In this message, Pastor Noel kicks off Riverview Church's new series "One More" discussing the book of Acts, explaining how the Christian faith is not a blind belief, but is supported by the compelling evidence of Jesus' resurrection. He highlights the mission of the early apostles, who were willing to give their lives because they saw the resurrected Jesus.Subscribe to AfterWords on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts.Download a copy of the Exodus JournalVisit us online: rivchurch.comFollow us on InstagramSend us feedback: podcast@rivchurch.comSubscribe to AfterWords on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts.Visit us online: rivchurch.comFollow us on InstagramSend us feedback: podcast@rivchurch.com

Send me a Text Message! Are you connected? There are so many things in this world that can cause us to disconnect and isolate. But together is better. Thta's the message of James, over and over and over again. The heart behind his words to the scattered is simply, "Together is better." It is. Together is better. To the scattered, do everything you can to preserve together. Don't get scattered in hard times. Don't suffer alone. Pray with others. Don't let hard times scatter us. If you are going through a difficult time, don't just take it to God, take it to God together. Because, say it with me one more time, "Together is better!"

Episode 362: RASHAD SMITH (Pt.1): The Mystery Beatmaker for Rakim, Uptown Records & Busta Rhymes This week on @RoadPodcast, the crew sits down for Part 1 of an epic two-part conversation with legendary producer @Rashad_Ringo_Smith — the mastermind behind tracks for @TheNotoriousBIG, @BustaRhymes, @JayZ, @Beyonce, @TheGodRakim, and more. You may not know his name, but you definitely know his sound. Rashad kicks things off by reflecting on his early days as a DJ, his childhood nicknames, and the powerful influence his mother had on his musical journey (00:11). He shares his deep love for jazz and reveals how he flipped the same sample two different ways for Busta Rhymes' “Woo Hah” and its remix featuring @OlDirtyBastardLegacy (08:55). He breaks down the art of crate digging with iconic producers, the origins of the “pause tape,” and how it became the foundation for early production before DAWs (18:01). Rashad dives deep into the making of “Woo Hah,” seeing the Hype Williams-directed video for the first time, and Spike Lee's unexpected interest in using the track for Clockers (38:01). From crafting “Don't Sweat the Technique” to the murky politics of credit in the industry (58:10), Rashad opens up about why he calls himself “The Muted Drum” — a nod to his role as one of the most “unknown, known” producers in hip-hop (1:11:04). He also shares stories from his time at Uptown Records, working with a young @Diddy, and the moment he invented the producer tag (1:31:01), before diving into the rise of Bad Boy Records and the complicated dynamics behind the scenes (1:55:01). The episode wraps with Rashad reflecting on the making of the classic Notorious B.I.G. track “One More Time” (2:10:33). Don't miss Part 2, where Rashad speaks on more of his iconic tracks and tells unforgettable stories. And, to everyone who spent time with us for this story, from a construction site in rural Alabama to the streets of New Orleans' Gentilly neighborhood. Comment on this episode by going to KDramaChat.comToday, we'll be discussing the movie Miss Granny, the hit Korean film starring Shim Eun-kyung as Oh Doo-ri, Na Moon-hee as the older Oh Mal-soon, Park In-hwan as Mr. Park, Sung Dong-il as Ban Hyun-chul, and Lee Jin-wook as Han Seung-woo. We discuss:The songs featured during the recap, including One More Time and Raindrop, both performed by Shim Eun-kyung, as well as If You Go to Los Angeles by Rose Motel and Shim Eun-kyung, and nostalgic covers like White Butterfly and Crying in the Night. How the movie blends humor and poignancy, diving into themes of aging, regret, family sacrifice, and how older women become invisible in society. The magical photo studio where Oh Mal-soon transforms back into her 20-year-old self, adopting the name Oh Doo-ri after her favorite star, Audrey Hepburn. The generational conflicts and multigenerational living arrangements, especially the tension between Oh Mal-soon and her long-suffering daughter-in-law Ae-ja.The cultural commentary on Korean society's reverence for elders, contrasted with the modern obsession with youth and beauty. The hilarious and touching portrayal by Shim Eun-kyung, whose physical comedy, mannerisms, and singing won her multiple Best Actress awards, including a Baeksang. How Oh Doo-ri's youthful appearance sparks new attention—from young men on the bus to a budding flirtation with the charming music producer Han Seung-woo.The layered dynamics between Oh Mal-soon, her son Ban Hyun-chul, her grandson Ban Ji-ha, and Grandpa Park, who has loved her since childhood. The memorable musical performances, especially Raindrop, filled with longing and life experience, and how Shim Eun-kyung did her own singing in the film. How the movie reflects on women's worth across the decades, through metaphors comparing women to different types of balls—and the critique of society's gaze. The heartfelt scene when Oh Mal-soon sacrifices her youth to save her grandson by donating blood, embracing her true self and familial love. How Miss Granny touches on themes of parental sacrifice, fulfillment of dreams, and the bittersweet opportunity to "start over"—even if only temporarily.ReferencesShim Eun-kyung - Wikipediahttps://koreancuisinerecipes.com/sengseon-jorim-생선조림/Bingsu - Wikipediahttps://www.koreanbapsang.com/la-galbi-gui-grilled-la-style-short-ribs/Roman Holiday - WikipediaCheongsimhwan - WikipediaKorean Media Age at First Marriage

