    Ivy Insights

The Sister Sister The Podcast is an incredible and life-changing podcast that has had a profound impact on my life. I find myself listening to it more than I sleep, and it has become a constant companion throughout my days. The uniqueness and realness of the podcast are what make it truly special. It feels like having a conversation with close friends or family, and I love that they discuss real issues in our community. As a mental health therapist, I appreciate how the podcast normalizes important topics in a chill and relatable environment. It truly feels like sitting with primas back home in Cali. This podcast has inspired me to embrace positive changes in my life, and I eagerly look forward to the person I am becoming because of it.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the energy and chemistry between the hosts, Raq C and Susie. Their dynamic is engaging and their discussions are always interesting and thought-provoking. I love how they bring different perspectives to the table and aren't afraid to disagree with each other, which is not something you see often with family members. Listening to them speak about their own lives, relationships, and experiences has been incredibly inspiring. In particular, Susie's marriage inspires me to speak highly of my own partner, while Raq C's openness about her journey as a sexual abuse survivor resonates deeply with me. Their discussions on sexuality have encouraged me to reclaim my own sexuality and work towards a more fulfilling sex life.

Another aspect that sets this podcast apart is its ability to make me laugh out loud while also bringing tears to my eyes. The hosts have a great sense of humor and their anecdotes never fail to entertain me throughout my day. They also tackle serious topics with compassion and empathy, creating a safe space for listeners to explore their own vulnerabilities and growth.

If there was one criticism I would have about this podcast, it would be that sometimes episodes can feel rushed or unfinished. There are moments where I wish they would delve deeper into certain topics or provide more actionable advice. However, I understand that each episode has a time constraint and it is challenging to cover everything in detail.

In conclusion, The Sister Sister The Podcast is a phenomenal podcast that has had a profound impact on me. It is informative, empowering, and entertaining all at once. Raq C and Susie create a space for real conversations about important issues in a relatable and authentic way. This podcast has taught me valuable lessons, made me laugh, and inspired me to become a better version of myself. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a journey towards personal growth and empowerment.

We see a lot of conversations on the internet where people talk about the importance of being humble. They say being humble will take you places, BUT, they forget to tell you that being too humble won't take you anywhere.     There is a thin line between being humble and being too humble. The difference is big. One can take you to great heights, meanwhile the other can prevent others from knowing about you. In the current world we live in, we should be the marketers of our own talent. People are often busy with their own lives. They won't be able to see your potential unless you show them what you've got. We're not telling you to be arrogant or be a show-off. There is a thin line between telling “I can do it” and “I am the only person who can do it.” Always go for the first option. Let's get into the conversation and take a look at what happens when you're being too humble. _________________________________________________________ Follow us on IG: @straightupsistersthepodcast @raqcsworld @lasusie Follow us on YOUTUBE: Straight Up Sisters Podcast For full episodes in AUDIO and VIDEO subscribe to Patreon.com/straightupsisters Email us: hello@straightupsisters.com

Accountability is a game changer! It's super humbling yes… BUT it removes the shame from your choices and circumstances. Accountability is the ability to take responsibility for one's actions, decisions, and behaviors, and to accept the consequences But why is accountability so hard? It's largely because we aren't very good at admitting when we've made mistakes. It sucks! In fact, scientifically, our brains will naturally do whatever they can to justify our actions so that we feel better about our decisions. The LACK of accountability is when we fail to accept our own shortcomings and mistakes. Blame it on the internet, or blame it on the misogynistic culture we live in, one things for sure… we can't escape the sexualization of just about everything these days it seems. Is it that the access to sex has become easier over the years? Maybe it's the instinctive fear and panic that we feel when we think about our children (or any children) getting hurt by a predator? Or maybe it's our own past traumas and experiences mixed with the saturation of sexual content that makes us just shut down when it comes to actually educating ourselves and our kids about sex? We're not sure what the exact culprit is, but we do know that a good place to start is by opening dialogue about the things that make us uncomfortable or scared. https://itaglobal.com/products/straight-up-sisters-retreat-little-corn-island _________________________________________________________ Follow us on IG: @straightupsistersthepodcast @raqcsworld @lasusie Follow us on YOUTUBE: Straight Up Sisters Podcast For full episodes in AUDIO and VIDEO subscribe to Patreon.com/straightupsisters Email us: hello@straightupsisters.com

I have to do a mountain of laundry. I don't feel good in any of my going-out outfits. This is just another example of how we put our lives on hold for One Day When… we're thinner, richer, smarter, or whatever criticism we're feeling particularly strongly that day. What does it mean to say “yes” to life — to surrender to what is! Can you, truly, say “yes” to life? _________________________________________________________ Follow us on IG: @straightupsistersthepodcast @raqcsworld @lasusie Follow us on YOUTUBE: Straight Up Sisters Podcast For full episodes in AUDIO and VIDEO subscribe to Patreon.com/straightupsisters Email us: hello@straightupsisters.com
