Unveiled at CCXP Brazil on Dec 7, 2025, this first look thrusts us into Homelander's dystopian America—a world warped by his erratic, egomaniacal rule, where Supes enforce martial law and The Boys face their darkest hour.Hughie, Mother's Milk, and Frenchie rot in a brutal "Freedom Camp," while Starlight (Annie) rallies a desperate resistance against an unstoppable Supe army. Kimiko vanishes into the chaos, leaving fans on edge. Enter Billy Butcher, resurfacing with a game-changing virus poised to eradicate all Supes, igniting a chain reaction that promises to shatter the world forever. "It's the climax, people. Big stuff's gonna happen," teases the trailer's tagline, amplified by Karl Urban's gravelly narration and Antony Starr's chilling Homelander smirk. The teaser spotlights epic returns: Jensen Ackles' cryogenic Soldier Boy thaws for chaos, joined by Supernatural reunion magic with Jared Padalecki's mysterious new role (hint: shadowy alliance with Homelander) and whispers of Misha Collins. Eric Kripke's panel reveal has sparked frenzy, with the two-episode premiere kicking off weekly drops through the May 20 finale—setting up an all-out bloodbath blending satire, betrayal, and Supe genocide stakes.Analytic Dreamz breaks down the trailer's shocking visuals, plot twists, and why this endgame elevates The Boys beyond Marvel/DC tropes into must-watch TV anarchy. From Homelander's cult empire to Butcher's moral abyss, explore how Season 5 delivers the gore-soaked payoff we've craved. ¡Dorothy! THE GREATEST SEQUELS NEVER MADE! Dive into the ultimate "what if" rabbit hole with Reel Rejects' Greg Alba & Coy Jandreau as they unpack cancelled sequels and unmade movies that could've rewritten Hollywood history! From Kylo Ren's scrapped Star Wars solo film and David Fincher's dark Star Wars vision to epic follow-ups like Alita: Battle Angel 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 with Andrew Garfield's Sinister Six showdown, and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 featuring Vulture and Anne Hathaway's Black Cat— these abandoned movie sequels had killer plots, A-list talent, and game-changing concepts that got shelved for good (or bad) reasons. In this unmade movies deep dive, we break down Darren Aronofsky's gritty Batman: Year One, Neill Blomkamp's District 10, Dredd 2 with Judge Death, Edge of Tomorrow 2: Live Die Repeat and Repeat, the terrifying E.T. 2: Nocturnal Fears, Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash, The Godfather Part IV with Leo DiCaprio as young Sonny, Gremlins 3 in Vegas, Joel Schumacher's Batman Unchained, the wild Jurassic Park 4 dino-human hybrids, Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 3, Man of Steel 2 with Brainiac and Supergirl, the original Matrix 4 pitch, The Nice Guys 2, Roger Rabbit 2: Who Discovered Roger Rabbit, Tim Burton's Batman 3, Tim Miller's Deadpool 2, David Fincher's World War Z 2, and Zack Snyder's Justice League sequels complete with Darkseid, Knightmare timelines, and a Bruce Kent epilogue! Art went out for coffee instead of coming to the studio, leaving Robbie and Jay a choice: talk about Art? or talk about coffee? Perhaps there was a little of both. One of Robbie's entrepreneurial adventures won a major award this fall for the seasonal coffee drink everyone loves to have an opinion on: the Pumpkin Spice Latte. That excitement led to a discussion about all things coffee. Methods vary, milk types vary, ratios vary, and coffee shops vary, but both the Guys agree: they want to taste the coffee. In this week's Geeks, Jay announces a title change for an actor with lots of geek cred, and Robbie tells of the upcoming anniversary of a Marvel-DC clash of the universes between an alien and an arachnid. Grab a PSL and listen up.