Pacers best players MUST play like the best players on the floor Thursday night to beat the Thunder in Game Six. Turnovers CANNOT lead to Thunder offense, or it is academic. Kevin Pritchard made a trade today that sets him up for a trade or two this offseason to lift the roster a level. Colts place two players on Pete Prisco's top 100 - and while that does not seem like a lot, it's more than PFF will give the Colts - maybe by two! Fever tonight, which means another chance to see Caitlin Clark do something awesome! In this week's solo episode, there's no time for filler, and Dylan gets right into Andy's response to the RHONY cancelation rumors (and what they mean for New Jersey). Then, he unpacks the first three episodes of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 2, starting with how fame has changed the definition of ‘MomTok.' He weighs in on the two toxic relationships in the group, and salutes the newest face in the group (Taylor's mom). Later, he evaluates what really went down between Jesse and Lexi on Summer House, and why Lexi's big moment couldn't compare to Lindsay's Freedom Dinner. Finally, he has some opinions on The Valley's Santa Barbara trip, and why Zack is having a stellar season. Achoo! We're falling in love with the one and only Faith Prince. You Might Know Her From Modern Family, Emily in Paris, Melissa & Joey, Spin City, My Father the Hero, The Last Dragon, and Broadway productions of Guys & Dolls, A Catered Affair, Bells Are Ringing, and BOOP! Faith talked to us about grounding her character, Valentina, in the cartoonish plot of BOOP!, coping with fame during her star-making turn in Guys & Dolls, and leaning on her co-star Gerard Depardieu in one of her first leading roles on camera in My Father the Hero. Faith also shared stories from working as a Broadway replacement in the cumbersome costume of Ursula in The Little Mermaid and the notoriously “realistic” production of Anne as Miss Hannigan. All that, plus working with theatre legends like Jerome Robbins, Abe Burrows, Betty Comden & Adolph Green, doing dialect work at Joey Lawrence and Lily Collins, doing her best Cyndi Lauper in cult fave The Last Dragon (and making pals with Berry Gordy, and working with Jean Smart and Mary McDonnell in the short-lived High Society. This one was a HOOT. Berry Gordy took her OUT and called her “baby” “One More Time” in First Wives Club “How do you know if someone has lived through trauma — by the way they get someone who doesn't like them, to like them.” Cole Escola of Oh, Mary! on CBS Sunday Morning Was in first 6 episodes of High Society with Jean Smart and Mary McDonnell (based on AbFab and Faith played the Saffy character) Faith Prince's “Men” from Nick & Nora. The show was a notorious flop. Arthur told Faith she was making a big mistake by leaving show to do Guys & Dolls. Mary Rodgers told her she could find a way into Anna through Gertrude Lawrence, who was a comedienne. Was offered the role of Audrey in the original Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors Went to CCM with Jim Walton Had taken the revue, Scrambled Feet and was doing an IBM industrial so couldn't' take LSOH Lance Roberts is currently in Just in Time Ellen Greene did Adelaide at The Hollywood Bowl Studied Donna Murphy who she replaced in The King & I and then did Wonderful Town (at LA Opera) Katie Finneran talked with us about James Lapine's realistic interpretation of Annie and Miss Hannigan in the 2012 revival. Said it was a challenge in the NYT. Re the 2012 revival of Annie: Andrea McArdle said “I didn't know we were doing Secret Garden” Associate Director Wes Grantham LOVES HUMOR, unlike Lapine Martin Charnin & Charles Strouse KISSED HER FEET when they visited her backstage John Doyle who directed A Catered Affair also backs away from the humor We love Bells are Ringing - Faith starred in the 2001 Broadway revival. Difficult because of Mitchell Maxwell who produced Had to ride an actor in Grey's Anatomy because character's IUD got stuck on her ex-husband's Prince Albert penis piercing Does some great character work in the indie film Our Very Own (got gig from doing reading of The Women with Allison Janney) IMDB lists her on an ep of Mad Men. INCORRECT. Martin Short was in Dennis Quaid movie, Innerspace My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies was an incredible, formative concert Managing Ursula costume in The Little Mermaid was worse than managing the wig in her Lifetime movie with Kathleen Turner, Friends at Last Vicki Lewis told us she held Dixie Carter's spit cup in a production of Mame she was in with Faith Christopher Walken kept pickled things in the pockets of his costume during James Joyce's The Dead (Marni Nixon was also in the show) We interviewed Annaleigh Ashford who is maybe made in the mold of Faith Prince Damian is seeing an Italian production of Cats / Anne is seeing her nephew do Grease Jr. in Sicily DUCK ASS HAIR for Danny Zuko
