There's a silent struggle that many couples face—issues of pain, discomfort, or disconnection in intimate life that go unspoken and unattended. For so long, pelvic floor challenges have been seen as private burdens to bear alone, surrounded by stigma or confusion about where to turn for help. But what if we viewed these not as individual problems, but as shared matters that impact the whole relationship? Could better understanding and open conversation actually transform your intimacy and emotional connection? In this episode, you'll discover how pelvic floor health influences pleasure, pain, and intimacy—and why these challenges are best faced together, not solo. Drawing from expert insights and practical guidance, you'll learn how increased awareness and communication can bridge the gap between partners, foster support and compassion, and empower you with tools for healing. Whether you're struggling silently or simply want to deepen trust and connection, this conversation offers actionable steps and hope for anyone ready to turn hidden struggle into shared strength. Since 2007, Dr. Sara Reardon has been caring for people's pelvic floors as a board-certified pelvic floor physical therapist. Attend pelvic floor therapy sessions together when possible for shared education and support. Practice mindful urination and bowel movements—sit fully, breathe, and avoid straining or "power peeing." Incorporate pelvic-friendly exercises such as yoga poses (e.g., child's pose, pigeon, happy baby) to encourage muscle relaxation. Explore self-stimulation privately to discover which types of touch and stimulation are most pleasurable or comfortable. Consider using vaginal trainers or dilators, starting small and gradually increasing size, and involve your partner for support and collaboration. In this episode, Rob Field and Chet Cowart explore the parallels between training for a marathon and investing for the future, emphasizing how each investor's personal goals and circumstances shape their approach. They begin by discussing recent market trends and how growth over the past few years has affected different age groups. The hosts highlight the importance of investment goal-setting, comparing strategies for those nearing retirement to those still building their wealth. Younger investors typically seek maximum growth and are more tolerant of market volatility, viewing downturns as opportunities to buy. In contrast, those closer to retirement prioritize safety and income, often shifting toward bonds and cash to preserve capital and generate steady income. Field and Cowart also tackle topics such as portfolio construction, risk tolerance, and the differing roles of income and Social Security. They note that Social Security is funded by younger workers and question its future viability as workforce demographics shift and more people delay retirement. The conversation includes recent trends, such as a decrease in workers under 25 and factors influencing workforce participation since the pandemic. The episode offers valuable insights into lessons investors often wish they had learned earlier, including the power of savings and compounding, the importance of starting early, managing debt, automating investments, and developing disciplined financial habits. The hosts stress the significance of honest self-assessment, patience, and flexibility—much like training for a marathon. Concluding, Rob and Chet reiterate that successful investing is about time, setting clear goals, and understanding one's risk tolerance. They encourage listeners to approach their financial journey with a long-term perspective, realistic expectations, and sustainable habits.

