Schools are failing our children when boys who make sexual threats remain in class with their victims. A toxic combination of pornography access, weak responses, and "boys will be boys" attitudes is forcing young girls out of education. Quote of the Episode: "When schools allow boys who make sexual threats to remain in class with their victims, they're making a value judgment. They're saying a boy's uninterrupted education matters more than a girl's right to learn without fear." - Justin Coulson Key Points: Sexual harassment via school laptops is happening as early as Grade 7 (age 12) Schools often respond inadequately to sexual threats, prioritising perpetrators' education over victims' safety Easy access to pornography is fuelling inappropriate sexual behaviour among young boys Parents must make noise and demand accountability when their children are victims If your child is a perpetrator, taking responsibility and ensuring consequences is essential Parental monitoring of screen use is the number one protective factor against digital harm The e-Safety Commissioner should be contacted in cases of online harassment Media attention and public pressure can force educational institutions to take appropriate action Both victims and perpetrators need support systems focused on responsibility and empathy Resources Mentioned: E-Safety Commissioner (for reporting online harassment) Happy Families "Know My Name" by Chanel Miller (book about sexual assault) Dan Principe Melinda Tankard Reist Collective Shout Action Steps for Parents: If your child is a victim, make noise—report to school authorities, police, the e-Safety Commissioner, and escalate to education departments if necessary. Monitor and supervise all screen time—know what your children are viewing, typing, and who they're communicating with. Have open conversations with your children about online harassment, showing them real examples and developing response strategies. Teach children to block harassers and not engage, as responses often fuel further harassment. If your child is a perpetrator, hold them accountable rather than minimising their behaviour. There's a saying that goes, “Boys will be boys.” But I think it's time we rephrase that. This is a tough topic, but because there are boys your age who are being taught certain beliefs and behaviors, I think it's important that you learn about this so you can recognize it.. . .To help you, I also shared books that explore this topic in the 10 for Teens + Tweens Ep. 115 show notes on EmpowerfulGirls.com.

Why do so many women still believe a successful life involves being chosen by a man? That's the question being interrogated by high-profile Australian feminist author and podcaster Clementine Ford in her new book I Don't. In it she argues that marital bliss is a tenacious and dangerous myth that needs to be busted, so women can be truly free. Her previous books include Fight Like A Girl, Boys Will Be Boys and How We Love: Notes on a Life.
It's easier than you think. In her book Boys Will Be Boys, Dr. Meg Meeker jokingly describes a fictional encounter between a father and a son. The dad says, “Hey son, I'll see you later, I'm going to a seminar on how to be a better father!” And the son answers,: “Oh, that's easy dad, just hammer some nails with me.” Dr. Meeker's brilliant point is that good and godly parenting is a lot more simple than we think. Although a doctor's advice is sometimes needed, ultimately there's only two voices you need to listen to: God's, and your son's. Dr. Meeker says if you pay close enough attention to your son, you will soon see what he truly needs. Combine that with a prayer for wisdom, and you can parent with confidence. Gina Martin is best known as the driving force behind the Voyeurism Act, which made upskirting, or the taking of pictures under a person's clothing without permission, a criminal offence in England and Wales, after she was assaulted at a music festival. The gender equality activist is now working to teach people how to challenge problematic statements such as ‘boys will be boys' and ‘not all men', and have constructive conversations on social justice issues. Today on Ways to Change the World, Gina Martin tells Krishnan Guru-Murthy about the lessons she has learnt since changing the law on upskirting, the importance of trans voices, the online abuse she has received and why the conversation around masculinity needs to change. ADAM BAPTISTE: is a singer, songwriter, producer, musician, writer, entrepreneur, natural healer whose father is from Trinidad and his mother is from Sweden, and he was just the right age to ride the first waves of hip hop that flooded the streets of Sweden in the 80's. Adam Baptiste, has a diverse educational background, having studied business and entrepreneurship at Stockholm International Trade School, personal training at SAFE Sweden, and life coaching in Dubai. Adam is also a certified Co-Active Coach and is currently studying web development. In addition to his musical pursuits, Adam has also leveraged his skills and knowledge to build an NFT smart contract platform on the Ripple ledger, showcasing his innovative spirit and entrepreneurial drive. As a Swedish rapper Adam Baptiste, aka ADL, aka Absent Minded solo hip hop music career took off when paired with producer Vladi C. Both the Absent Minded project and ADL are considered pioneers of hip-hop and urban music in Sweden, and the 1996 Absent Minded album Extreme Paranoia in Stocktown is considered a classic of the era. Prior to Absent Minded, ADL had already had success as frontman for the band Stonefunkers, one of the earliest urban-style Swedish groups. The band toured Europe while signed to Warner Music Group. ADL left the band in 1996 to become a solo rapper. As Absent Minded, with producer Vladi C, the group released three singles and one full-length album, Extreme Paranoia in Stocktown, through record labels Polydor, Breakin' Bread, and Sonet. The single Alright gained international attention when used in a Hugo Boss ad campaign, and Absent Minded toured through Europe with Fugees in 1996. In 2012 he announced that he was going to quit the music industry partly due to his religion but also because he felt disconnected to it as it had become more and more fake and less and less authentic. However he has continued to make music now and then but on his own terms. He's also been writing lyrics for others. Songs written by Adam Baptiste includes I Like How It Feels, Walking on Air, Crash & Burn, Ready For The Good Life and Boys Will Be Boys. "I Like How It Feels" is a song by Spanish recording artist Enrique Iglesias and "Walking on Air" is a song recorded by American singer Katy Perry and for her fourth studio album, Prism (2013), is included as its fourth track. Welcome back to the Fake Ass Book Club!! This week Kat drags Moni reluctantly into the world of author Tucker Max, and highlights one story from his best selling book "Hilarity Ensues' '. (One of Kat's "most favorite pieces of literature") Kat focuses on one story from the book, called "The (almost banned, now complete) Miss Vermont story", which is just one of a series of short stories in the book about Tucker Max's "drunken debauchery and ridiculous antics." While Kat enjoyed the book, Moni did not share the same enthusiasm. Listen in as hilarity ensues while they agree to disagree !! Cheers!

Stay up to date by following @lifeuncutpodcast or to buy a ticket to the live show click here Today we are jumping into these deep, dark and burning questions: My boyfriend has a group chat with his mates where the single guys share pictures of the girls they're talking to/going on dates with. Fine! But I recently found out that they share any spicier pics that they get sent from these ladies in the chat. I told my boyfriend it was absolutely disgusting and he told me I was overreacting. I'm not sure how to move forward on this. About 3 weeks ago I had the best sex of my life and it was a one night stand. We had a great time, but he was from out of town. When he left, we didn't exchange numbers. I've looked up his name and found his linked in...Should I use it to find his facebook/instagram and message him or leave the fantasy where it is? A couple of weeks ago, I slept with my housemate. We were out with friends and well, one thing led to another. Since then, he has pretended like it never happened. I don't want to date him or anything like that, but I find it a bit weird that he's just never mentioned it. Should I address the huge elephant in the room or just leave it? If you have a question you'd like us to tackle, or a follow up on what's happened since, send it on it @lifeuncutpodcast on instagram!
