CRAFT BEER PODCAST INFO: What started off as a dream to work in Aviation turned into the largest gift to the Metro Detroit craft beer community. Well before the craft beer boom happened in the 2000s, Ashley's job at a local grocer in Royal Oak Michigan showed what you can do with building relationships, gathering new product, and promoting not only local but breweries all across the country and world. Ashley's is so well known that local meadmaker B. Nektar actually made a mead dedicated to his commitment to the industry. What was next for Ashley? Start his own store and bar, with a focus on craft, import, and non-alcoholic products, which is where we are today with his store, Metropolitan Variety in Detroit, Michigan. Ashley breaks down his journey to his own place, the commitment to finding some of the best non-alcoholic products in the industry, and continues to improve his store and bar by creating mock-tails, updating his food menu, and constantly updating the store. This isn't your regular beer store, but one you should check out the next time you're in Detroit! "Behind every great man is another man with his hands on the first man's hips, whispering ideas into his ear." - Sun Tzu Last week Sean and Mike pulled the plug on producer Tessa (literally), and this week they've moved into a luxurious new studio owned by Ashley Price, the businessman and entrepreneur known for making deals in public restrooms. Your favorite hosts celebrate their lifestyle upgrade, and introduce a few new segments like "Croc Talk", which is dedicated to the lifestyle of wearing Crocs. The podcast also debuts a brand new theme song, and the boys are visited by The Crypto Keeper, who comes to welcome Tessa to the underworld as well as complain about a shocking "slap" that took place at the Helly awards down in Digital Hell. All of this and so much more on this week's episode of "We Need to Talk About Crypto"!
Your favorite investment gurus are back in Los Angeles after winning the war in Ukraine, but there's been some big changes around the podcast. Producer Tessa has married a reclusive hentai enthusiast while the boys were away, and they're forced to confront him as their new dad and step-producer. During the conversation, the boys learn about a prophetic vision of the future called "The Teckus Trilogy", which involves shoeboxes, computer parts, and copious amounts of man-on-machine sexual activity. Fortunately for Mike and Sean, the podcast's new owner Ashley Price is there to clean up the mess made by Tessa and her husband - but will this ultimately be what's best for the show? Oh, and the word of the day is "crpto tourism".
Welcome to Part 2 of the boys' trip to Alpha Con! On this riveting episode, your intrepid hosts crawl through sewage, meet an Alpha named Ashley Price, and get fashion advice from Tony “The Fauxhawk” Dungelson. This week's dip is a mystery beverage called “daddy juice”, and the location is a literal toilet.

It was two years ago on Sunday that a 50 year old woman and her 23 year old son were admitted to the Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary with symptoms of Covid. Two years and 691,000 hospitalisations later, and sadly 156,000 deaths, there are 16,000 people currently being treated in hospital. A further 62,000 cases were recorded on Sunday. A lot has been learnt since the beginning of the pandemic about coronavirus, its treatment and the resilience or otherwise of our health services. Today's Simon Jack speaks to Dame Jackie Daniel, Chief Executive of the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Trust and also to Dr Ashley Price, Consultant in infectious diseases who treated the very first patients who were critically ill. It's been a year in the making -- a Detroit variety store with a bar and kitchen attached. The Metropolitan Variety Store in the West Village is now open and I was eager to get down there and talk to co-owner Ashley Price, a veteran of the retail side of the craft beer industry. He and I spoke about the here-and-now while also looking ahead a bit.
