Graeme MacQueen - The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic ConspiracyAug 8, 2023Ed Oppeman is joined by author, academic and researcher Graeme MacQueen to reflect on the 9/11 and anthrax attacks, why those events still matter today and why there remains such a stigma in many circles when it comes to questioning the official stories of those events. The 2001 anthrax letter attacks in the United States killed five people and wounded dozens. They were widely blamed on extremist Muslims and their backers and used to support the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. They were also used to justify and hasten the passage of the USAPATRIOT Act, which was being presented to Congress just as the firstanthrax victim grew ill.In October 2001, one of the hypotheses that gained ground was that ofthe Double Perpetrator, the claim that al-Qaeda was carrying out the attacks with the support of Iraq. Much evidence was put forth to support this Double Perpetrator hypothesis but independent scientists soon discovered that the anthrax spores came from a domestic lab in the US serving the military and intelligence communities, not from al-Qaeda or Iraq. The FBI then quickly claimed that an individual was responsible for the attacks and began noisily looking for this “lone wolf.” In 2008 the Bureau named Dr. Bruce Ivins of the US Army Medical Institute of Infectious Disease as the “anthrax killer.” Although the FBI remains committed to the Ivins hypothesis, the case has been disintegrating for the last three years. Currently, it is justly held in contempt not merely by scientists who worked with Ivins but by many journalists as well as several US senators .But this raises the question: if Ivins did not commit this crime, who did? This book presents evidence to support the following points:(a) The anthrax attacks were carried out by a group of perpetrators, notby a “lone wolf.” The attacks were, therefore, the result of a conspiracy—by definition a plan by two or more people, made in secret and resultingin an immoral or illegal act.(b) The group that carried out this crime consisted, in whole or in part, ofinsiders deep within the US state apparatus.(c) These insiders were the same people who planned the 9/11 attacks(d) The anthrax attacks were meant to facilitate a seizure of power by theexecutive branch of government through intimidation of Congress andUS civil society. They were also designed to achieve public acquiescenceto and support for the redefinition of US foreign policy, replacing the ColdWar with a new and aggressive global conflict framework, the Global Waron Terror.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

The anthrax letter attacks occurred from September through November of 2001, killing five and wounding many. The attacks were widely held to be the work of Muslims and were used to support the invasion of Afghanistan and, later, the invasion of Iraq. They were used explicitly and repeatedly to justify the passing of the Patriot Act. They were also meant to support withdrawal from the Antiballistic Missile Treaty, a withdrawal eagerly sought by the neoconservatives associated with the Project for a New American Century who wished to pursue their global agenda without obstruction from small states with WMD. In the early days of the attacks there were several perpetrator hypotheses in play. One that gained prominence was the Double Perpetrator hypothesis according to which Iraq had supplied the sophisticated anthrax spores while al-Qaeda had supplied the foot soldiers responsible for preparing and sending the letters. This hypothesis was eagerly reported by the mainstream media. It came to grief quickly when scientists discovered that the anthrax spores had a domestic source and appeared to come from the heart of the US military and intelligence communities. The FBI rapidly began a search for "the anthrax killer," promoting the idea that there was a lone wolf perpetrator within the military community--a renegade, an unbalanced person whose behavior revealed nothing of significance about structures and institutions of the deep state. In 2008 the Bureau named Dr. Bruce Ivins of the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases as the "anthrax killer." Ivins had conveniently died a week before being named and could not fight back in court. Ivins remains the FBI's choice to this day: the case was closed in 2010. This book support with a great deal of evidence the following four assertions: (a) the anthrax letter attacks were carried out by a group of perpetrators, not by a “lone wolf;” (b) the group that perpetrated this crime was composed, in whole or in part, of deep insiders within the U.S. state apparatus; (c) these insiders were connected to the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks; (d) the anthrax attacks were meant to play an important role in the strategy of redefinition through which the Cold War was replaced by a new global conflict framework, the Global War on Terror. The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy6 years ago #2001, #:the, #anthrax, #case, #conspiracy, #deception:, #domestic, #ed, #graemeabout 1 year agoThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/1198501/advertisement