Pittsburgh Penguins Opener: 7th Avenue Freeze-Out 10/03/25Today's episode kicks off with a special appearance by one of our favorite baristas at our partner, Espresso a Mano's Dormont café.After some armchair Penguins Hockey quarterback'ing by co-hosts - Jeff Taylor and Jordan DeFigio, opining is conducted as to which NHL hockey club various Marvel / DC superheroes and supervillains might support - if they were in fact …real. The problem of the Penguins' 2025-2026 likely netminding personnel is bemoaned, partly analyzed, though mostly complained about. Jeff and Jordan talk about a couple upcoming music performances and releases of their own, and the location of Madison Square Garden - the site of the Pittsburgh Penguins' season opener against the hosting NY Rangers - is clarified in spite of the much-used phrase, ‘On Broadway' when referring to the Rags' home rink.Special thanks to Espresso A Mano, Pittsburgh's finest coffee roasters and cafe, for partnering with Fly Penguins Fly podcast. In our latest DC spolight, Jace and Rocky run through a busy October 1 slate while previewing NYCC plans for panel live-tweets and interviews if Jace can make it to the show plus industry buzz from Vertigo and big Marvel/DC crossover whispers. The kick things off by breaking down the current Batman era's tone and art, while debating Gotham's law-and-order vibe as it compares to real-world events currently. Gotham Academy: First Year is Jace's first exposure to the property and Ricky get a “Wednesday-esque” feel from it, the Justice League: Omega Act Special is a perfect jumping on point into the next big event, DC K.O. and sums up everything happpening in DC over that last year. Poison Ivy's run earns kudos for layered, flawed character work. Cassandra Cain's globe-trotting martial-arts arc sparks a deep dive on DC's fight-lore and works for Rocky while Jace is still underwhelmed, while Absolute Green Lantern's dense worldbuilding is best enjoyed as fresh space opera rather than familiar Lantern canon. A slick heist setup in Cheetah & Cheshire Rob the Justice League shines for character moments, while Absolute Superman spotlights Kal's evolving bond with Sol, his AI guardian and and also Kal's Smallville ties, Adventures of Superman: Book of El builds future-era intrigue, the Zatanna Panic Halloween anthology offers bite-size spooky detours to celebrate Halloween, and JSA reaches a long-awaited finale. As always Jace gives a rundown of collected editions out this week also and the guys wrap things up with their weekly rankings of all the DC titles they've read.

Show notes provided by Joe PelusoIt's been a while since the back door to Mincondition was open(digitally speaking), but with the seasons turning so have James and Joe returned with the latest informal confabs on the current status of the pop culture universe. And it might take a universe, or at least the Alpha Quadrant, to contain all the subjects approached in this episode! Wow! The guys packed a lot into this one! Here's is but a sampling of what you will hear discussed in thisouting: A new Batman number one (only the fourth such issue since 1939!), the most recent Marvel/DC team-up featuring Batman and Deadpool, DC/KO, Superman:The Last Days of Lex Luthor, The Absolute Universe, Space Ghost, Speed Racer, and a list of recommendations that will put a strain on your wallet. And then there's the BIG stuff: Skydance buys Paramount Plus,Paramount Plus possibly acquiring the DCU, the future of Star Trek, the "mystery" surrounding syndicated TV shows and streaming services, the availability and access to new comics, Dexter Resurrection Season One, and the passing of Hollywood legend Robert Redford. All this, and more, awaits you in this most recent Back of theStore Episode! If you only listen to one podcast episode this year (Well, how about this month), it must be this one! A little side note to those with a weak stomach: The horrific loss of the Giants to the Cowboys in week two of the NFL season somehow made its way into this installment. You have been warned.

This week, Deadpool/Batman will be released, the first Marvel/DC crossover in well over a decade. And as anyone who knows how comics work, the biggest characters are the ones who get crossed over, and no one at DC is bigger than Batman. So to tie in, we're reading three Batman/Marvel team-ups. These are some fun books, and we have a good time. Plus, Will finally gets us to reverse the way the show works, and it confuses us both. Glad that's over... Batman Vs.