Ashley Price is our guest this week. She's always been interested in the historical stories of gods and goddesses from different cultures. Out of that came her polytheistic and nature-based pagan practice. Throughout the episode, she emphasizes how her spirituality builds connections with deities and spirits beyond the human world. Ashley shares the diverse beliefs and practices within paganism and dispels some myths and preconceptions. As a leader of the local group, Prairie Sky ADF Grove, her intention is to make gatherings and rituals as inclusive, family-friendly, and mindful of others’ needs as possible. Consent is an important aspect that allows the group to be a safe space. Using consent makes it easy for people to say “no” to what they don't feel comfortable doing. Hospitality and the exchange of gifting and receiving is also a central theme. She talks about her recent interest in ecstatic dancing and how body motion rituals can help you be more connected with the spirits around you. While on the topic of connecting with spirits, Ashley also talks about what it's like to be an animist. This practice helps her form a sense of place and connect with the natural world around her. Meet Ashley Ashley Price is a restorative exercise specialist working in Urbana, IL with a unique gift for uncovering the habits and restrictions that lead to discomfort in our daily lives. She is a Neo-pagan Druid, animist, and spirit-worker. Ashley is the founder and current Senior Druid of Prairie Sky Grove, the local congregation for Champaign-Urbana. The grove is a part of ADF, a denomination of Paganism based on ancient Indo-European traditions expressed through public worship, study, and fellowship. Through her grove, Ashley is working to create the space for an inclusive and place-based pagan culture to develop. Her spiritual practice is informed by her work as a movement teacher and her obsession with dance. She is also an outdoor enthusiast and has a close friendship with an oak tree near her home. This is nutty. I became an instant mom overnight. It was just me and my dogs and then I met my husband and he had 2 boys. One of them is on the Autism Spectrum. I was working for myself and definitely treating it as a hobby. Well, his job took him out of state on a regular basis. We decided we wanted to homeschool so I went from no kids to 2 kids home full time while my husband was gone 2-4 weeks at a time. I really had to learn to say no to things and give myself some grace for my own sanity. Now, I can homeschool, manage the dogs, the therapies, and two businesses at once because I set some hard boundaries on my time. Inside today's podcast, I have with me Ashley Price. She is a Homemaking and Homeschool Expert who helps Christian moms balance running their home, strengthening their marriage, supporting their kids without sacrificing their sanity and me-time. She's been credited with creating the Christian Mom's Netflix with her signature monthly membership, Prudent Homemaker. Her journey began in 2014 when a missionary knocked on my door and introduced her to Christ. It was a crazy ride to go from, let's call it worldly, to a Christian homemaker. She currently lives in the woods of South Georgia with her husband, two boys, and two black labs (that think they are lap dogs). In this episode, we discuss God's standards vs. the world's standards. Honestly, the boldness of this topic may offend you, but it's always important to share the truth for the sake of love. Ashley has created a special link just for us! Join us this as my guest, Ashley Price, shares her very personal story of being sexually assaulted as a Freshman in college. Growing up in NJ, Ashley always knew she would live in the South. She was raised in a non-Christian home, yet just knew that God had a plan for her to marry a Southern, Christian man. Ashley grew up close to the beach in NJ & wanted to attend a college in the south, but wanted to be close to the beach. So she searched & applied to one college in South Carolina that was close to the beach & she got in! She was so excited to move and start her college days. While she was there for orientation, she met a boy and quickly started falling for him. She would see him often & they would spend evenings and nights talking on the phone. Then things took a quick turn. Ashley had not been feeling good that day, so she stayed in her dorm room with her roommate. The boy she had been talking to wanted to come to visit her, so she said yes. While he was there, Ashley was sexually assaulted by him and then he left. Ashley was left wondering what in the world just happened?? After speaking with a close friend that is a Police Officer, Ashley called campus police to report what happened. This was the start of something huge at her school. Because he was a Football player for a D1 school, this became BIG news fast. After this was made known on campus, other girls started coming forward, over and over again reporting sexual assault by members of the football team. Ashely's action led to the uncovering of a huge coverup of sexual assault incidents on the football team. Things started to get rough for Ashley, being publicly harassed by students, fans of the football team, etc. Because Ashley did not yet know Jesus, she started looking to alcohol for comfort. Ashley shares how she was heading down a really bad path, but God met her at the age of 24 and she gave her life to Jesus! Looking back, she can see God's protection in her life even when she wasn't following Jesus. Even though this was a horrible thing that happened in Ashley's life, the purpose was for good! She continues to share & see the many ways that God is making an impact. Thank you Ashley for sharing your story! Scripture: Ephesians 2:10
