Grab your pogo sticks and little pedal cars, babies, because Cara Meyers (@carameyers) scares us all the way to Ireland with Leprechaun! Yikes! Also Tanner brings up whether or not baptism is necessary for salvation for a third time on the podcast (and this time Erin DOESN'T edit it out). Luckily, Cara doesn't try to convince us all to leave and Tanner doesn't kill a mouse, otherwise we may have missed a visit from the Leprechaun (Allyson Phillips (@allyson.grace.phillips)), who teaches us a great deal about magic and being a father. Follow Tanner on Letterboxd as tabner and find Matt by searching through who Tanner follows. Or follow the Scary Movie Sleepover letterboxd account! Our editor/producer is Erin Kelly Smith.

A special “Stories, But Shorter” holiday episode! We bring you the classic short “A Visit From St. Nicolas,” more commonly known as “Twas’ The Night Before Christmas” read by 28 people. This poem was first published anonymously in 1823 and later attributed to Clement Clarke Moore in 1837. Supposedly Moore composed this piece on a snowy winter’s day during a shopping trip on a sleigh. This poem is argued to be one of the “best-known verses written by an American.” “A Visit From St. Nicolas” is also widely regarded as the story that gave popularity to the Santa Claus character we know today and had a massive impact on Americans’ tradition of gift-giving. However you celebrate your winter days, we hope it is filled with love and you enjoy this classic tale. Enjoy! Comedian Cara Meyers does not like cheesecake. It's a shock to David/Winston, one of those episodes where they think the guests abuses their present for an ample supply of the "hated" food, but it's true, this is really a cheesecake episode. For a round of Hot Tastes, Winston wants more fast food ice cream sandwiches, David thinks that Miyokos vegan mozzarella deserves charcuterie board consideration, and Cara could do without spicy food. For the tasting, a NY style (from Cheesecake Factory), a homemade Chicago Style, frozen no bake, raw strawberry vegan (from Sage) and a puffy Japanese cheesecake (from Cheesetella) are served up. __ SHOW INFORMATION Facebook Page: @tryitlikeitpod Instagram: @tryitlikeitpod Twitter: @tryitlikeitpod Email: tryitlikeitpod@gmail.com Subscribe: Apple Podcasts Subscribe: Spotify

Through all the craziness Megan & Cara will share their thoughts on ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY EVERYTHING.EPISODE SYNOPSIS: “The girls get ready for a Saturday night out at an engagement party, but are dismayed when they see the invitation - it announces that the couple has "Two souls, one thought." After the party, Charlotte shows up at Trey's apartment wanting to talk. When she includes "sex life" under their list of problems, Trey tries to convince her otherwise. But instead of being convinced by Trey's passionate advances, Charlotte ends up with an unpleasant surprise on her leg. At the coffee shop, the girls discuss the concept of "soulmates." Afterwards, Samantha spies a hot priest outside a church. The next day, she spends her afternoon masturbating to "her priest." Over drinks, the girls discuss masturbation fantasies, and Charlotte admits that recently she masturbates to only one man - Trey. Samantha takes some canned peas to her priest, but is disappointed when he tells her that his life is about "other joys" than sex. Carrie wonders: "Are soulmates a reality, or a torture device?" Samantha decides to throw Carrie a "fabulous lite" 35th birthday get-together at Il Cantinori. When all her friends are late, Carrie is left at a table for ten all alone. At the coffee shop, Carrie admits that while she was sitting alone at the table, she felt sad that she was 35 and had no special man in her life. Charlotte suggests that the girls could be each other's soulmates - and men could just be in their lives for fun. Returning home, Carrie spots Big's car. He's brought her red balloons and champagne. They sit in his car and talk about "soulmates."Thanks for listening! Things get a little R-Rated this week as we talk about Tom Hanks' fourth film, Bachelor Party (1984), with my friends Allyn Pintal (@oh1dear) and Cara Meyers (@caraefingmeyers). This movie is all about a bachelor party — even though it takes forever to get there. With a lot of boobs and talk of sex, this is as raunchy as a Tom Hanks movie gets. Though, we have fun talking about the one-dimensional characters, how Debbie turns into a wet blanket, and ponder how big is Nick the Dick actually. Let me know what you think @youvegothanks. — SHOW INFORMATION Instagram: Instagram Twitter: Twitter Subscribe: Apple Podcasts Subscribe: Spotify

Dumb Nerds: Comedians Talking About Smart Topics They're Too Dumb For
Today we have the lovely and hilarious Cara Meyers on to talk about the not-so-lovely and not-so-funny Dark Web! Cara and Cassi are deeply curious about the Dark Net but have yet to venture on to it. The Dark Web is a surprisingly large place online that people can ensure anonymity. That doesn’t stop them from talking about how to get on it through sites like Freenet, I2P and Tor. They also get into what goes on the Dark Web like buying drugs, illegal pornography, hiring hitmen, anonymously crowdfunding assassinations, acquiring and spending bitcoins, getting malware, gambling and finding out deep, dark secrets. They even talk about one of the infamous Dark Web leaders, Ross Ulbricht, also known as Dread Pirate Roberts, and how he revolutionized the dark web by being a Darknet market operator with his dark web business, “The Silk Road”. He had a net worth of $28.5 million before he was caught by the FBI and is now spending the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole. Is the punishment too harsh? Carrie and Cassi think so. They also get off topic and talk about anarchy and their gripes with money, their deep twisted love for true crime (shout out to Sword and Scale, True Crime Brewery and My Favorite Murder), comedy and why everyone, including the US government, should go to therapy.
