Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - John 21:1-14 - Jesus revealed Himself again to His disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. He revealed Himself in this way. Together were Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, Zebedee's sons, and two others of his disciples. Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We also will come with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. When it was already dawn, Jesus was standing on the shore; but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, "Children, have you caught anything to eat?" They answered Him, "No." So He said to them, "Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you will find something." So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in because of the number of fish. So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord." When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tucked in his garment, for he was lightly clad, and jumped into the sea. The other disciples came in the boat, for they were not far from shore, only about a hundred yards, dragging the net with the fish. When they climbed out on shore, they saw a charcoal fire with fish on it and bread. Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish you just caught." So Simon Peter went over and dragged the net ashore full of one hundred fifty-three large fish. Even though there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, "Come, have breakfast." And none of the disciples dared to ask Him, "Who are You?" because they realized it was the Lord. Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them, and in like manner the fish. This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to His disciples after being raised from the dead. "Society is lost and confused about God, morality, and eternity," said Bishop Schneider in his new book Flee from Heresy. "Catholics face persecution, from outside and inside the Church, for living their Faith. In his newest book, Bishop Athanasius Schneider — raised among persecuted Catholics in the Soviet Union — offers a systematic treatment of more than 130 doctrinal errors, from ancient times down to our own day, along with English translations of the Church's major anti-heresy documents of the past two centuries. In this fascinating book, readers will discover the ideological roots of our own unsteady times and be better equipped to “test all things; hold fast what is good” (1 Thess. 5:21). Michael Lofton examines Bishop Schneider’s new catechism Credo. He analyzes its section papal heresy and covers the examples provided from Pope Honorius, Pope John XXII and Pope Francis. Michael then asks some probing questions on why Bishop Schneider left certain key information out that he was directly given by Pope Francis.
In part 2 of an exclusive interview, LifeSiteNews co-founder John-Henry Westen sits down with Bishop Schneider in Rome to critically examine all of the questions arising from Archbishop Viganò's recent arguments questioning the papal legitimacy of Pope Francis. While Bishop Schneider admits that there are serious concerns regarding Pope Francis' actions, Bishop Schneider contends that there are more profound reasons that abrogate Archbishop Viganò's arguments. Through Bishop Schneider's articulate analysis, this second segment of our two-part interview sheds light on the crisis of the magisterium of the Church and why all of the faithful is obliged to pray for Pope Francis and accept is papal legitimacy. We check out the good Cardinal's endorsement of Bishop Schneider's catechism.
Pope Francis is still being accused of endorsing the blessing of gay “unions” – as well as accusations of endorsing sacrilege and blasphemy. He is also being accused of attempting to deceive faithful Catholics. Michael Lofton examines these accusations made by Bishop Athanasius Schneider and considers if they are true.
Brace yourself for a profound journey into the heart of the Catholic faith with our distinguished guest, Bishop Athanasius Schneider. Unearth the lesser-known aspects of our religion as we dare to confront the pressing issues of gender ideology, the COVID regime, Freemasonry, and the ambiguities lurking within the Second Vatican Council. Can you imagine a modern-day bishop so courageously addressing the controversial topics that are often skirted around in the official catechism of the Catholic Church? Our conversation takes a necessary detour into the realm of education, examining the concerning infiltration of worldly influences in our schools—both public and Catholic. Engaging the topic of women in higher roles within the church, we shine a light on how liturgy has influenced our acceptance, and discuss the potential pitfalls of introducing women at the altar or pulpit. As we journey through these critical topics, we explore together the impact they have on the divine hierarchical structure of the church. But rest assured, our dialogue is not all doom and gloom. We find reasons to be hopeful amid the current crisis within the Church. Discover the revival of the traditional Latin Mass and the way a new generation of seminarians is embracing tradition. As we consider the possibility of a schism within the Church, we discuss the need for understanding the writings of the Church Fathers and preserving Catholic tradition. The future of the Church is in our hands, and together, we can reorient it back to its time-honored roots using resources such as "Credo: Compendium of the Catholic Faith."https://sophiainstitute.com/product/credo/*******************************************************https://www.avoidingbabylon.comLocals Community: https://avoidingbabylon.locals.comStore: https://avoiding-babylon.sellfy.store/RSS Feed for Podcast Apps: https://feeds.buzzsprout.com/1987412.rssSpiritusTV: https://spiritustv.com/@avoidingbabylonRumble: https://rumble.com/c/c-1626455Odysee: https://odysee.com/@AvoidingBabylonBuzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched! Michael Lofton addresses recent comments made by Bishop Athanasius Schneider on disobeying the pope’s restrictions for the Missal of 62 (erroneously called the Traditional Latin Mass). He points out some concerns with his approach in light of the Catholic magisterium on the authority of the pope over the sacred liturgy.

