This episode of SAP Experts Podcast is a full-circle moment for me. That's because the very first episode I ever hosted, by myself, for SAP Experts Podcast was about gamified approaches being a game changer in business consulting and learning. In that episode, I discussed how SAP uses gamification to collaborate with our customers, while enabling Business Value Identification. And in today's episode, we revisit that topic, but this time we take the leap from theoretical to practical. Today we will talk about how the SAP S/4HANA Virtual Board Game simplifies the solution discovery, as well as the business value identification for our current customers and prospective customers. And not just that, but this gamified approach also provides useful, tangible outcomes to the players. Which is why, today, I am joined by the brains behind this gamified approach, Saurabh Choudhuri. Saurabh has over 13 years of Sales, Presales, Consulting & Agile Coaching experience in the IT industry, across various global firms. Saurabh joined SAP in 2011 as a “Management Intern” and during his tenure, has worked on many key customer facing projects like SAP ByDesign product launch, Ariba Sales and today, Saurabh is part of the SAP S/4HANA Go-To-Market & Solution Management, as the Global Director leading the Gamified SAP Value Discovery Experience track. Saurabh also has an entrepreneurial spirit and has cofounded 2 .COM companies. He has an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and executive management diploma in Leadership & Strategy from Harvard Business School. On a personal note, Saurabh enjoys spending time with his 2 little girls & wife and trying local cuisines while travelling. We are also joined by two returning guests Bill Bowers and Nabeel Siddiqui. Because a radical, innovative approaches like this one require leadership and teamwork to become a reality, which is what Bill, Nabeel and yours truly, provided. As always, my name Akshi Mohla, and you're listening to SAP Experts Podcast.

Host: Alexander Greb - Customer Advisory Lead S/4HANA, SAP Guests: Akshi Mohla Scheffert, Bill Bowers, Steven Spears, Timo Deiner, Victor Hoeck This is a very special episode for me because it is my farewell. I decided to take another step in my personal development, but I remain within the SAP ecosystem because ASUG CEO Geoff Scott was absolutely right, when he told me, learning from my decision to change that the SAP ecosystem is a bit like Eagles Hotel California that stated you can check out anytime, but you can never leave. So I will join a very renowned SAP partner for whom I will be responsible for its global Intelligent ERP, value and innovation consulting business, so in short I will continue helping SAP customers on their journey to become an intelligent enterprise from now on even more directly than ever by putting into practice those principles we have covered on this show. This of course has consequences for the SAP Experts Podcast, and I was immediately asked what going to happen with it the good news is that it will continue under a slightly different setup and I am happy to announce that it will move to the area of SAP in which its further growth and development will find the best possible environment. It will live on in the area of Uwe Grigoleit who is well known to listeners since he has already been a guest twice and it will be taken over by a carefully handpicked all-star team of hosts. Why the all-star team? Because we want to guarantee you a broad bandwidth of different topics that matter for your job and are hosted by people that are highly competent in those topics. So we are going to put it non more shoulders. And I am highly excited that each of them has agreed to become part of the SAP Experts Podcast. So let me introduce them to you on this episode before I hand over the microphone, it is Bill Bowers , Akshi Mola, Steven Spears, Timo Deiner and Victor Hoeck who will bring you fantastic content on any episodes to come. So please welcome this team with me and continue supporting them as you did support me and I would be happy to remain in contact with you so connect with me on my linkedin page, my name is Alexander Greb, and I want to thank you dear listeners believing in this format that put authenticity and expertise always on top, for making this podcast what it became which is SAPs number one podcast and source for thought leadership content and conversations. Life Along The Streetcar

Imagine the amazement of Bill Bowers, UArizona Graduate of 1927, as he discovers a bell headed for the Smelter. The bell was inscribed with USS Arizona. One of the 2 bells salvaged from the actual ship and is soon to be destroyed. Bowers was instrumental in saving the bell and getting back to his alma mater where it has rung since 1951. It's no surprise that the bell was a centerpiece of the present day Student Union Memorial Center. Not just because of the connection to the USS Arizona, but also its connection to the 50 years it has previously been a part of the campus. Frank Farias, retired Executive Director of the UArizona BookStore had a vision to create a new store which would transcend the idea of a campus book store and portray the university as an industry leader in retail. At the same time the University was planning a modern student union to replace the existing building. The two projects worked together and the result is in this amazing structure just east of Old Main. To the west you see the bookstore, to the east the student union. From above you might think you are looking at a ship docked in the harbor. From the ground you are surrounded with elements of design from the historic buildings being replaced, from the regions geology and the culture of the students. Even the process was a revolutionary departure. Up until the Student union, it was common practice to complete the design and send it out to find the lowest bidder. Bob Smith, current VP for University Planning, introduced the design-build model by which designers and contractors work together toward the final project. Construction can actually begin before the complete design is finalized. This method has been proven as more efficient and less costly and, another, innovation from UArizona I had a chance to take a tour of the Student Union and BookStore with Frank Farias and recorded our conversation as we walked. We were joined by 2 members of the project, Chris Kraft a project manager with the university and Joe SottoSanti, the Student Union project operations manager , now retired.
