In this podcast, Francesca Palazuelos talks to us about Mexican hospitality and her passion for food. She describes her early forays into the Food and Beverage side of hospitality while working in Kenya and Brazil. Her passion for food eventually led her back to her native country, Mexico, where she has worked in the industry since 2011. Francesca shares some lively anecdotes about her first internship and gives her advice to young people who are just starting out in the business. With humour and a good dose of humility, she also shares her challenges with learning accounting and cost management and how she turned these challenges into success by authoring a Cost Management book in Spanish. Finally, she shares her ideas hospitality recruitment and trends and how she sees the future of hospitality. Francesca Palazuelos embarked on her hospitality journey with a deep passion for the field, commencing her education at the renowned Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland, where she had the privilege of learning from the best in the industry. Her career has taken her to various corners of the world, including internships at the Grand Hyatt São Paulo in Brazil and the Mexican embassy in Nairobi, Kenya; experiences that instilled in her a profound appreciation for the industry. Over the years, Francesca has been fortunate to work with some of Mexico's well-known restaurant chains, including Grupo Cinbersol, Banquetes Susana Palazuelos, Liverpool (Experiencia Gourmet), and Giornale. In a testament to her dedication and hard work, she found herself entrusted with the role of Director of Operations at the age of 28, overseeing 16 restaurants and a team of 400 employees. One notable achievement in her career was her involvement in the introduction and adaptation of Magnolia Bakery to the Mexican market. Francesca is now a consultant, offering her insights to more than 10 companies, including yacht clubs, vineyards, and boutique hotels in Punta Mita and Zihuatanejo, spanning various concepts such as fine dining, large café chains, sushi, seafood casual, and concept restaurants, among others. Francesca has authored a book titled "Recetas para el Éxito," aimed at providing practical advice on cost management, purchasing, and inventory control for restaurateurs, drawing from her hands-on experience. She remains committed to her passion for the culinary world and strives to make a positive contribution to the industry.

So I have the most exciting idea for the new year! I am going to take you along with me in my real life book club. We read a new book every month about personal development, and in January, we always read the book "The Magic" by Rhonda Byrne. I love this book club so much and people often ask me if I would be willing to take it online. So, I'm going to post a podcast every single day in the month of January to go through this book. I love this book so much because it gets me back into the daily important practice of focusing on gratitude. Every human I know who reads and actually does the daily work in this book has something life altering happen after the 28 days. Last year, I manifested a dream spring break, launched a podcast to amazing reviews and fun, made money out of nowhere, took a fabulous trip to Punta Mita, and grew all my relationships deeper. Plus I felt amazing and even lost a little holiday weight. All without doing anything special except reading and implementing this book. Intriqued yet? The book is broken down into 28 daily practices, and I will drop a podcast every day with a synopsis of the daily practice and how I'm planning to implement. It will be so much fun! You don't even have to buy the book, you can just listen to my podcast and do the work from that. I AM SO EXCITED!! Don't forget to subscribe to the podcast so you have it automatically drop into your phone every morning at 4 am. It will be such a great way to start out the year, don't you think?? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/aceyourlife/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/aceyourlife/support

The Golf Kitchen concept was initially born at a meeting at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton in 2010. With some solid ideas, Diana DeLucia, created her first book and proof of concept titled Golf Club World, Behind the Gates which published in 2013. A similar event quickly followed at Cassique at Kiawah Island Club, South Carolina which was hosted by Executive Chef Doug Blair and once again included a collaboration of an elite group of chefs from Private Golf and Country Clubs from the USA and abroad. Your health and wellness has a big impact on your business and there are a lot of opinions about what being healthy looks like. Social and cultural norms often take precedence, along with quick fixes. The