The first American died from anthrax infection on October 5th. During the weeks that followed, letters sent through the US postal system containing anthrax were targeted at US media organizations and sitting US senators. In the end, five people were left dead--two US postal workers, a Florida photojournalist, a New York city hospital worker and a 95 year old widow in Connecticut. Over 22 people were hospitalized from exposure. Many dozens more tested positive for anthrax in the months that followed. It was a one-two punch of guttural horror. Americans were already glued to their television sets, watching 24/7 coverage of planes exploding and iconic skyscrapers crumbling. Over and over, we watched thousands perish. But terrorism was still abstract to those removed from the tragedy. The anthrax attacks changed that, localizing the fear of terrorism to everyone––even your grandma living in the suburbs of Connecticut. Anyone could get a letter. Anyone could be the next target. With the remains of the World Trade Center still smoldering, the Bush administration made several attempts to connect Saddam Hussein to 9/11. The anthrax attacks gave them the perfect opportunity to piggyback ‘weapons of mass destruction’ fears on a very real bioweapons attack. They used willing reporters as instruments to tie nonexistent bentonite from the anthrax letters to Saddam’s nonexistent weapons cache. Journalist stenographers in DC were the conduit for government propaganda, hyping up the threat of terrorism. The anthrax attacks justified the fear-mongering that 9/11 was not simply a one-off incident, and that terrorism was America’s new normal. Not since the Zodiac killer letters had Americans been subjected to such strange visual threats like the block text in short lines that the anthrax letters read: “ARE YOU AFRAID? YOU DIE NEXT.. DEATH TO AMERICA, DEATH TO ISRAEL. ALLAH IS GREAT.” The letters were almost a parody of an islamic terrorist. But who was actually behind the attack? Who had the expertise necessary to secretly manufacture and then distribute weaponized anthrax spores? Who had the motive? In this special episode of Media Roots Radio, after conducting extensive research from public documents, tv news archives, wire stories, first hand interviews and eye witness accounts, myself and Robbie Martin will tell the story of the 2001 anthrax attacks, what preceded them, what happened during the investigation and how this seemingly small event was instrumental in selling the Iraq war, shaping the reality tunnel we live in now. In Part 1 of our investigation, we start with a chronology of the lead up to the attacks and a blow by blow account of how they unfolded. This is the fifth episode in my series on 9/11. These are interviews with those who are speaking out about the 9/11 false flag and cover up. These are scientists and scholars who are showing us that the science supports what we see with our own eyes, that the three World Trade Center Towers collapsed due to controlled demolition.  I have spoken with psychotherapist, Frances Shure, who is writing a series of articles entitled,"Why Do Good People Become Silent or Worse About 9/11?" We talked about the psychological blocks that keep us from information that shakes our world view.I have also spoken with David Ray Griffin about his book, Bush and Cheney: How They Ruined America and the World. He details the lies that we all know were told by the Bush administration in leading the US to a global war on terror and all that has resulted including the shredding of the constitution, killer drones, torture, and the toppling of governments. Griffin shows that this destruction is based on lies and miracles and asserts that until we face the truth of 9/11, we will be powerless to address the destruction the US continues to unleash on the world.Dr. Niels Harrit was also in my 9/11 series to discuss the chemistry and physics of the collapse of the three world trade center skyscrapers. He is retired Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen and first author of Active Thermitic Material Observed in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe published in the Open Chemical Physics Journal in 2009. We discussed the thermite, thermate, and nanothermite discovered in the dust of the world trade center towers, his evaluation of the reports released by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the work of the 9/11 Consensus Panel.Graeme MacQueen is author of the The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy. In this book, he provides evidence that the anthrax attacks and the 9/11 attacks, both of which scared the American people into war, were carried out by the same people – people highly placed in the U.S. government. We will discuss that book as well as two articles he published this year, “9/11: The Pentagon’s B-Movie” and “The ‘Inside Job’ Hypothesis of the 9/11 Attacks: JFK, 9/11 and the American Left.”Today, I speak with David Chandler, the high school physics teacher who made NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, revise their report on the destruction of World Trade Center Building seven, a 47 story building that collapsed in the late afternoon of September 11th, 2001. David Chandler showed that building seven fell at free fall, that is the acceleration of gravity. David Chandler lives in Portland and he spoke with John Shuck in the KBOO studios. His website is www.911speakout.org. Here are the previous interviews: 1) Why Good People Become Silent (Or Worse) About 9/11 2) How Bush and Cheney Ruined America and the World 3) The Science Behind the Collapse of the Three World Trade Center Towers on 9/11 4) Graeme MacQueen | 9/11: The Pentagon’s B Movie