Evangelical Scholar Says Global Protests After Oct. 7 Exposed Modern Antisemitism as an Organized System - Alan Skorski Reports

Podcast host, Alan Skorski, interviewed Dr. Tim Orr, an Evangelical leader, who earned six Masters Degrees, including a Masters in Islam, while studying at the London School of Islam under the tutelage of a Shia Muslim leader. During the interview Dr. Orr spoke of his visit to London on October 7, 2023, and without knowing all the news that was happening in Israel following the Hamas invasion, witnessed horrific antisemitic demonstrations taking place in the streets of London. At the same time, he was watching news from America from his hotel room, and saw almost identical types of rallies and demonstrations that were amongst the most antisemitic he had ever witnessed. These events led him to speak out in support of Israel, while he was still in London, and scheduled to speak to Muslim audiences as an interfaith leader. He said that his speaking engagements were immediately cancelled, and the Shia leaders who had once engaged him began to curse him and tell him they regret ever befriending him. Following October 7th, Dr. Orr wrote; “What I felt most was that the Church there was very weak. And that weakness carried a cost. That disorientation deepened when I watched American and European universities erupt days later with the same slogans and emotional choreography. It was then I realized I was witnessing the expression of a coherent transnational worldview, not a series of isolated events.” On antisemitism and how support for Israel is weaponized against Jews, Dr. Orr has written; Antisemitism persists not only because it is protected, but because institutions and cultures continue to choose it for its usefulness. It offers a ready explanation for failure, resentment, and moral unease. It allows societies under strain to direct judgment outward while preserving a sense of righteousness. And it does this by rendering Jews abstract enough to blame and unreal enough to disregard. When Israel is a symbol, every Israeli action is interpreted negatively, because symbols are judged by their natures, not by circumstances. When Israel uses force, it is not responding to a threat, but revealing its nature. When it exhibits restraint, it is merely biding time, and accused of cruelty by inaction: there is no space for tragedy, since tragedy exists only when two legitimate claims are in conflict, and Israel is denied legitimacy from the outset. Intent is always presumed, and never examined. Condemnation is not a conclusion, but a premise. “Dr. Orr looks at how antisemitism operates in today's political, media, and activist spaces—not just as hatred, but as a system that adapts and hides in plain sight—and how Islamist movements and narratives play a role in spreading it in the West. He brings a clear, evidence-based perspective to topics that are often misunderstood or deliberately blurred. Tim is the author of six books, including his forthcoming Antisemitism Is More Than Hatred—It's a System: How It Works, Why It Persists, and How It Adapts to Every Age.” He is currently offering an online course titled: Architecture of Antisemitism: Structure. not Just Hatred -VIN News Watch the video interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f6bE6bTKiE Alan Skorski Reports 29JAN2026 - PODCAST

Today, I'm thrilled to welcome Meghan Rabbitt as my guest. Meghan is an award-winning journalist and the author of The New Rules of Women's Health: Your Guide to Thriving at Every Age. She specializes in women's health and wellness, and her work has appeared in several national publications, including Oprah Daily, Prevention, Maria Shriver's Sunday Paper, and others.  Meghan is known for translating and clarifying complex medical and scientific topics into actionable information. In our conversation today, we dive into her new book and explore the process of writing a 700-page guide. We discuss how the old rules of women's health have often failed, and Meghan shares her hope that things will shift. We cover underrecognized midlife issues such as heart disease, the power of knowledge, reframing the aging process, and how the lack of research funding and a paternalistic system contributed to the lack of information on how women's bodies age.  We also examine the influence of social media, navigating the medical system, advocacy, the gut-brain-hormone connection, and the crucial role of fiber, and Meghan emphasizes why every woman's story matters.  