I absolutely love The Virtual Book Tour podcast! As an avid reader and book lover, I was thrilled when Book of the Month decided to expand their platform to include a podcast. This podcast is the perfect companion for those times when I can't have my nose in a book, allowing me to still engage with authors and hear about their inspirations and perspectives.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the interviews with the authors. The hosts ask great questions and it's fascinating to hear from the authors themselves about what inspired their stories. It adds an extra layer of depth and insight to the books that I wouldn't get just from reading them. I also appreciate that the episodes are short and sweet, making them perfect for a quick listen during a commute or while doing chores.

Another fantastic aspect of this podcast is the inclusion of short stories. Short stories are often underrated compared to novels, so it's wonderful to see them getting some recognition here. It's refreshing to hear shorter works being celebrated and it adds variety to the podcast lineup. I hope that they continue to feature more short stories in future episodes.

While there aren't many negative aspects to this podcast, one thing that could be improved is the inclusion of more audience participation. The reviewer mentioned wanting BOTM to open up virtual book tour podcasts to readers so they can join in as part of the audience. I think this would be a great addition as it would allow for even more engagement with listeners and create a sense of community around each episode.

In conclusion, The Virtual Book Tour podcast is an absolute delight for book lovers like myself. The interviews with authors provide fascinating insights into their work, and the inclusion of short stories adds variety and appreciation for shorter works. While there could be more audience participation, overall this podcast is a must-listen for anyone who loves books and writing. I can't wait for future episodes!