This is my fourth episode in my series on 9/11. Most will dismiss this as a conspiracy theory as the CIA and its obedient media have instructed us. But some will open their minds and face the evidence. Opening minds is what we do on Progressive Spirit. Already in this series, I have spoken with psychotherapist, Frances Shure, who is writing a series of articles entitled, “Why Do Good People Become Silent or Worse About 9/11.” We talked about the psychological blocks that keep us from information that shakes our world view.  I have also spoken with David Ray Griffin, sometimes called the grandfather of the 9/11 truth movement, about his latest book, Bush and Cheney: How They Ruined America and the World. Published in the August 2017, this is professor Griffin’s twelfth and likely last book on 9/11. He details the lies that we all know were told by the Bush administration in leading the US to a global war on terror and all that has resulted including the shredding of the constitution, killer drones, torture, and the toppling of governments. Griffin shows that this destruction is based on lies and miracles and asserts that until we face the truth of 9/11, we will be powerless to address the destruction the US continues to unleash on the world.   Dr. Niels Harrit was also in my 9/11 series to discuss the chemistry and physics of the collapse of the three world trade center skyscrapers.  He is retired Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen and first author of “Active Thermitic Material Observed in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe” published in the Open Chemical Physics Journal in 2009. We discussed the thermite, thermate, and nanothermite discovered in the dust of the world trade center towers, his evaluation of the reports released by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the work of the 9/11 Consensus Panel. An interview forthcoming is with Dr. Leroy Hulsey, Chair of University of Alaska Fairbanks Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, who in early September 2017 released a draft report of the science behind the collapse of World Trade Center Tower 7. In this episode I speak with Graeme MacQueen, author of the The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy. In this book, he provides evidence that the anthrax attacks and the 9/11 attacks, both of which scared the American people into war, were carried out by the same people – people highly placed in the U.S. government. We will discuss that book as well as two articles he published this year, “9/11: The Pentagon’s B-Movie” and “The ‘Inside Job’ Hypothesis of the 9/11 Attacks: JFK, 9/11 and the American Left.” Dr. Graeme MacQueen is the former Director of the Centre for Peace Studies at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He was an organizer of the Toronto Hearings on 9/11, is a member of the Consensus 9/11 Panel, and is a former co-editor of the Journal of 9/11 Studies.