Meghan's book is incredibly valuable, as it speaks to women of all ages, from young adults to those in later life. IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN: Why personal context matters when following nutrition advice on social media The value of seeking multiple clinician opinions when facing health choices Improving your communication with clinicians to help them understand your priorities and concerns An essential approach to diet and lifestyle  Underrecognized midlife issues, like heart disease, and why they are often overlooked in women's health How midlife changes in estrogen are linked with alterations in the microbiome and astrobolome Understanding the gut-brain-hormone connection can help clarify your symptoms and guide your lifestyle choices. As parents, we often expect ourselves to be completely calm – and even perfect – no matter what comes our way. Yet, in real life, it's all too easy to get stressed and reactive when parenting gets challenging. Internal and external demands can become overwhelming and knock us off center--and this can raise big feelings such as disappointment, anger, and self-doubt. So what are the secrets to creating the inner peace that lets us (more often than not) respond to parenting and other life demands with wisdom, calm, and grace? Today, I'm joined by parenting expert and MamaZen co-founder, Irin Rubin, who will help us explore this deeply important topic. Topics discussed include maternal depression, post-partum depression, perinatal depression, co-regulation, mindset, flooding, motherhood, parenting, support, hypnotherapy, CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy, mom rage, self-care, self-awareness, mindfulness, baby showers, community, well-being, and mental health. Please note that this episode may contain sensitive material; listener discretion is advised.Emergency Assistance Note: If you or someone you know needs immediate support, please call your emergency services. Many bright kids struggle daily in school, and it's not because of laziness or lack of effort. The real reason your child is struggling in school is often a dysregulated nervous system. I'll show you how Regulation First Parenting™ strategies help kids calm, focus, and thrive.Every parent knows the sinking feeling when homework, tests, or transitions turn your child's school day into a battle. It's tempting to think the problem is effort, attitude, or ability—but the truth is, learning, focus, and motivation depend on regulation. When a child's nervous system is overstimulated or under stimulated, even the brightest students can struggle academically. In this episode, I break down why kids across all ages—from preschoolers to college students—face learning challenges, and how parents can partner with schools and use evidence-based strategies to unlock their child's full potential. Why does my child melt down over schoolwork or transitions? Many children experience sensory or emotional overload, leading to meltdowns, avoidance, or shutdowns. Younger kids often face developmentally inappropriate expectations or tasks that feel too big, which triggers fight, flight, or freeze responses.Recognizing that every child has different learning styles is key, because what feels overwhelming to one child may feel manageable to another. Understanding your child's learning process helps you tailor support and maintain progress in their child's education, whether during the regular school year or even summer school.Tips for parents:Break tasks into manageable steps and offer sensory breaks.Validate your child's feelings: “I see this is overwhelming, let's take a minute.”Incorporate short nervous system resets, like deep breathing, gentle movement, or butterfly tapping.Real-Life ScenarioA preschooler refuses to start writing. Using a 3-minute reset and offering a small, achievable writing goal helps her calm and complete the activity. How can I help my middle or high schooler stay motivated?Middle and high school kids face growing demands on executive functioning—planning, organizing, and emotional regulation—all while managing increased homework, quizzes, and tests.Chronic stress can lead to procrastination, anxiety, or perfectionism, even in academically strong students.Tips for parents:Request a team meeting with teachers, guidance counselors, or case managers.Identify simple classroom supports, like sensory breaks or visual schedules.Encourage small, consistent self-regulation practices daily.

In this episode, we journey to Elizabeth's house, the place of the Visitation. We reflect on Mary's haste as she makes the journey to visit Elizabeth and how Elizabeth creates space for Mary as the mystery of the incarnation unfolds. We also ponder Elizabeth's years of longing for a child, how God fulfills our desires in ways different than we expect, and why we should hold onto hope instead of disappointment. Finally, we talk about cultivating a deeper sensitivity to God's presence, trusting that even when His work is hidden, beauty is unfolding within our lives.   Heather's One Thing - High King of Heaven / Jesus We Love You by Bethel Music Sister Miriam's Half Thing - As part of the Sacred Anchor Marketplace, any Religious Order/ Clergy will have a free storefront with no charges to list or commission fees. Two women meet, and the air is thick with recognition. Promises leap, joy erupts, and prophecy dances between them. This is the place of friendship, of shared waiting, of laughter through tears. Because God often comes to us in the embrace of another who believes.   Journal Questions: In what places of my life can I allow mystery to breathe and unfold? Who can I share the deep places of disappointment with and not feel judged? Where do I feel disappointed? How can I be a nest for others? What promise is leaping within you right now wanting to be recognized? Where do I run when God is doing something new in me? Who is my Elizabeth?   