truth is that change and evolution, both in business and in your health and wellness, take time. This week on the podcast, Cate Stillman is sharing her expertise around integrating changes into business, doing hard things, getting uncomfortable so you can evolve, designing your lifestyle, taking care of chronic issues, and so much more. What Cate has to say is controversial for many because it goes against everything the masses believe in our culture. But isn't that an even better reason to have this conversation? It's important to open minds to new ideas and ways of doing things and to truly look at the science behind why we feel the way we feel and do the things we do. I hope you'll tune in with an open mind and think about how you can let go of some of the challenges that might be holding you back. About Cate Stillman: Cate founded Yogahealer in 2001 as an avant-garde dialogue in ancient wisdom for modern humans. The Yogahealer community has depth, span, and breadth. Over 20 years, Cate Stillman has corralled the conversation towards relevance, resilience, rewilding, rewiring & results for modern humans to thrive in their bodies and achieve their life goals. Cate is an evolutionary thought leader, global tribe builder and author in the field of rewilding humans, orienting towards meaning and purpose, and getting deeply invested in life. Cate developed the course curriculums and mentoring community for Body Thrive, Master of You, Living Ayurveda Course and Yoga Health Coaching. Cate splits her time between the mountains in Teton Valley, Wyoming and Punta Mita, Mexico. She is an avid mountain biker, skier and surfer, and mother of 1. We really chatted it up this week discussing RHODubai, RHOA, and RHOBH and even spin off into a bit of Kardashians talk. Are the MVP and LVP of RHODubai Ayan and Stanbury, respectively? Would you have rather gone to Lesa's or Nina's Thanksgiving dinner? What gift would you have liked to have received from Ayan: a goat, onions or hens? After a week off, RHOA picks back up at the dinner table in New York. Marlo calls Kandi out for her shilling. Would you wear vibrating underwear out in public? Would you join Drop it with Drew? We think Drew tends to play two truths and a lie when she tells stories. Where is Tyrone? Why did he block Sheree? Even heading to Punta Mita, RHOBH ladies are still discussing Sutton/Crystal. Is Crystal gas lighting? Does Rinna ever take a day off? Was what Sutton said dark? Is Garcelle a queen that understands her assignment? To continue questions: Is Summer Mary alive? Will Courtney and Mary be at Silver Clouds in SF on Saturday before venturing out to see Countess Lu? (The answer is yes to both of these!) Come judge with us! Mary Payne and Erin talk about Season 12, episode 4 of RHOBH “The Crystal Conundrum." Wow, Crystal has really stirred up some drama by saying that Sutton said something last year that was “dark and damaging and problematic." The women rightfully want to know WHAT Sutton said and we wonder if it will take an entire season for us to find out! Diana still claims she's never been in a store and we call BS on that. We still love Bambi, the world's worst behaved dog and we hope the ladies have fun in Punta Mita! They really need a vacation after being in La Quinta for a vacation. Wow, Crystal has really stirred up some drama by saying that Sutton said something last year that was “dark and damaging and problematic." The women rightfully want to know WHAT Sutton said and we wonder if it will take an entire season for us to find out! Diana still claims she's never been in a store and we call BS on that. We still love Bambi, the world's worst behaved dog and we hope the ladies have fun in Punta Mita! They really need a vacation after being in La Quinta for a vacation. This week we chat about the premiere of RHODubai and RHOBH! We always love starting a new franchise and appreciate when all the women starting on the same playing field (except Stanbury--welcome back!). Ayan seems like a breakout star and Caroline Stanbury shows us her new life with Sergio (like the other women, we have some questions about this hot new relationship). The women get right into it with a Hen Party and a rooftop dinner, setting the scene and alliances. We are here to watch it all go down! Over in RHOBH, we pick up in La Quinta where Crystal still doesn't feel like her feelings have been validated from last year and alleges that Sutton said something DARK (four letters, one vowel, one syllable). Kyle was there and can't remember anything. Garcelle finally understands and assignment and is stirring the pot all over town. Sutton, wearing her dress backwards, wants to avoid this conversation at all costs. Dorit is learning to manage her trauma and Pkkkaayyyyy suggests the ladies head to Punta Mita. Come