Remember the little murder bears in Return of the Jedi? Well, they got a couple of made for TV movies from back in the 80s. This month we're discussing ALL Star Wars movies, both feature film and TV movies, in a true and final chronological order that is not up for debate. Sorry but we got the final word on this one but we're excited to present to you your new opinions and we got a couple of Ewok movies that fit snugly between “Empire Strikes Back” & “Return of the Jedi”. They're pretty well panned kids movies and the one we're starting off with “CARAVAN OF COURAGE: AN EWOK ADVENTURE” from 1984 definitely takes its critical lumps. But y'know what? That kid is kinda cute running around with Wicket on their little Tolkienesque adventure but that brother of hers, Mace? Oof. What a little shit. They have to save this kid from himself so many times. He gets the heroic feat at the end but are we gonna have to sit through another movie with this character? (More on that tomorrow) Also, those spiders. Yeesh. They cleaned these up and put them on Disney+ so I couldn't pull many good scenes of Mace constantly crying and almost dying. Why is he dressed like an X-Wing pilot? "We will never review a Star Wars movie." This is a statement that we have been saying over and over again during this year's choices. But when we saw that Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure was an option for 1984, the allure of those cuddly creatures was too hard to resist... And so, here we are, reviewing a Star Wars TV movie for kids.Join our Patreon for TWO bonus episodes each month! https://www.patreon.com/oldiebutagoodiepodFollow the show!Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/oldiebutagoodiepod/Facebook: https://fb.me/oldiebutagoodiepodPodcast Platforms: https://linktr.ee/oldiebutagoodiepodGot feedback? Join us in the (sometimes) holiday tradition of the STABcast movie commentary! This year Ben dragged us to the bottom of Disney+ for his formative childhood Star Wars film, "Caravan of Courage, an Ewok Adventure." Listen along with the movie as Will, Ryan, and Ben all struggle to make sense of it.
When a family's spacecraft crashes on the forest moon of planet Endor, teenage son Mace (Eric Walker) and his little sister, Cindel (Aubree Miller), find themselves separated from their parents. Soon these lost children encounter the Ewoks, the small and furry warriors who call the moon home. With the help of these adorable yet fearless natives, brother and sister set out on a quest to rescue their parents from the grip of a vicious monster known as the Gorax. Join the conversation! With Matt deciding to celebrate his birthday in Florida, we kind of had to throw a curve-ball. But have no worries Percolated Media listeners, as the boys are nothing if not prepared. We'll ALWAYS be here to release a new podcast on Fridays. It's just that this week and next, we'll have to go with a series that was actually recorded a couple months ago for situations such as this. After Return of the Jedi, people assumed that George Lucas was done with Star Wars. But it took barely a year for people to know, that he wasn't even close to being done. As sixteen years before he finished and released The Phantom Menace (a movie we're getting to soon), Lucas bonded with ABC and long before Disney Plus series such as Ashoka and The Mandalorian, Lucas did his own in World Series by diving into the far east moon of Endor and exploring Ewok adventures that supposedly took place BEFORE the rebels asked for their help in fighting the Empire. Listen in as the boys review the first of those adventures, Caravan of Courage. They talk about how Lucas came to this idea, why it was made in literally his backyard, and what attention to detail he paid while making this network movie. Hint, it wasn't much. Tune in next week as we finish this mini retro with a review of Ewoks: The Battle For Endor. And then they'll return to schedule and get right back into the Superman series!

