God, through the Hoy Spirit, strengthens us to persevere through suffering.
2000 years ago the Hoy Spirit fell at Pentecost and the church was empowered to take the good news of Jesus into all the world. At our ALL IN gathering Dan explains how ALL of us can live in the power of the Holy Spirit now..
The Hoy Spirit is speaking to all of us. But how we do discern that it's God? And how do we share in a way that's healthy?
MIRACLES FOR YOU Sondra Ray & Markus Ray on A Course in Miracles
The HOLY SPIRIT is the UNIVERSAL INSPIRATION. This Inspiration only gives Divine Truth, therefore it corrects all of our "wrong-mindedness." The Christ Consciousness uses this UNIVERSAL INSPIRATION to work the miracles of inner correction. The HOY SPIRIT is the CHRIST MIND. (CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS) Atonement is the gift of the Holy Spirit. Lesson #157 puts us in the Awareness of Christ Consciousness. His Presence is made manifest through applying this Lesson.
Acts 10:1-48Josh runs solo this week as we get into an exciting episode and chapter of our study of Acts this week as we look at two men that God prepared to proclaim and to receive the message of Jesus. We get to read and see the preaching of the message and the Hoy Spirit falling on the Gentiles, and how God prepared Peter for this! Are you seeking Him, allowing the Holy Spirit to teach and prepare you to follow Jesus commands?

Helping ordinary people hold on to the incredible power & presence of God in extraordinary times. Pastor Steve Gambill explains who the Hoy Spirit is, and why he is the Great Sustainer. Scriptures: John 14:26-7, Isaiah 46:4, Isaiah 61:1-4, Psalm 51:10-12
The subject of Pentecost or the Holy Spirit can often be a divisive subject, which is ironic, because one of the functions of the Holy Spirit is to bring unity. On this episode, Pastor Randy tackles some misconceptions, dispels some fears, and gives us permission to ask questions. The message is what he calls "a fly over". You'll find helpful information but it isn't exhaustive. We encourage you to "ask, seek, and knock" (Luke 11:9-13) for yourself. The Holy Spirit desperately wants to have an intimate relationship with you today. Here's five things we'll discuss: The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is not salvation, it is a different experience subsequent to salvation. The Holy Spirit is a gift Jesus commanded the disciples to wait for the Hoy Spirit. The Holy Spirit brings power to be a witness. Arnie and Fred continue their discussion of Human Traditions, Doctrines and Creeds in this second episode of that subject. We note that the apostles were inspired to teach what the Hoy Spirit supplied them in the words they preached and wrote down. Those words were certified and confirmed by the miracles that the Holy Spirit provided in the miraculous gifts the apostles had been given by Him. Contrary to some of the Creeds, Christ is equal as od with the Father. Christ claimed equality with God when questioned by the Jewish leaders of the day. Before coming into the world in the flesh, Christ's substance was identical with that of the Father. The Son radiates, not reflects, God's glory. Christ is said to be both the Great God and our Savior. The false doctrine found in Human Traditions, Doctrines and Creeds results in division and is referred to as heresy or from a heretic in the Bible. Take about 30 minutes to follow along in the discussion. Have your Bible Handy to verify what is being said.
If you look around, you can see darkness coming upon our land. There is no denying it. Just watch the news. It’s depressing. And the church is not immune to what happens in the culture. In fact, the church often follows the culture to its own demise, which is what we are seeing today. We are in the early stages of the great apostasy Jesus warned us about in Matthew 24. But we also have a mighty weapon to confront the darkness. And that weapon is the Holy Spirit. So the most important question we can ask ourselves is this: How can I be filled with the Hoy Spirit? How can I have more of Him in me?But when it comes to the Holy Spirit, many of us are confused and conflicted as to what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Is it a Charismatic thing or is it for everyone? Is it something that comes naturally, or do we have to ask for this filling? And if we have to ask, are there any conditions we must meet first? Again, if there are conditions, what are they?Ah, so many questions and so much confusion.D.L. Moody once spoke about the need to be filled by the Spirit (and he was a pretty non-Charismatic guy. Look at what he said:“I believe firmly, that the moment our hearts are emptied of pride and selfishness and ambition and self-seeking, and everything that is contrary to God’s law, the Holy Ghost will come and fill every corner of our hearts. But if we are full of pride and conceit, and ambition and self-seeking, and pleasure and the world, there is no room for the Spirit of God; and I believe many a man is praying to God to fill him when he is full already with something else. Before we pray that God would fill us, I believe we ought to pray Him to empty us.”I couldn’t agree with him more. But how is someone filled by the Holy Spirit? How to be Filled with the Holy SpiritThe key to living a life of assurance and confidence in Him is learning how to remain filled with the Holy Spirit. And before you can remain filled, you have to be filled in the first place. This is what this message talks about. We talk about some steps you can take to prepare yourself for His filling. They are as follows:First, you must desire to live a life that will please the Lord.Second, be willing to surrender your life totally and irrevocably to our Lord Jesus Christ.Third, confess every known sin that the Holy Spirit calls to your remembrance and experience the cleansing and forgiveness that God promises in 1 John 1:9.Fourth, ask Him, by faith, to fill you with the Holy Spirit. You can pray something like this:Dear Father, I need You.I hunger and thirst for a more vital relationship with You. I admit that I have been in control of my life. And, as a result, I have sinned against You. Thank You for forgiving my sins through Christ’s death on the cross for me. I now confess and turn from my sins and surrender the control of my life to the Lord Jesus. By faith, I invite You to fill me with the Holy Spirit as You commanded me to be filled. You promised to fill me if I ask according to Your will. I pray this in the authority of the name of Jesus Christ. To demonstrate my faith, I now thank You for filling me with Your Holy Spirit and for taking control of my life. Amen. But that’s not the end of it. There is so much more about all this that we cannot do it justice in this simple summary. To find out more, you will need to keep listening. The following is a study on How to Be Filled by the Holy Spirit. To download the slides to this message, click – HERE
