Unbekannte hatten die Nord-Stream-Pipelines 1 und 2 – sie verlaufen in der Ostsee von Russland nach Deutschland – an mehreren Stellen gesprengt, aus den Lecks strömte Gas. Wer steckte dahinter? Das Internet wimmelt vor Spekulationen und Verschwörungstheorien zu dem Fall, Hobbydetektive gaben und geben ungefragt ihre Expertise über wahre Hintermänner und eigentliche Anstifter kund, bei vielen entwickelte sich eine regelrechte Nord-Stream-Obsession, die bis heute anhält. Nun liefert ein Rechercheteam von ZEIT, "Süddeutscher Zeitung" und ARD neue Enthüllungen zu den mysteriösen Anschlägen – sie nähren einen politisch heiklen Verdacht. Die Jacht wurde in einem verdächtigen Zustand zurückgegeben, und auf dem Tisch in der Kabine wurden Spuren von Sprengstoff gefunden. Ein westlicher Geheimdienst soll bereits kurz nach der Zerstörung einen Hinweis auf ein ukrainisches Kommando gegeben haben. Dr. Graeme MacQueen received his Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies from Harvard University and taught in the Religious Studies Department of McMaster University for 30 years.
