Graeme MacQueen - The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic ConspiracyAug 8, 2023Ed Oppeman is joined by author, academic and researcher Graeme MacQueen to reflect on the 9/11 and anthrax attacks, why those events still matter today and why there remains such a stigma in many circles when it comes to questioning the official stories of those events. The 2001 anthrax letter attacks in the United States killed five people and wounded dozens. They were widely blamed on extremist Muslims and their backers and used to support the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. They were also used to justify and hasten the passage of the USAPATRIOT Act, which was being presented to Congress just as the firstanthrax victim grew ill.In October 2001, one of the hypotheses that gained ground was that ofthe Double Perpetrator, the claim that al-Qaeda was carrying out the attacks with the support of Iraq. Much evidence was put forth to support this Double Perpetrator hypothesis but independent scientists soon discovered that the anthrax spores came from a domestic lab in the US serving the military and intelligence communities, not from al-Qaeda or Iraq. The FBI then quickly claimed that an individual was responsible for the attacks and began noisily looking for this “lone wolf.” In 2008 the Bureau named Dr. Bruce Ivins of the US Army Medical Institute of Infectious Disease as the “anthrax killer.” Although the FBI remains committed to the Ivins hypothesis, the case has been disintegrating for the last three years. Currently, it is justly held in contempt not merely by scientists who worked with Ivins but by many journalists as well as several US senators .But this raises the question: if Ivins did not commit this crime, who did? This book presents evidence to support the following points:(a) The anthrax attacks were carried out by a group of perpetrators, notby a “lone wolf.” The attacks were, therefore, the result of a conspiracy—by definition a plan by two or more people, made in secret and resultingin an immoral or illegal act.(b) The group that carried out this crime consisted, in whole or in part, ofinsiders deep within the US state apparatus.(c) These insiders were the same people who planned the 9/11 attacks(d) The anthrax attacks were meant to facilitate a seizure of power by theexecutive branch of government through intimidation of Congress andUS civil society. They were also designed to achieve public acquiescenceto and support for the redefinition of US foreign policy, replacing the ColdWar with a new and aggressive global conflict framework, the Global Waron Terror.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

The anthrax letter attacks occurred from September through November of 2001, killing five and wounding many. The attacks were widely held to be the work of Muslims and were used to support the invasion of Afghanistan and, later, the invasion of Iraq. They were used explicitly and repeatedly to justify the passing of the Patriot Act. They were also meant to support withdrawal from the Antiballistic Missile Treaty, a withdrawal eagerly sought by the neoconservatives associated with the Project for a New American Century who wished to pursue their global agenda without obstruction from small states with WMD. In the early days of the attacks there were several perpetrator hypotheses in play. One that gained prominence was the Double Perpetrator hypothesis according to which Iraq had supplied the sophisticated anthrax spores while al-Qaeda had supplied the foot soldiers responsible for preparing and sending the letters. This hypothesis was eagerly reported by the mainstream media. It came to grief quickly when scientists discovered that the anthrax spores had a domestic source and appeared to come from the heart of the US military and intelligence communities. The FBI rapidly began a search for "the anthrax killer," promoting the idea that there was a lone wolf perpetrator within the military community--a renegade, an unbalanced person whose behavior revealed nothing of significance about structures and institutions of the deep state. In 2008 the Bureau named Dr. Bruce Ivins of the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases as the "anthrax killer." Ivins had conveniently died a week before being named and could not fight back in court. Ivins remains the FBI's choice to this day: the case was closed in 2010. This book support with a great deal of evidence the following four assertions: (a) the anthrax letter attacks were carried out by a group of perpetrators, not by a “lone wolf;” (b) the group that perpetrated this crime was composed, in whole or in part, of deep insiders within the U.S. state apparatus; (c) these insiders were connected to the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks; (d) the anthrax attacks were meant to play an important role in the strategy of redefinition through which the Cold War was replaced by a new global conflict framework, the Global War on Terror. The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy6 years ago #2001, #:the, #anthrax, #case, #conspiracy, #deception:, #domestic, #ed, #graemeabout 1 year agoThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/1198501/advertisement