Today we are thinking about things said and done in the heat of the moment. God has been showing me recently an important way in which the lives of born-again Christians and the lives of unbelievers are different. You notice that there have been decisive moments in people's lives which have had lasting impact but they were moments of error! But for the Christian those moments are very few or none.1 Samuel 25:2-42. Please read this passage before proceeding with this devotion. In the passage we see that David was enraged by Nabal's words and about to kill him and his men. If he had it is unlikely he would have married Abigail. But God guided Abigail to calm David down. She was intelligent, brave and humble and God had planned that she should marry David. If David had continued in his rage he would have missed God's plan and never married Abigail and had a son with her. She was very intelligent, surely after they married she became a good friend and guide for David. So after listening to Abigail David stopped himself from doing something he would regret. God has a plan for each of our lives but we can drop off that plan by making rash decisions. As I was growing in understanding of this I had my own perfect example. As many of you have heard me say, I work with a local pastor, Shadrach. During this time of churches closed I have been joining a local church from the UK which I know very well via the Zoom app. These Sunday morning times have become precious to me and the worship in-particular is really wonderful. We don't have much deep worship at the local church in Kigumba I normally attend. The ‘network' is very poor where I live so I have been going to my office each Sunday. I asked Shadrach to let me have that time on my own during the meeting and he agreed. The next Sunday I arrived at the office and there was Shadrach sitting in the office, the ‘red mist' descended on me and I shouted at him! Then I angrily jumped back in my car to find somewhere else I could go (I should have just waited for Shadrach to leave!).My rage turned to wrath as I started to scheme how I was going to punish Shadrach because ‘he was in the wrong and I was in the right'. But praise God within a couple of hours I had started to calm down and it was because of God in my life. I knew I was wrong to be thinking like that even though I felt hurt. Without God I would have said something to Shadrach which could have had negative consequences. He could have easily left the ministry we have together to the children even though God has many more things he wants to do through the both of us. Shadrach and I minister together very effectively for God's kingdom. I could have easily messed things up!You often hear how people have acted rashly in the past and, for example, and ‘they don't speak to their brother any more' or a son or daughter leaves home in anger and hasn't contacted their parents for years. People make rash decisions and the effects can be lasting and damaging. Is God speaking to you right now about a relationship you need to restore? Someone you need to contact and apologise? Ask God to help you.‘Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles.'Proverbs 21:23 Times of extreme negative emotion can be opportunities for demons to get a grasp in our lives. Do you need to repent to God for anything you have said or done in anger? In fact, we should repent for anything we have ever said or done that was wrong, it is worthwhile spending some time in prayer letting the Holy Spirit remind you of anytime when you acted wrongly and need to repent. Hallelujah. Jesus said, ‘And when you stand praying, if you have ANYTHING against ANYONE (that includes the past), forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.' Mark 11:25So next time you are feeling really upset; keep your mouth shut, think of God-who He is and what He has done in your life, and that you want to keep in His plans for your life-and don't mess things up!God bless you.Questions1. I recently heard of a man who met his personal angel and the angel had list of the things God had planned for his life. What events in your life which you have experienced have specifically been on God's agenda for your life?2. Share a time when you did or you nearly made a rash decision which had/would have had bad consequences.3. ‘For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.' Ephesians 2:10. Give God some praise and then out loud together or on your own recommit your life to be in God's will and to carry out the ‘good works' He prepared for your life.Prayers· Keep praying for Uganda and that Covid-19 dies away. Pray for those leaders making decisions for Uganda in regard of the virus.· Pray for those from your church who are feeling lonely and down. Pray for those who are ill.· Pray for boldness for believers in Uganda to share the gospel. Pray the Holy Spirit freely moves in this nation saving those in the villages and in Muslim communities who never hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. In these last days the Hoy Spirit is being POURED OUT! Hallelujah! Acts2:17Hugh Pilcher
We're getting to the end of our study on the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. Today we are speaking on the "Fruit of Self-Control". This is a message that is timely to the situation that we find our country in. So much unrest and social issues primarily because people are not exercising Self-Control. However, as we have discovered in all of our study on the Fruit of the Spirit, this requires a "supernatural" work of the Holy Spirit. So a person, striving to exercise these fruit on their own is living a frustrating life of repeated failures. Listen in and be challenged and encouraged to invite the power of the Hoy Spirit into you life and give Him control so that you can begin to experience self-control of the Spirit...

