Jsem na cestě přesně týden a dva dny už se všechno sype – zdravím z Derbentu na jihu ruského Dagestánu. Tak například obuv, i když to je ještě řešitelný problém. A teď už jo.Zatím každý můj kamioňák požádal o vyzutí, i oni šlapou na pedály v ponožkách. Boty se ukládají na schůdky pod dveřmi, ale na jeden se těžko vejdou (pokud nemáte praxi a navíc nejste šikovní), tak jsem včera kousek před hranicí s Ázerbájdžánem nechal jednu na prostředním a druhou na nejnižším schodu.Pak jsem se na té hranici dostal do potíží. Jakýsi ruský rozvědčík mávl, ať za ním laskavě vyjdu ven, a ať si vezmu krosnu a všechno, že dál už rozhodně neprojedu. Tak jsem poslechl – a rozvědčík nejspíš dost koukal, jak se chytám za hlavu a potom si mnu oči: „Bože, bota!“ Nejnižší schod dveře po zavření nezakryjí, takže se moje levá bota zjevně pár metrů vezla a na prvním hrbolku spadla do škarpy: „Promiňte, pane rozvědčíku, hned se vám budu věnovat. Jenom musím ze dna krosny vyhrabat sandále, které jsem plánoval nosit až někde v poušti nebo u moře.“

Who was Pauline Boty? With her blonde, backcombed hairstyle and It Girl charm, this pioneer of Pop Art embodied  the 1960s scene in London, hanging with Bob Dylan, posing for David Bailey, and acting with Michael Caine in the film Alfie. As a new generation discovers her work, Danielle Radojcin and guests explore the tragically short life and burgeoning legacy of this extraordinary woman.  Born in 1938 in Croydon, Boty studied at The Royal Academy and became a part of the nascent British pop art movement, along with the likes of Peter Blake and Derek Boshier. Episode 55 of ‘All About Art': Writing an Artist Biography: Discussing Pauline Boty with Marc Kristal In this episode, I sat down with Marc Kristal, who recently published the biography of British pop artist Pauline Boty. This episode and the book's publication is concurrent to an exhibition of Boty's works at Gazelli Art House in London. Boty was born in South London, and in 1954, she received a scholarship to Wimbledon School of Art and then continued her studies at the Royal College of Art in the late 50's. She worked across a variety of mediums that include painting, collage, and stained glass and was known for celebrating her womanhood and sexuality in an unapologetic and open way. She died at the young age of 28, and has been a lesser known member of the British Pop Art Movement in comparison to her male counterparts. Pauline Boty's artwork is held in a few amazing collections, including The National Portrait Gallery and Tate Britain in London as well as the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington. New bitcoin are issued by the Bitcoin network every 10 minutes. For the first four years of Bitcoin's existence, the amount of new bitcoins issued every 10 minutes was 50. Every four years, this number is cut in half. The day the amount halves is called a "halving" or "halvening" or better than those two the “halfinning”   In 2012, the number of new bitcoins issued every 10 minutes dropped from 50 bitcoins to 25. In 2016, it dropped from 25 to 12.5. In the most recent May 11, 2020 halving, the reward dropped from 12.5 to 6.25 BTC per block.   Next halfinning is estimated to occur April 17, 2024, the reward will drop from 6.25 BTC per block to 3.125 BTC.   2012 Halving The 2012 block halving was the first halving and happened on November 28th, 2012.  From 50 BTC per block to 25 BTC per block Price on Halving Day: $12.35 Price 150 Days Later: $127.00   2016 Halving The second halving occurred on July 9th, 2016. 25 BTC per block to 12.5 BTC per block Price on Halving Day: $650.63 Price 150 Days Later: $758.81   2020 Halving The third halving occurred on May 11, 2020. 12.5 BTC per block to 6.25 BTC per block Price on Halving Day: $8821.42 Price 150 Days Later: $10,943.00   Global Hashrate Global Hashrate - on the day of the first halving was about 24 TH but a year later jumped to 4,837 TH. 20054% increase. 266% increase. On halving number 2 July 9th 2016 Hashrate was at 1.5 million TH but a year later jumped to 5.5 million, that's a 266% increase. Halving number 3 was May 2020 120 million TH or 120 EH. A year later global hashrate jumped to 163 million TH or 163 EH.
