Is there a crisis of masculinity in the modern day? How are online influencers having an impact on young men? And how does faith play a part in this phenomenon? Aleem Maqbool speaks with Josiah and Vanessa, a young couple who were both brought up in strict Christian households, about how Jordan Peterson's online content influenced their faith and their relationship with one another. Episode Summary. Christ-followers are chosen to be a blessing to the rest of the world. God's special revelation, the Word of God reveals to us wisdom that is more valuable than gold, truth that is more precious than diamonds. God has gone to great length in Genesis 1 and 2 to show us how he created man and woman to have very different identities, callings, and roles in the family and church family.  He has made us stewards of this great treasure—how male and female are designed to relate to one another. This episode examines this great treasure so that we can better share it with those whose view of gender is fractured. For Further Prayerful Thought. Egalitarians believe that since man and women are equal it is unfair for God to say that men only are to lead their homes and church homes. How does God's description in Genesis 1 and 2 of his creation design of male and female to refute egalitarianism, (let alone the teaching of the New Testament)? What stood out to you about God's design of masculinity? Are there some ways you can use your influence with boys or other men to steer them towards godly manhood? What stood out to you about God's design of femininity? How do you see false worldviews undermining God's glorious design? How can you affirm the godly femininity of the girls and women around you? Resources Used In the PodcastAnchoring Your Child to God's Truth in a Gender-Confused Culture by Gary YagelThe Grand Design: Male and Female He Made Them by Owen Strachan amd Gavin Peacock. For the printed version of this message click here. For a summary of topics addressed by podcast series, click here. For FREE downloadable studies on men's issues click here.To make an online contribution to enable others to hear about the podcast: (Click link and scroll down to bottom left)

The Chelsea FanCast looks back, season by season, to 50 Years of Chelsea history from 1970 to the present day.Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Mark Meehan and Tim Rolls and featuring Kerry Dixon to look back at the 1993-94 season.Tim will shortly be releasing his new book “Sexton for God”, the third book in his trilogy on Chelsea from 1961-1975, following on from “Diamonds, Dynamos and Devils” and “Stamford Bridge is Falling Down”. “Sexton for God” covers the tumultuous, exciting and successful period from Dave Sexton's arrival as Chelsea manager in 1967 to Ron Harris lifting the European Cup Winners' Cup in May 1971. Tim discusses his new book with us, due out in the autumn. Signed hardback copies with a named dedication can be purchased via Tim's Kickstarter page until July 20th.The 1993-94 season heralded a new era and something of a revolution at Chelsea, ignited by the arrival of Glenn Hoddle as player manager. Bringing radical ideas and a complete overhaul on and off the pitch, Hoddle's revolution got off to a slow start in the Premier League. This was followed by a dreadful winter where Chelsea lost 10 out of 13 games, failing to score in 8 of them. The players seemed to be having trouble with Hoddle's 3:5:2 system and found it hard to score and equally hard to keep the ball out of their own net and Chelsea found themselves in relegation trouble, 20th in the league.A dressing room row after the 3-1 loss to fellow strugglers Southampton, appeared to turn things round. A return to 4 at the back and diamond four midfield and the incredible form of Mark Stein who arrived from Stoke City for £1.5m and scored in 7 consecutive games, a Premier League record at the time, saw Chelsea climb back up the table.Of greater note was Chelsea's FA Cup run. After beating Barnet in a replay, Sheffield Wednesday in an epic replay in extra-time, Oxford City away; Chelsea found themselves in a quarter final against Wolves at home. In an electric atmosphere, Gavin Peacock's goal was enough to get through to the semi-final at Wembley against Luton Town and former Chelsea hero Kerry Dixon. Beating Luton 2-0 with a rousing send off to Kerry Dixon who tells us what that was like, Chelsea then faced Man Utd in the final, their first final for 24 years. It was to end in rain drenched disappointment, as Utd cruelly beat Chelsea 4-0 with two penalties, one very harsh. But the Chelsea faithful were buoyed by the fact that Chelsea would be playing European football next season and in spite of a 14th place finish in the League, the potential of what Hoddle was doing to change the club was there for all to see.To help us celebrate 50 Years of Chelsea we've partnered with 3Retro who have a superb collection of Chelsea retro gear and are offering 10% OFF when you use the 3RETRO10 code and if you order over £50 of merch you get FREE UK delivery. When it comes to these topics, Christians need biblical answers. Can you be a gay Christian? Should we use someone’s preferred pronoun? If something is a sin, is it sinful to want to do it even if we don’t act on it? If Jesus was tempted like us, does that mean He had homosexual temptations? In this extensive interview, Costi Hinn asks Dr. Owen Strachan and Gavin Peacock the toughest questions about lust, homosexuality, and transgenderism. Buy Strachan & Peacock’s newest trilogy on these topics here: https://www.10ofthose.com/us/products?q=strachan+ or find all 3 books on Amazon.com 6. Jennifer Kucpcho won the first ever women's tournament to be held on the perfectly manicured greens of the Augusta National. It's been the venue for the prestigious Masters tournament since 1934 and remains one of the most exclusive clubs in the world of sport. Membership is by invitation only and restricted to just 300 at any given time. Even when, then first women member was admitted back in 2012 - the former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in case you were wondering - the thought of them playing a tournament there seemed fanciful in a sport not known for its inclusivity. So Jennifer can truly claim to be a history maker - winner of the first Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship - to give it the full title! She tells Shari Vahl what her achievement means for women's golf and how important momentum is not lost. There are less than 500 days to go until the 2020 Olympic Games and for Mohamed Sbihi, he is aiming to make history. The 31 year old is part of the Great Britain Rowing team who have their sights on a sixth consecutive gold medal. Sbihi himself is an Olympic champion and is the first Muslim to be included in the GB squad. He now holds out hope for others who could follow his example into rowing. We are in Spain for one of the fiercest competitive derbies in the La Liga. Real Betis play Sevilla on Saturday and we take you behind the scenes at Real Betis where you will hear the Chief Executive Jose Miguel Lopez Catalan who joined the club two years ago with no football experience. He has been telling the BBC about how important family and fans are to the football club. The Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes is set to retire at the end of the season and what better way than to bow out playing in the FA Cup final against Manchester City next month.Gomes is seeking FA Cup heaven and in his own words, says, he plans to answer his 'call from Jesus' and become a pastor as well as a football agent. One man who has followed that path is former Chelsea midfielder Gavin Peacock - he's now nestled in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains in Canada and he told Shari Vahl how he made the transition from football to being a pastor himself. The former England Rugby Union international Christian Wade joins us as his dream to the play in the NFL took a step closer this week. Picture - Jennifer Kupcho (Credit - Getty Images)
