Unlike past efforts, we've decided to mix things up by offering alternate versions of some of the biggest dance songs, instead of the versions you're all familiar with. The aim is to create a party mix of your favorite songs, rather than sounding like our end-of-year Top Dance Songs. In cases where there aren't any alternate versions, we've stuck with the original. There's very little Afro House (a term we dislike) with only a couple of exceptions. So, don't expect the Rivo remix of "You and Me" by Disclosure. Instead, we chose the original Flume remix from 2023 when the song was first released. No one's come close to topping that stellar banger. The same goes for "Murder On the Dance Floor," which opens this set. Most remixes stick to the original Nu Disco version with a modern update. David Guetta flips the song into a proper banger, setting the stage for this release right from the start. As usual, we mix in some newer songs that are heating up dance floors because we don't want to wait until our Summer Heat release. Music tends to get backed up this time of year. Adding newer songs alongside earlier releases spices things up and keeps it interesting. I'll be dropping Volume 2 of this series shortly — so be on the lookout for that. Until the next time...ENJOY! CONTENT WARNING: SA, True Crime, Murder Texts to my Therapist #8: One Direction Made Me Who I AmCONTENT WARNING: SA, True Crime, Murder On this weeks episode Divine talks about the Selena Gomez/ Hailey Bieber/ Kendall Jenner / Hadid sisters drama. This leads to a bigger conversation about fandom, and her experience as a One Directioner. The content warnings are for this next section, because yes she's been watching a lot (maybe too much) true crime. One that stuck out to her, real bad is "Don't F*ck With Cats", because after four years she finally watched it. She also talks about Succession and just crazy people in general.Love ya!

Questions in the Rain: Bong Joon-ho's Memories of Murder On this week's episode of WatchThis W/RickRamos, Mr. Chavez & I continue our exploration of South Korean Cinema with a look at Bong Joon-ho's Memories of Murder. Based on a true-life series of rapes and murders that captured and terrified the minds of South Koreans from 1986 thru 1991, Bong's film is a subtle and intriguing police procedural that takes the great elements of Police-Thrillers, Crime, and Noir. Memories of Murder is a captivating and powerful look at paranoia, fear, and the minutiae of police work It's a beautifully realized and thrilling introduction to a filmmaker that would make an incredible stamp on Cinema in the years to come. Take a listen and let us know what you think. It's an interesting and fun talk. Questions, Comments, Complaints, & Suggestions can be directed to gondoramos@yahoo.com. Many Thanks.

In our post-9/11 world, it's safe to say that 9/11 gave the CIA complete and total control over the release of any information potentially related to terror. More specifically in this case, the CIA wields “State Secrets Privilege,” which allows the government to withhold any information that comes forward in litigation it suspects could compromise national security. For those interested in the legacy of Guantanamo Bay and what it means for American security in a post-9/11 world, US v. Zubaydah is one of the most prominent challenges to state secrets privilege to date. For more background on Abu Zubaydah, we recommend this article by The Rendition Project. But for this case, the question the court must answer is whether the CIA must confirm details related to the detention of Abu Zubaydah for a legal proceeding in Poland (not even a case in the United States). Tune in for: Legal discussion on the “State Secrets Privilege” Thoughts on American security in the post-9/11 era How it might feel when a Supreme Court justice calls your argument “farcical” To put it mildly, fuming, rage from Justice Gorsuch towards one attorney during rebuttal Last but not least, we rate how well one side's Murder On the Orient Express reference landed with US Supreme Court Justices