judge with us! A vegan chef and wellness expert, Leslie is the glowing face of a fresher plant-based movement that refuses to compromise style for sustainability. Hosts Atoya Burleson and Tia Avril are asking the tough questions on the insideLINES Podcast! First, the ladies share details from their action packed weekend! Atoya's sons kicked off high school football playoffs on Friday, only for the game to be called with 1 minute left in the first quarter due to the weather. The game resumed on Sunday, and they went on to clinch a spot in round 2 of playoffs. Tia took flight again this weekend, this time heading to Punta Mita, Mexico to celebrate friend and former NFL defensive end Michael Bennett's birthday. The “Communion” themed weekend brought together a wide range of friends from various industries celebrating each night with themed dinners. Next, it's on to Hot Takes where Atoya and Tia share their thoughts on the Adele One Night Only special which aired on CBS on November 19th. The special included performances by Adele as well as an exclusive interview with Oprah where they discussed her new album, the stories behind the songs, life after divorce, weight loss and raising her son. The ladies also ask the question “How much is too much to share?” while reflecting/comparing how Adele and Taylor Swift share their life story via their music. And finally, the ladies welcome Cheslie Kryst, ExtraTV correspondent and Miss USA 2019. Cheslie, who is also a former civil litigation lawyer, chatted with the ladies about using her Miss USA platform to advocate about race issues during protests of 2020, her experience as a black woman in the pageant world, and why she started her blog, White Collar Glam. Cheslie also discussed her experience being featured in the Netflix documentary “Colin in Black and White” and working on criminal justice reform with the Buried Alive Project during her time practicing law. In the 5th episode of the Untouched series with Alex Boylan we travel to Punta Mita, in the Nayarit province of Mexico. Now, this destination is a little different from our previous episode, as this destination is less visited because of its exclusivity. Here, you can wander down to the famous beach clubs and brush shoulders with some of the world's rich and famous - or stay at the local hostel in the town of Punta de Mita and have a beer at the bar with the locals. If you are looking for the ultimate luxurious experience celebrating something special then Punta Mita is for you. Alex's first brush with the camera began with winning the Amazing Race at 23 years old, and from there, his career has skyrocketed with work both in front of and behind the camera. Alex is above all else, an adventurer and a storyteller. Alex has filmed in almost every state in the US and over 60 countries around the world. He has hosted two number #1 shows on PBS, hosted over 100 segments on the Travel Channel and circumnavigated the world without a cent in his pocket for 'Around the World for Free', this is just to name a few. Alex is a passionate traveller who believes that sustainable travel is our only way forward if we are to ensure that future generations can benefit from the life-affirming experiences which travel can bring.

In this episode I interview Leslie Durso, a vegan chef and wellness expert in Los Angeles. An Italian-American, Leslie has eaten plant-based since the age of eight and you may remember her from her entertainment days when she starred as Leslie the lab girl, on the popular TV show Bill Nye, the science guy that ran from 1993 to 1998. It was during the show that Leslie discovered her love of education and shifted from science to plant-based food. After establishing herself as a private chef for the NYC and Hollywood elite, Leslie began hosting cooking segments on television and online, including her show Accidentally Vegan for the FabFitFunTV membership community. In the inaugural episode, host Carol Ross interviews the remarkable General Manager of the Four Seasons Resort in Punta Mita, Mexico. John O’Sullivan: poet, artist, traveler and management guru reveals his compassionate, and innovative leadership philosophy. Through heartfelt anecdotes and insightful reflection, the witty Irish hotelier offers a profound glimpse into what motivates us as employees and managers. To John, "failure is one step on the way to success." With this in mind, he has established a zero blame culture at his hotel because he believes that providing a safe space for his employees to express their creativity is fundamental to success in any organization. The trust John places in his employees is earnestly reciprocated due to his emphasis on managerial consistency, articulated boundaries, and apolitical communication. All of these concepts are parsed in depth on this episode.
