When leaders talk about workplace design, they often focus on the physical space. But the environments that shape how people think, collaborate, and perform are just as much about processes, expectations, and unspoken norms. If we want every brain to thrive at work, we have to examine the systems that quietly determine who gets supported — and who's left to adapt. My special guest today is Nikki Drader-Mazza, and she's simplifying how to design workspaces where every brain thrives. This conversation challenges how we think about neurodiversity, inclusion, and what it actually takes to build workplaces that work for more people — not just the non-neurodiverse majority. Here's how. My special guest today is Nikki Drader-Mazza and she's simplifying how to design workspaces where every brain thrives. We tackle and simplify all aspects of it, including: What we really mean by neurodiversity and the newer term "neurodistinct" — and why the language we use matters more than we might think. Why "workspace design" isn't just about the physical office, and which parts of the work ecosystem most influence whether every brain can thrive. Why it's critical to examine the assumptions baked into systems designed for the non-neurodistinct population — and the risk of leaving those systems unchallenged. Why stigma around accommodations still exists, and how leaders can begin to dismantle it in meaningful ways. …and ultimately, the first assumption or system leaders and HR teams should take a hard look at when designing workplaces where every brain can thrive. Q: Are you ready to learn how to design a workspace where every brain thrives? If yes, this one is for you. It's time to #DoTheThing! ---- Show notes available with all links mentioned here: https://www.thesimplifiers.com/posts/407-how-to-design-workspaces-where-every-brain-thrives---with-nikki-drader-mazza

Here's some of what we covered today, not necessarily in this order:· Low Density Lipoprotein and High Density Lipoprotein--crucial roles of LDL and HDL. · Cholesterol is not an enemy--unless our levels are out of range. Then we may experience problems.· About 80% of our cholesterol is made in the liver--and the levels are pre-determined by genetics;· Two types of testing to consider: Basic and Advanced Lipid Testing.· We must always interpret lipid levels in light of thyroid status, insulin resistance, inflammation, and a person's genetics. They all go hand in hand.· The two types of treatment that are available: functional (aka integrative) and traditional.· Supplements, medications, and lifestyle changes used in treatment programs.· Optimizing thyroid function can help to normalize lipid levels.· Integrative endocrinologists tend to see knowledge as a continuum. It grows as we learn how lifestyle, environment, and hormones all dance together. Each new discovery helps us better personalize care for patients. · And we learned that we CAN impact our thyroid health! My book, Thyroid Talk: An Integrative Guide to Optimal Thyroid Health, is available on Amazon. Roundhill Investments' Dave Mazza says the "fundamental footing" for markets remains strong, though recent weeks have shown "more fragile" movement. He believes the A.I. shakeup is the leading culprit behind the fragility and makes the point that 2026 will be the year of "winners and losers." Dave notes Alphabet's (GOOGL) outperformance and rising competition against Nvidia (NVDA) as an example. As for sectors he expects to shine, Dave tells investors to watch healthcare.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Subscribe to the Market Minute newsletter - https://schwabnetwork.com/subscribeDownload the iOS app - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/schwab-network/id1460719185Download the Amazon Fire Tv App - https://www.amazon.com/TD-Ameritrade-Network/dp/B07KRD76C7Watch on Sling - https://watch.sling.com/1/asset/191928615bd8d47686f94682aefaa007/watchWatch on Vizio - https://www.vizio.com/en/watchfreeplus-exploreWatch on DistroTV - https://www.distro.tv/live/schwab-network/Follow us on X – / schwabnetwork Follow us on Facebook – / schwabnetwork Follow us on LinkedIn - / schwab-network About Schwab Network - https://schwabnetwork.com/about

“The FOMC is now in a rate cutting cycle.” Dave Mazza argues the interesting part is the difference of opinion within the Fed, with some calling for a bigger cut. He expects a “choppy path forward” for markets but thinks they can still climb. He also argues that the Mag 7 can keep seeing gains and says the intense investments into tech aren't a repeat of the dot-com bubble because they're going to strategic areas. Looking to Tesla (TSLA), he covers recent news around the company and their transition from “simply selling EVs” to a broadening scope.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. Your thyroid test results explained: The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland in your neck that affects many facets of health. When it doesn't function optimally, symptoms can ensue. That's where testing comes in, but the results can be tricky to interpret (and treat if necessary) without a knowledgeable clinician. Dr. Angela Mazza and Mike Haney discuss thyroid function, thyroid hormone and related tests and what they mean, treatment for thyroid conditions, the benefits of an integrative approach to thyroid care, and more.Get a Free Guide to Understanding Your Lab Results: https://levels.link/wnl

Together, we explore how the thyroid gland affects women's health, especially during midlife transitions such as perimenopause and menopause. Dr. Mazza helps us understand the signs and symptoms of thyroid issues, the role of hormones, and the kinds of tests available to identify potential problems. She also explains the difference between hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, how thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) works, and whether thyroid issues can be prevented.
