The Geekz are BACK after a week off — and we've got a loaded show!

After years apart, The Geekz are finally back together — in person!

It's Halloween night, and we've reached the end of our Geekz 31 Days of Horror 2025 marathon!

Welcome back to Geekz 31 Days of Horror! Tonight, we're diving into one of 2025's most talked-about psychological thrillers — the chilling reimagining of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (2025), now streaming on Hulu! This modern update of the 1992 classic trades in suburbia for the sun-soaked streets of Los Angeles, where Caitlin Morales (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) — a successful attorney and new mom — hires the seemingly perfect nanny Polly Murphy (Maika Monroe). But as Polly's calm, caring façade begins to crack, Caitlin and her husband Miguel (Raúl Castillo) uncover a web of manipulation, obsession, and psychological terror that turns their dream home into a nightmare.

Welcome back to Geekz 31 Days of Horror! Tonight, we're hitting the lanes for one of the wildest, sleaziest, and most hilariously chaotic horror comedies of the 1980s — Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama (1988)!

Welcome back to Geekz 31 Days of Horror! Tonight, we're unlocking the doors to one of Japan's most fascinating and underrated haunted-house horrors — Sweet Home (1989), directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa and produced by Juzo Itami. A documentary crew enters an abandoned mansion once owned by a reclusive artist, hoping to uncover lost paintings for their TV special. But when they disturb the restless spirit of the artist's wife, the crew faces grotesque hauntings, fiery deaths, and supernatural vengeance that will test both courage and sanity.

Welcome back to Geekz 31 Days of Horror! Tonight, we're dusting off a hidden VHS-era gem — the 1991 indie slasher HauntedWeen — a movie that delivers Halloween mayhem, over-the-top kills, and pure 90s camp fun! When a tragic accident shuts down a haunted attraction, years later a college fraternity decides to reopen the old haunt for a charity event… only to discover that something evil never left. What starts as a night of partying and pranks turns into a blood-soaked horror show as a masked killer takes "hands-on" scaring to the next level.

Welcome back to Geekz 31 Days of Horror! Tonight, we're diving into one of 2025's most chilling and emotional supernatural thrillers — Bring Her Back (2025). When a grieving mother begins to sense her deceased daughter's presence, what starts as a comforting connection soon spirals into a haunting nightmare. As grief twists into obsession and the veil between the living and the dead begins to tear, she must confront whether what's returning is truly her child — or something far darker.

Welcome back to Geekz 31 Days of Horror! Tonight, we travel to the eerie shores of Summerisle to uncover the haunting mystery of The Wicker Man (1973) — one of the most influential and chilling folk horror films ever made. When Sergeant Howie (Edward Woodward) arrives on a remote Scottish island to investigate the disappearance of a young girl, he finds a community deeply devoted to pagan rituals and ancient fertility traditions. But as his search leads him deeper into the island's beliefs — and to the charismatic Lord Summerisle (Christopher Lee) — the line between faith, fear, and fanaticism blurs… until the shocking and unforgettable ending that redefined horror cinema.

The Geekz head into brutal territory in our 31 Days of Horror marathon with The Brute (2025) — the latest nightmare from director Marcel Walz, reimagining the 1976 cult classic with a savage modern twist. When Raquel and her girlfriend break down on a deserted highway, they stumble upon what appears to be an abandoned mine — only to discover a violent family of masked killers lurking in the shadows. As their friends arrive in a nearby town called Savage, they uncover its gruesome history of bloodshed… and realize the nightmare has only just begun. In our review, we break down the film's relentless pacing, gritty atmosphere, and shocking kills that push the boundaries of backwoods horror. We'll talk about Walz's disturbing visual style, the performances that make this low-budget shocker feel uncomfortably real, and how The Brute (2025) reinvents rural horror for a new generation. Is this modern remake a brutal masterpiece — or just a bloody descent into chaos? Find out as we continue reviewing 31 horror movies for 31 days of October!

The Geekz head back to summer camp for another killer entry in our 31 Days of Horror marathon with She Came From the Woods (2022) — a bloody love letter to 80s slashers filled with campfire scares, synth vibes, and over-the-top carnage. When a group of counselors accidentally awaken an evil spirit during their last night at camp, what starts as a fun prank turns into a night of supernatural revenge and gory mayhem. In our review, we break down the film's nostalgic tone, practical effects, and strong performances from Cara Buono(Stranger Things), William Sadler (Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey), and Spencer List. We'll also talk about how director Erik Bloomquist blends humor, heart, and horror in a way that both honors and pokes fun at classic 80s slashers. Does She Came From the Woods earn its place among modern camp horror greats — or should it have stayed in the woods? Find out as we continue reviewing 31 horror movies for 31 days of October!

The Geekz are back with another bite-sized scare for our 31 Days of Horror marathon — this time digging into the Tubi Original Takeout (2025)! What starts as an ordinary food delivery turns into a night of chaos, blood, and pure terror when a delivery driver discovers he's dropped off more than dinner — he's served up death. In our review, we break down Takeout's mix of dark humor, urban paranoia, and slasher-style tension that makes it one of Tubi's boldest horror originals yet. We'll talk about the film's low-budget creativity, the performances, and whether this streaming-exclusive delivers real suspense or just reheats familiar horror tropes. Was Takeout (2025) worth your time — or should you send it back? Find out as we continue reviewing 31 horror movies for 31 days of October!