QUESTION: With 90-year-old Joseph Cardinal Zen on trail this week for defying the Chinese Communist Government, where's the Vatican? Why is pope Francis not speaking out in Zen's defense? In this episode of The Remnant Underground, Michael takes a look at this question, as well as the ramifications of two recent developments: 1) Elon Musk takes control of Twitter and the revival of free speech is underway 2) New York Supreme Court rules that the jab does not stop the spread of Covid Both of these developments come as a threat to the globalists, including Team Francis inside the Vatican, especially where Number 2 is concerned. If Tony Fauci needs to be help responsible for crimes against humanity, certainly so too should Pope Francis. And now the woke pope's alliance with Globalism and the radical Left is throwing the Catholic Church into civil war. In his bid to become chaplain of the New World Order, Francis has alienated powerful members of the hierarchy, including the former head of the Holy Office. Let's review: Archbishop Charles Chaput blasted any priest who would dare give communion to Joe Biden – a “Catholic” who, according to Chaput, is not in communion with the Catholic Church. Cardinal Zen, who is now in prison, for standing up to Communist China -- a government with which Francis has signed a secret deal -- called the Vatican Secretary of State a "betrayer". Bishop Schneider didn't pull any punches where the Vatican is concerned when he appeared in person on Steve Bannon's War Room. Cardinal Muller on EWTN accused Team Francis of engaging in a "hostile takeover of the Catholic Church." Archbishop Vigano, in a recent interview, levelled the Vatican's sellout to Davos. And there're much more. Whether you're Catholic or not, this is big! Pope Francis -- who provided the moral authority for the global lockdown and climate change revolution -- is facing massive pushback from within his own Church, which is why the Vatican Secretary of State said THIS to the top brass at EWTN in Rome last week. Finally, the civil war is on. Which side are you on? Plus! Pope Francis was in Khazakstan last week for a major Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions—although his visit was overshadowed in the press by criticism from a Khazak bishop, Athanasius Schneider, who said the meeting was “dangerous” and could come off as the pope supporting “a supermarket of religions,” “undermin[ing] the uniqueness and absoluteness of Jesus Christ as savior.” Meanwhile, the Khazak government rolled out the red carpet for the pope, who was the first to attend the international congress, although John Paul II and Benedict XVI had been invited in past years. The nation's foreign minister also signed an agreement with his Vatican counterpart to make it easier for Catholic missionaries to enter the country. On “Inside the Vatican” this week, veteran Vatican correspondent Gerard O'Connell and host Colleen Dulle give an update on what happened at the meeting, and why Bishop Schneider disapproved of it. In the second part of the show, the hosts turn to Ukraine, where Pope Francis' almoner, or almsgiver, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, came under fire while delivering aid in a war zone near Zaporizhzhia. He emerged unscathed and was able to bring food, other aid, and rosaries blessed by the pope to the soldiers and civilians there. Colleen and Gerry discuss the aid the Vatican has provided to Ukraine and examine how Pope Francis parsed the morality of delivering arms to Ukraine when speaking with a German journalist over the weekend. How do his comments advocating self-defense square with his past denunciations of the arms trade? Francis commits the Church to the same heresy he endorsed in 2019 that Bishop Schneider publicly rebuked him for, then the media coincidentally slimes Bishop Schneider.
