This week show Maine and Miranda recap WNO 27 headlined by Nick Rodriguez vs Kaynan Duarte in a third match and co-main evented by Luke Griffith vs Victor Hugo.In the news section of the show, we discussed the potential rumor, retirement of Gordon, Ryan and John Danaher. We also discuss an upcoming potential coaching based off between Craig Jones and Gordon. In the recap section of the show, we break down the main event discussing the improvements that Nick Rodriguez has made to his game in five years since his first two matches with Kaynan Duarte. We discussed the early takedown from. Kaynan the improved back defense from Rodriguez. This week on the show Maine and Miranda preview Nick Rodriguez vs Victor Hugo for the fourth time this time serving as the main event on the Fight Pass Invitational 10. During the preview we discussed all of the three previous matches that are taken place over the last five years and discuss the style of the match up with Victor's guard versus Rodriguez's passing. We discussed the late leg lock attempts that Rodriguez historically has thrown. We also talk about the changes in the dynamics of the match over the years with a move from longer and longer range passing from Nicky Rod. We talk about how the change of rule set may play into the matchup, resulting in a reliance on scoring points later in the potential for negatives to be awarded throughout the match for things like inactivity. We also give our picks for how we think the fourth iteration of this match will take place and how the result of the Craig Jones invitational may factor into how each camp goes into this matchup for the fourth time.Recorded 2-24-2025

La communauté LGBTQ+ du Royaume-Uni célèbre ce week-end du 11 janvier un anniversaire particulier : il y a 25 ans, l'armée levait son interdiction aux minorités sexuelles. Jusqu'au 12 janvier 2000, les soldats de Sa Majesté n'avaient pas le droit d'être homosexuels, bisexuels ou transgenres – ceux qui étaient « découverts » étaient renvoyés, voire incarcérés. Pourtant, l'homosexualité est légale au Royaume-Uni depuis 1967. 25 ans plus tard, les vétérans ayant connu ces années d'interdiction réclament toujours justice. De notre correspondante à Londres, À 75 ans, Robert Ely vit avec son petit chien blanc dans un logement social de l'ouest londonien. En 1986, après 20 ans comme musicien dans l'armée, la police militaire frappe à sa porte. « C'était un samedi, il était 9h15 du matin, se rappelle le septuagénaire. Ils m'ont dit : “Nous vous soupçonnons d'avoir eu des relations homosexuelles”. On m'a interrogé pendant plusieurs heures, puis on m'a mis à l'isolement dans une chambre du quartier des officiers pendant 3 ou 4 jours. La porte était gardée et je ne pouvais parler à personne. »  Robert est finalement renvoyé, sans peine de prison, mais ne parvient pas à reconstruire sa vie dans le civil. « Les certifications professionnelles que j'avais acquises dans l'armée n'étaient pas reconnues à l'extérieur, déplore-t-il. Je n'avais plus de revenus, j'ai dû vendre ma maison, et mettre mes biens dans un garde-meuble… Mais je ne pouvais plus payer non plus, donc ils ont été saisis. J'ai fini par déménager à Bristol, où j'ai trouvé un emploi sous-qualifié. » Des histoires comme celle de Robert, Craig Jones en a recueilli des dizaines, que cet ancien de la Navy a publiées dans un livre, Fighting with Pride (Combattre avec fierté), devenu depuis une association. « Ils étaient envoyés devant une cour martiale pour être jugés. Les plus chanceux étaient simplement exclus pour conduite déshonorante, dénonce-t-il. On en compte des centaines. Et notez que c'était en pleine guerre froide : c'était donc une loi absurde, une loi d'auto-destruction », rappelle Craig Jones.Le gouvernement a entamé depuis les restitutions des médailles et des grades aux vétérans concernés. Les indemnités, elles, tardent à tomber, regrette Mary, qui accompagne les victimes dans leurs démarches. « Le ministère de la Défense estime n'être responsable que jusqu'au départ des soldats de l'armée. Jesse Starcher, Robert Cooper, Mik Wanamaker and Mark Radulich present their MSlipknot 25th Anniversary Self Titled 2024 Album Review as part of the MHOD Jukebox!Slipknot is an American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, former vocalist Anders Colsefni and bassist Paul Gray. After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on nine members for more than a decade: Crahan, Gray, Joey Jordison, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root.