Robbie Martin is joined by Max aka Compostghoul, a researcher and Media Roots collaborator who has been working with Robbie to turn previous Media Roots anthrax investigative podcasts into long form written pieces. They start by giving their opinions about what was good and bad about the new Netflix documentary: Anthrax, In the Shadow of 9/11. Halfway through the podcast Robbie and Max emphasize how the recently unearthed abandoned St Petersburg hoax letters thread alone undermines the entire FBI case about Bruce Ivins, possibly the strongest evidence point at the current moment that proves that the anthrax attacks must have been the work of at least 2 individuals, but probably more. In the last third Robbie throws out darker possibilities for suspects, including the liklihood that whoever conducted the 2001 anthrax attacks had foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks and was planning the anthrax attack before 9/11 actually occured. In this episode of You Can't Make This Up, we are talking about the Netflix documentary film, “The Anthrax Attacks: In the Shadow of 9/11" out now on Netflix. Host Rebecca Lavoie interviews director Dan Krauss. In the days after September 11th, the nation was on edge fearing more attacks. When politicians and media figures began receiving letters filled with deadly anthrax, officials thought foreign terrorists were responsible. But when tests revealed the anthrax was a strain used only by American laboratories, the FBI turned its attention to the scientists who had access to the bacteria...including Dr. Bruce Ivins. SPOILER ALERT! If you haven't watched “The Anthrax Attacks" yet, make sure to add it to your watch-list before listening on.

Bruce Ivins is no snowflake. He's a 62-year-old welder and lifelong farmer who grew up amid the cattle, chickens, and tractors on his family's farm near Centreville on Maryland's Eastern Shore. But then his neighbor built two industrial-sized chicken houses next door, and he filed a complaint with the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) because he could not tolerate the clouds of ammonia, dust, and feathers from the operation's exhaust fans. But MDE took any action against the poultry operation next door. “Where were the people from MDE? … Someone dropped the ball on this,” Ivins complained. He is not alone in being concerned about the lack of enforcement or oversight of the poultry industry by MDE. An investigation by the Environmental Integrity Project (EIP) of more than 5,000 pages of MDE inspection reports shows that 84 percent of Maryland poultry farms inspected by the state between 2017 and 2020 failed water pollution control permit requirements. But only about two percent of the poultry operations – or four total facilities, out of the 153 that failed inspections – were ever penalized by the state for breaking the terms of their pollution control permits.
Robbie Martin returns for another Amerithrax deep dive episode while the 20th Anniversary of the attacks continues. This time the focus is on which parts of the anthrax murders were omitted from the FBI investigation in order to create the appearance that Bruce Ivins was guilty (who committed suicide in 2008 before the FBI could bring charges to him). Most of the epiode focuses on the key omisssions from the DOJ executive Amerithrax summary from 2010 like the AMI building crime scene in Florida, the murder of photo-editor Robert Stevens and the still completely mysterious murder of the only NY anthrax fatality, Bronx hospital worker Kathy Nguyen. These omisssions give the false appearance that a single person using only anthrax laced letters as a murder weapon comitted the crime when the evidence (and FBI statements from 2003) actually show that it was likely conducted by at least two people, using more than just letters to infect and kill their victims. Robbie Martin discusses the long memory-holed 2001 anthrax attacks on the 20th anniversary of the first murder, the death of American Media Inc employee Robert Stevens in Boca Raton, Florida (which took place on October 5th, 2001). 4 more would eventually die from inahalation anthrax after 5 envelopes were sent through the US postal service containing terroristic letters attempting to appear Islamic ( 'ALLAH IS GREAT' ) & high-grade weaponized anthrax spores. But what happened with all of those 'hoax' letters that contained fake anthrax? Who were those sent to? Were all these hoax attacks unrelated to the actual murders? Maybe not, as a batch of 3 'hoax' letters was sent from St. Petersburgl Florida with eerie and confusing similarities to the real anthrax letters sent by the anthrax killer. Listen closely as Robbie breaks down the timeline of why these 'hoax' letters and their implications could potentially turn the entire FBI Amerithrax case against Bruce Ivins upside-down. Just one week after the devastating 9/11 attacks, an act of domestic terrorism further shook the United States. Letters laced with powdered anthrax were sent to various locations throughout the country, leading to five deaths and seventeen hospitalizations. The anthrax attacks disrupted the US postal system, closed down important media and government buildings, and sparked another large-scale terrorism investigation. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss The Anthrax Murders. The large-scale investigation eventually led authorities to a microbiologist who helping them to find the killer. Dr. Bruce Ivins had even been educating FBI agents on Anthrax in the wake of the letters. Ivins had some skeletons in his closet. Graeme MacQueen :The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy FULLThe 2001 anthrax letter attacks in the United States killed five people andwounded dozens. They were widely blamed on extremist Muslims andtheir backers and used to support the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. They were also used to justify and hasten the passage of the USAPATRIOT Act, which was being presented to Congress just as the firstanthrax victim grew ill.In October 2001, one of the hypotheses that gained ground was that ofthe Double Perpetrator, the claim that al-Qaeda was carrying out theattacks with the support of Iraq. Much evidence was put forth to supportthis Double Perpetrator hypothesis but independent scientists soondiscovered that the anthrax spores came from a domestic lab in the USserving the military and intelligence communities, not from al-Qaeda orIraq. The FBI then quickly claimed that an individual was responsible for theattacks and began noisily looking for this “lone wolf.” In 2008 the Bureaunamed Dr. Bruce Ivins of the US Army Medical Institute of InfectiousDisease as the “anthrax killer.” Although the FBI remains committed tothe Ivins hypothesis, the case has been disintegrating for the last threeyears. Currently, it is justly held in contempt not merely by scientists whoworked with Ivins but by many journalists as well as several US senators. But this raises the question: if Ivins did not commit this crime, who did? They were also designed to achieve public acquiescenceto and support for the redefinition of US foreign policy, replacing the ColdWar with a new and aggressive global conflict framework, the Global Waron Terror.buy the book https://amzn.to/45Jk7qUThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/1198501/advertisement
The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic ConspiracyThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/1198501/advertisement