Discussion Questions: When has the Holy Spirit asked you to do something that didn't make sense in the natural world? How can we cultivate a home for others within our own hearts? Where is the Holy Spirit moving in your life and in other's lives? When was the last time you experienced someone speaking prophetically over your life?   Quote to Ponder: "If there ever comes a time when the women of the world come together purely and simply for the benefit of mankind, it will be a force such as the world has never known." (Matthew Arnold)   Scripture for Lectio: "Blessed is she who believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her." (Luke 1:45)   Sponsor - Chews Life: Rosaries for Every Age and Season of Life. Sister Lucia of Fatima once said, "There is no problem, no matter how difficult, that we cannot solve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary."  At Chews Life , that isn't just a beautiful quote, it's the heartbeat of everything they do.  Chews Life is a Catholic-owned small business whose mission is simple but bold: to equip every Catholic, in every age and season of life, with Rosaries for life. Whether you're a new mom juggling family life, a student on the go, or someone rediscovering the beauty of prayer, Chews Life creates practical and beautiful ways to make the Rosary part of your everyday rhythm.   For the Littlest Catholics one of the most beloved parts of the Chews Life mission is their dedication to helping children grow up surrounded by prayer. Their silicone Rosaries  are soft, durable, and made for little hands to safely explore and grow in their love for the Rosary. Parents often say that watching their child hold one feels like watching them reach out to hold Our Lady's hand.  Each design is thoughtfully created to be both faith-filled and family-safe, something little ones can hold, and carry as they begin learning the gentle rhythm of prayer. It's never too early to begin planting those seeds of devotion.   For women, Chews Life offers their signature excuse-proof Rosary bracelet, a gemstone Rosary that is both beautiful and wearable. Designed to help you pray throughout the day, this bracelet is a quiet but powerful companion for busy women who long to stay connected to God in the middle of everyday life.  Whether you're at work, running errands, or caring for your family, these bracelets make it easy to keep prayer close. Each one includes Chews Life's signature "bookmark" crucifix charm, allowing you to pause your Rosary and pick it up right where you left off. Because real life and real prayer go hand-in-hand.  Made with genuine gemstones and durable materials, every bracelet is a tangible reminder that holiness grows in the middle of ordinary moments, and that beauty and faith were always meant to belong together.  For the Men in Your Life: Crux Invicta  That same level of craftsmanship and devotion extends to the men's line, Crux Invicta, Chews Life's brother brand. The name means "The Cross Invincible," and it captures the heart of what this collection stands for: bold, rugged faith rooted in strength and sacrifice.  Crux Invicta features paracord and gemstone Rosary bracelets designed for durability and purpose. Each piece carries the reminder that victory comes through the Cross, offering men a tangible way to live out their faith in the everyday battles of life. And for those looking to go deeper and learn more about the mysteries of the Rosary, Chews Life founder Shannon Wendt invites you on a journey of prayer through her new book, The Way of the Rosary: A Journey with Mary through Scripture, Liturgy, and Life .  This book is a heartfelt invitation to walk with Mary and discover the mysteries of the Rosary as they unfold through Scripture, the rhythm of the Liturgy, and the ordinary moments of daily life. Shannon's reflections reveal how Mary accompanies us in joy and in sorrow, guiding us always closer to her Son From their baby-safe silicone Rosaries, to their gemstone Rosary bracelets, to the Crux Invicta men's line and The Way of the Rosary book, every part of Chews Life's mission is designed to make prayer not just accessible but truly lived.  Because for Chews Life, prayer isn't something you fit in when you can. It's something that fits beautifully into the life you're already living.   You can explore the full collections and learn more at  ChewsLife.com  and CruxInvicta.com .  And as a special thank-you to Abiding Together listeners, use the code ABIDE15 for 15% off your order on either site.     Chapters:  00:00 Chews Life 01:37 Intro 02:30 Welcome to Elizabeth's House 06:02 The Shared Gift of the Visitation 08:15 Having A Safe Place to Allow Mystery to Unfold 10:08 The Holy Spirit Reveals Jesus 12:!5 Sacred Companionship 13:40 When We Carry Disappointments 16:50 Speaking Life Into Other People 18:36 Living Out of Our Insecurities 19:49 Being A Safe Place for Others 22:37 Having Sensitivity to the Presence of God 25:26 One Things   Music used under license i94Cr0
