, :) instagram : https://www.instagram.com/vinephilo/https://www.instagram.com/vinephilo/twitter: https://twitter.com/vinephilo

"What is this?" You ask?"A new segment." I say.Yes, all the texts I wish I could send to my therapist that have nothing to do with personal growth or healing, that would probably be hippa violations. This is a new segment from the minds over at The Vine Philo Wellness Club (lol, literally Divine) about pop culture. What we're watching, what we're listening to, current events, news and so so so much more. On the very first episode of "Texts to my Therapist", Wednesday, For All Man Kind and Alice in Borderland. Three very different shows and Divines' ciritiqueof them all. We have a little Cold War history lession while talking about For All Man Kind, and also plan a wedding?
On this soley audio episode, Divine is going through it.She made it exactly three days into the new year before having her first panic attack. She's busy, she's stressed, she's in a transitional period. She's trying to figure it out. And obviously the solution to all her issues is waking up at 5 in the morning and doing daily cold plunges, duh.
On this weeks episode ! The ever changing beauty standard! One day BBL's are in, the next day they are out! On this episode Divine talks the moving goal post of unattainable beauty standards and plastic surgery—the need to feel that there will always be a part of ourself that isn't good enough! She explains why it's capitalisms fault. Yes, it is. She talks about the relationship between plastic surgery and black women, buccal fat removal, and how society has tied our beauty to what we deserve in life . Divine spends a considerable about of time making fun of crypto bros and dissecting why tf Elon Musk acts the way he does. She discusses social media, specifically twitter and it's impending downfall that she is looking forward to. She compares and contrasts it to Freuds psychoanalytic theory and evaluates the morality or lack thereof that comes with having the world at your finger tips. She reminisces on her days working in media and unpacks the future of digital media and its correlating trends.MERCH IS HERE! https://www.vinephilo.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/vinephilo/https://twitter.com/vinephiloListen to the Podcast Anywhere! https://linktr.ee/Povyouremytherapist
Ugly Men and the Audacity, what a great name for a band. This week was a mess. First the podcast mic did not record, then the camera lighting wasn't right. Then some woman confiscated our hosts eyebrows right off of her face. Then the podcast had to be re-flimed, not once, not twice, but three times. But through it all, Divine kept her cool...ish. This week our host talks about just that, keeping cool when the fire gets hot and rolling with lifes punches. She talks about making the conscious decision to not focus on the bad and to continuously celebrate the good. She mourns her eyebrows. She contemplates bangs. She bargains with God. Just the normal stuff. Our host then launches into the female gaze Tiktok--yes that one. The one with that guy that was later found to be a raging, violent, misogynist? Oh, still confused cuz there are so many? The ugly guy. The one who looks like Mr. Tumnus. Yes, that one. She talks about ugly men and their audacity, where they get it from. How in this patriarchy there will never be an instance where men 'get it" just because they're a little ugo. Why? Because they were raised in this society babe. Duh This leads into a larger conversation about the beauty standard, about expectations and so much more. Every week the same dilemma for our host, “What the hell am I going to talk about?” The irony in these sort of days when Divine does not feel like recording is that somehow it always produces the most honest and vulnerable conversations. Reminiscent of the very first episode of POV YOU'RE MY THERAPIST , “everyone is getting married and I just downloaded bumble…again.” This episode has a certain Jenny say Quan about it. Maybe it's the underlying wave of chaotic emotions Divine is desperate to somehow suppress but also use as content? Or maybe it's the countless melatonin fueled fever dreams she recounts in detail. Divine explores the themes of long term singleness, the catharsis she feels when she encounters other long term single women who are members of other social strata. She also explores how this long term singleness affects her friendships, and ex-friendships. There is also themes of a pity party, so of course Divine has to take you down the memory lane of failed situation-ships, friendships and hard learned life lessons.MERCH IS HERE! https://www.vinephilo.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/vinephilo/https://twitter.com/vinephiloListen to the Podcast Anywhere! https://linktr.ee/Povyouremytherapist

Divine also talks about Unsolved Mysteries (CW: violence against women), family annihilators, getting kidnapped and how she is not built to suffer or survive the apocalypse. She also talks about generational trauma in migrant families and late blooming anxiety in older generations. As well as physical means of releasing wound up tension. She also talks about why she's off men, (for real this time). How Men talk themselves out of sectual relations and why they annoy her. Be the first to know about mercy, giveaways and more! https://www.vinephilo.comIt was only 208 years ago that Jane Austen wrote Pride and Prejudice, a novel so timeless that it is still relevant to Divines life, in the form of a meme going around twitter of a very emotional Charlotte Lucas. She explains to her sister why she was marrying the "pompous, annoying" but not “evil” Mr. Collins. She says "I'm twenty seven years old, I've no money, no prospects and I'm already a burden to my parents. So, don't judge me Lizzy." Charlotte Lucas and our lovely host Divine have two of these things in common. I think you can guess which ones.On this weeks episode, Divine takes you on a journey through her birthday week so riddled with bad omens, that even Jane Austen could not set up a timeline so ridiculously unfortunate. The story begins with a b bloody broken nail and ends with a man with horrible breath. This episode focuses on friendship, relationships, disappointment, crushes, crying—all of it, every terrible little thought that rushes through the mind as a birthday approaches Divine goes through it all.Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vinephilo/https://twitter.com/vinephiloListen to the Podcast Anywhere! https://linktr.ee/Povyouremytherapist
Divine always felt like there are two versions of her--the Divine she is now, and the one she was. And if by chance, Divine were to walk by her old self on the street she wouldn't recognize her. Her head would be hung low, she'd be quiet, meek, full of shame and self loathing. If by some wild turn of events they ended up talking to one another, new Divine would tell old Divine, "girl, you gotta get a grip--forgive yourself." The rest of the conversations would include a lot of, "you don't need validation." "love yourself." ect. ect. all of those annoying adages that leave old Divine feeling unheard and misunderstood. But the thing new Divine knows, having been where old Divine stands now--is that it is all frustratingly true. Those adages, are years of therapy sessions, tears, long conversations, and healing boiled down into two over used words. "Love yourself." So on today's episode, in anticipation of a new year (I know it's early but hang in there) Divine wants you to start thinking about healing your wounded feminine energy. Those insecurities, that shame, that self loathing, that victimhood, that cold and bitter frustration that gnaws at you every waking moment. Yeah, we're getting rid of all of that shit and this episode is the starting point. enjoy! Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vinephilo/https://twitter.com/vinephiloListen to the Podcast Anywhere! https://linktr.ee/Povyouremytherapist
Deep In her core something shifted. In these last few months, Divine has more or less willingly sat out the dating scene. Passed up on advances, and actually listened to the old adage, "actions speak louder than words." And from her observations she has come to one conclusion... That men, no matter how innocent, air headed or playful they may be know exactly what they are doing..... In this episode, Divine wonders if there is such a thing as a good man. In this imbalanced society, where women seem to wear their hearts on their sleeves and men seem to be utterly clueless...she asks, is it possible to be that dumb? Or is it willful ignorance? As she approaches a cuffless fall, she looks to find comfort in herself and in radical feminist literature. When it comes to the topic of men, the words of Andre Leon Talley ring true to our host, "It's a famine of beauty, honey! My eyes (and soul) are starving for beauty!” But for as long as Divine seeks nourishment from men, she wonders (knows) that she will starve to death.