The Towani family (Catarine, Jeremitt, Mace and Cindel) are stranded. A caravan of Ewoks is formed to help the children find their parents. This episode is a watch-along. Ee chee wa maa! This one was a doozy. We legitimately tried to use an English-to-Ewok translator to write more of this description, but the language is just as half-assed as the overall film. It somehow spawned a sequel and an animated series - despite it being half D&D one shot and half a poor, pale reflection of Fellowship of the Ring. - Yub Nub! - - Disney and Marvel Games showcase/livestream: https://www.polygon.com/23306547/disney-d23-marvel-games-showcase-date - Official D23 gaming stream details: https://www.marvel.com/articles/games/tune-into-the-disney-and-marvel-games-showcase-on-september-9-streaming-live-from-d23-expo-2022 - Chadwick Boseman and more getting honored as Disney Legends: https://deadline.com/2022/08/disney-legends-d23-expo-chadwick-boseman-1235096322/ - Meet Sirocco, the Horny Kākāpō: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9T1vfsHYiKY - “The Sweetest Thing” walked so “Bridesmaids” could run. In the first of our two-part series on terrible 1980 Star Wars TV movies that happen to take place on the forest moon of Endor, we delve into the cultural oddity that is 1984's Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure — a film that has to be seen to be believed, but should also probably not be seen. But don't worry: We watched it so you don't have to! We also talk to one of the stars of the movie Warwick Davis, who joins us along with his Willow reboot castmates Ruby Cruz, Erin Kellyman, Ellie Bamber, and Joanne Whalley, as well as exec producer Jonathan Kasdan. It's a Lucasfilm fantasy explosion episode… for better or for worse. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Merchandising cash grabs are nothing new to the Star Wars franchise. Who didn't beg their parents for a lightsaber, or a Darth Vader helmet, or a Porg plushy? And one of the most blatant of these marketing ploys was the appearance of the fierce and fuzzy Ewoks who stole the show in Return of the Jedi. So what better way to celebrate their popularity, mine even more profit for George Lucas, and hopefully recover from the disaster that was the Star Wars Holiday Special than to make a TV movie featuring these enigmatic fur balls? Ray teachers Rob about the production history of Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure; who decides what it means to be “canon”; Warwick Davis's early career as a documentarian; Bea Arthur's pivotal role in the Star Wars universe; and why you should add this hidden gem of a direct-to-TV movie to your Disney+ cue as soon as possible. Welcome everybody to another episode of Fine! I'll Watch It. With the newest Star Wars show, Obi-Wan Kenobi, airing we sat down to watch one of the first TV movies, Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure! We talk how each of us feels about Star Wars, both canon and expanded media before breaking down the first post Return of the Jedi new Star Wars. The original trilogy is over, now what? The Force Awakens? Not quite. First we have to sit through the two made for TV Ewok movies. Caravan of Courage kicks off this double feature.
In this episode, the hosts sit down to watch "Caravan of Courage," a made for TV movie about the Ewoks. They discuss some history, their thoughts, and stick around to find out what Jimmy Hoffa, John F. Kennedy & the Ewoks have in common.
Double feature alert! The people love Ewoks, so why not make two TV movies about them and other people you don't care about. Features Star Wars encyclopedia, Ben Deckert.
This one was a tough one...it was the first of 2 made for TV Ewok movies and it took a LOT of alcohol to get through. It plot moves at a snail's pace, the human characters are annoying and hard to cheer for which makes the movie is a chore to watch! Find out more of what we geeky dads thought of this "movie" as we try to "Drink 'til it's good!"

Not many people would say that "Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure" is a bad movie. Nick would disagree. In 1984 the first made-for-TV movie involving Ewoks was released on ABC. Almost 37 years later you are now able to watch it again on Disney+, and let me tell you ... it is worth your time! There is action, there is adventure. Drama, you want drama? It's in there as well. Magic? If you thought there was a lot of magic in Harry Potter, wait until you see this! We break down the whole hour and a half movie and tell you all about it. Once you listen to our review, you will want to run home and put it on. It is that good. We also have first shots of the Star Wars Galactic Cruiser hotel, the Halcyon. We were granted access to it before it even opened. So we will tell you all about that as well. Check it out! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

If you're a Star Wars fan, just watch them. If you're not, then maybe just get a little toasty, make a snack and do something else. Available on Disney Plus/ Disney +

The RRP crew heads back to the Star Wars universe to revisit the movie centered on the alien teddy bears from Return of the Jedi, the Ewoks. Does this courageous caravan still hold up today? Listen and hear what we think.
It's week 2 of our Star Wars month so what better way to erase the memory that was the holiday special with an even more obscure recap with small little furry things that apparently were popular for 5 minutes in the 80s as we look at the 1984 television movie Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure. Can Ben find anything nice to say about this compared to last week? Why are the kids in this movie just so terrible? Why are the ewoks actually really cool? Is the Gorax misunderstood? What is the deal with the random fairies? Why is Mace such a little shit? Who is Chuppa Chup? And why should The Rock have played Mace in this film? Get those lightsabers ready (even though there literally aren't any in this film) and lasers on your hip for our second Star Wars month episode!★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