The Mind Renewed : Thinking Christianly in a New World Order
This week we are joined by Dr. Graeme MacQueen, co-editor of The Journal of 9/11 Studies, for an in-depth discussion on his important new book, The 2001 Anthrax Deception : The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy. Shortly after 9/11, the US was once again gripped by fear as letters containing anthrax were sent through the post to news media offices and two US Senators, killing five and infecting perhaps dozens of others. Initially widely-blamed on Al Qaeda and Iraq, the attacks were used to jusify and accelerate the USA PATRIOT Act. But as evidence grew that the anthrax spores had originated in laboratories embedded in the US military-industrial complex, attention was diverted to looking for the "lone nut"; a quest that ended with a convenient suicide. But what, asks Dr. MacQueen, should we conclude from all the "intelligence" that supposedly pointed towards Al Qaeda and Iraq in the first place? Was it all error? Or was it, as he persuasively argues, a nexus of "faulty" intelligence, "prescient" media reports, "tips", and astonishing "coincidences" that inescapably points towards a group of insiders within the US state appartus itself? And if so, argues Dr. MacQueen, the evidence heavily suggests that this group was also responsible for planning the 9/11 attacks. (For show notes please visit http://themindrenewed.com)

Bruce Ivins had the skill, the opportunity, and the motives to single-handedly produce the crisis that the state needed, writes Floy Lilley. This audio Mises Daily is narrated by the author.
Is the answer to this question buried with scientist Bruce Ivins or can we make sense of the wild accusations swirling around him: anthrax scare mastermind? homicidal maniac? or victim of misguided investigators and therapists? Weighing in are: Bioterrorism Experts Jim Poesl and Merwyn Walther, and Forensic Scientist Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky.