It is now 16 years after the events of September 11th, 2001 that have changed the world. I am in the midst of a series of interviews with 9/11 skeptics and scholars.  These are sober scientists who refuse to be bullied and who present their case with analysis of the evidence. I have spoken already with psychotherapist, Frances Shure, who is writing a series of articles entitled, “Why Do Good People Become Silent or Worse About 9/11.” I have also spoken with David Ray Griffin, sometimes called the grandfather of the 9/11 truth movement, about his latest book, Bush and Cheney: How They Ruined America and the World. Interviews forthcoming are with Graeme MacQueen who exposed the 2001 anthrax hoax in his book, The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy. Dr MacQueen is a retired professor in the Religious Studies Department at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He is a member of the 9/11 Consensus Panel along with Frances Shure and David Ray Griffin.   Also, I will speak with Dr. Leroy Hulsey, Chair of University of Alaska Fairbanks Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, who this week released a draft report of the science behind the collapse of World Trade Center Tower 7.   In this episode, I speak with Dr. Niels Harrit, Associate Professor of Chemistry at the Nano-Science Center, University of Copenhagen; first author of “Active Thermitic Material Observed in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe” published in the Open Chemical Physics Journal in 2009. We discuss the thermite, thermate, and nanothermite discovered in the dust of the world trade center towers, his evaluation of the reports released by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the work of the 9/11 Consensus Panel. Niels Harrit, PhD., was born in 1945. Since 1971, he has been associate professor at University of Copenhagen. He retired from the position in 2009 and is now emeritus. Thus, he has been a researcher and teacher in the Department of Chemistry for more than forty years and has published more than 60 peer-reviewed papers in the best scientific journals. The latest publications are about time-resolved X-ray spectroscopy of ultra-fast photochemical processes and multidimensional fluorescence spectroscopy. Since 2007 he has been actively involved in the global movement for 911-truth, demanding an independent investigation of the terror attacks on September 11th, 2001. He was the leading author of a scientific paper, published in April, 2009, describing the findings of active thermitic material in the dust from the collapses of the three (!) skyscrapers of World Trade Center. He is member of the 911-consensus panel (http://www.consensus911.org/). Over the years, Dr. Harrit has given more than 330 presentations on the collapses of the World Trade Center skyscrapers in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Holland, France, Switzerland, Spain, United Kingdom, Canada, USA, China, Australia, Russia and Iceland.

Graeme MacQueen :The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy FULLThe 2001 anthrax letter attacks in the United States killed five people andwounded dozens. They were widely blamed on extremist Muslims andtheir backers and used to support the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. They were also used to justify and hasten the passage of the USAPATRIOT Act, which was being presented to Congress just as the firstanthrax victim grew ill.In October 2001, one of the hypotheses that gained ground was that ofthe Double Perpetrator, the claim that al-Qaeda was carrying out theattacks with the support of Iraq. Much evidence was put forth to supportthis Double Perpetrator hypothesis but independent scientists soondiscovered that the anthrax spores came from a domestic lab in the USserving the military and intelligence communities, not from al-Qaeda orIraq. The FBI then quickly claimed that an individual was responsible for theattacks and began noisily looking for this “lone wolf.” In 2008 the Bureaunamed Dr. Bruce Ivins of the US Army Medical Institute of InfectiousDisease as the “anthrax killer.” Although the FBI remains committed tothe Ivins hypothesis, the case has been disintegrating for the last threeyears. Currently, it is justly held in contempt not merely by scientists whoworked with Ivins but by many journalists as well as several US senators. But this raises the question: if Ivins did not commit this crime, who did? They were also designed to achieve public acquiescenceto and support for the redefinition of US foreign policy, replacing the ColdWar with a new and aggressive global conflict framework, the Global Waron Terror.buy the book https://amzn.to/45Jk7qUThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/1198501/advertisement

The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic ConspiracyThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/1198501/advertisement

But the question at once arises: if this is what happened, would somebody not have noticed? The answer is that many people did notice. There is a good deal of eyewitness evidence for the demolition of buildings 1 and 2." This week we are joined by Dr. Graeme MacQueen, co-editor of The Journal of 9/11 Studies, for an in-depth discussion on his important new book, The 2001 Anthrax Deception : The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy. Shortly after 9/11, the US was once again gripped by fear as letters containing anthrax were sent through the post to news media offices and two US Senators, killing five and infecting perhaps dozens of others. Initially widely-blamed on Al Qaeda and Iraq, the attacks were used to jusify and accelerate the USA PATRIOT Act. But as evidence grew that the anthrax spores had originated in laboratories embedded in the US military-industrial complex, attention was diverted to looking for the "lone nut"; a quest that ended with a convenient suicide. But what, asks Dr. MacQueen, should we conclude from all the "intelligence" that supposedly pointed towards Al Qaeda and Iraq in the first place? Was it all error? Or was it, as he persuasively argues, a nexus of "faulty" intelligence, "prescient" media reports, "tips", and astonishing "coincidences" that inescapably points towards a group of insiders within the US state appartus itself? And if so, argues Dr. MacQueen, the evidence heavily suggests that this group was also responsible for planning the 9/11 attacks. (For show notes please visit http://themindrenewed.com)
