Unfortunately Emotional intelligence isn't taught in school even though it is as important as our "Intelligence Quotient" if not more. It is so significant in fact, that without the appropriate emotional state your analytic brain can't even function properly. That's the reason why I invite my guest Trina Casey to chat with me. My guest today was a single mom for years. She spent quite some time struggling to raise her two sons alone, until she was able to manifest her dream husband. She learned that there is a process to manifesting what you are looking for. Her's began with learning that she had to stop playing a victim. Her turning point was finding herself on her knees, in her closet, praying for something to change. She was finally ready to consciously put an end to allowing the things she did not want in her life, and all around her resources began to appear. Then, she met a man in a way that looked like it was a "coincidence." She knew that coincidence had nothing to do with it. It was with a combination of awareness and surrender that she met and married her current husband. As you will see in this episode, manifesting has a lot to do with being grateful and at peace. I never thought that would be me at 54! But yet, every time I sat down to record my next solo episode I could do it.... My mind was going blank, my body was feeling nauseous, impossible! So every day, as I was getting up I started asking myself : "are we there yet? Will today be the day when I'll get my alignment high my inspiration going? Nope, not yet." Until yesterday, as I sat on my meditation pillow, on the floor, I felt the urge to record there, on the floor! You know me, I listen to my body. I am even packing to move to a completely different country because of my body's wisdom! So, of course I listened. I didn't have a choice. It had been long in the making but my latest episode is finally here and it is definitely timely. In this episode I talked about avoiding the trap of fear and navigating our difficult times with an elevated approach. I even included a short inner journey to align with high vibration energy and gaining clarity on your own personal role in the changes taking place in the world. Fear is all around and in us so this is a crucial moment to make sure that you take care of yourself and and resist the temptation to find a solution unless you are aligned.
This episode is part two of the episode from last week. In the last episode we created space for our happiness and this week we will each create our own versions of happiness. I will share an exercise where you allow your heart to lead the way through the process to your personal path to achieving the happiness we have been welcoming into our lives. As always, don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have in the comments and I'll be in touch!
A lesson from COVID- 19 Do you live and practice your life in a way that is truly congruent with the happiness that you seek? Sometimes, rather than seeking or incorporating new habits into our lives to produce happiness, we must instead get rid of habits in order to make space in which that happiness can exist.
I’m sure that there has been a challenge in your life that has made you question your ability to overcome it. You may even be in the trenches of that challenge right now. My guest today is here to show you that if you do the work, you can truly overcome anything. Happy Mother's Day! Being a mom isn't easy and there is no manual to guide us. Don't you wish that sometimes you could ask a wise one for some advice? In this bonus episode I included a meditation to connect with your guides, your ancestors and the Universe and ask for higher guidance. Use that meditation every time you need it!
Just like with anything taken to extremes, conscious parenting can have dangerous side effects. It is important to filter the advice we receive in order to identify the tools that resonate with the wisdom we have acquired through life. It is a delicate balance between take and toss, and it is our responsibility to do the sorting.
In this episode I do something a little unusual that I practice every day. I remove myself and my expectations as obstacles and allow curiosity to take the lead.