Arnie and Fred discuss what the bible says in Acts Chapter 2. Acts Chapter 2 begins 10 days after Jesus ascended to heaven. Jesus had promised the apostles that they soon would be baptized with the Holy Spirit which would give them power to be His witnesses. He told them to go to Jerusalem to wait where they would be endued with power from on high. They did so and we find basically three sections in the Acts Chapter 2 record. The phenomenon of Holy Spirit baptism is recorded as well as Peter's address and the life among the first believers who the Lord added to His church. Take about 30 minutes to listen in on our discussion. Have your bible available to ensure that what we discuss is what the Bible says.
Staying in our series "Understanding the Holy Spirit" we are talking about the Fruit of the Spirit today, namely the Fruit of Gentleness. What I have found so interesting is that I thought the Fruit of Kindness, Goodness and Gentleness would be the quickest and easiest ones to speak about, in fact I considered lumping them all into one sermon. But I'm so glad that I didn't. If God felt them necessary to list individually, then He must have good reason, and that He did. There is so much meat in these Fruit that I encourage you to listen intently, read the scriptures and ask God to supernaturally grow the fruit of Gentleness, among the others, in your life. As you do, your relationship with God and others will deepen and grow rich...

The Hoy Spirit is the third member of the God Head, who works in and through us to do the will of God
Prayer Champions, God wants us to have unmovable faith and confidence in HIS ability and willingness to provide for us. We are not to be choked by the cares of the world and plagued by anxiety and fear about what we do not have. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank God for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. God’s peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7, TLB
Highlights in Hebrews (with Roger Kirby) Part 4 - Hebrews 2:3Escaping salvation “How shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation?” Already the writer is warning his readers. This is a recurrent feature of this book. The warnings against turning away from faith having once started to follow Jesus are stronger in this book than any other in the New Testament. They cause considerable difficulty for those whose basic theology is strongly Calvinistic. Those people say: once saved always saved, which this book seems to contradict. We have to take scripture as more significant than any systematic theology so we need to heed what the writer says. This first warning comes so early in the book it might be thought hard to justify. It raises the question: why do we come to faith? Many people in our culture, and perhaps yours too, come to faith and start to attend church because something has gone wrong in their lives or they feel a gap in the way they live. Those are not good reasons for starting to believe because they are ‘I’ centred. They come from the needs and the thinking of the individual. The true reasons we should come to faith are because of who Jesus was, and is, his death and resurrection. That is what the writer has emphasised in those first few verses of chapter one. The reality is that most people do not come to faith for that good reason. What is hugely important is that they should then receive teaching that convinces them of the way it actually was. If they know that the Lord had the main guiding hand in what happened, that it was his initiative that brought them to faith in the first place, that the gift of the Hoy Spirit was his doing, then they are unlikely to try to leave faith because it is convenient for them. It may well be that if they are taught to do so they will be able to look back and realise that the Lord had for many years and in a quiet and non-aggressive way been leading them towards faith. Few people take the leap of faith when it is first placed before them. Most need many a nudge and suggestion before they get there. Our God is a gracious and kind God who deals tenderly with his people. As we finish this series on the Holy Spirit, we come to the topic of spiritual gifts. Whenever conversations about the Hoy Spirit arises, this is the topic that seems to come up most often. Unfortunately, there either almost an obsessive focus on this subject, while other churches don’t talk about it at all. This passage, however, is on elf the best places to look, because it shows us what the gifts are actually for. And in so doing, shows us what it means to be the church. Welcome to this week’s episode!
Pastor Rob concludes our series on the person of the Hoy Spirit by describing how He is our prosecuting attorney before we accept Christ, and how He is our defense attorney after we accept Christ. The post Welcome Holy Spirit, Attorney appeared first on Algona Faith.
Where many expect to have conflict, we can discover unity when we seek the Hoy Spirit together.
This world needs Jesus Christ. He is still the answer. We need to be filled with the Hoy Spirit.
The miraculous story of Jesus walking on the water is found in different gospel accounts. Only in Matthew's account, however, do we read that Jesus wasn't the only water walker that stormy night. In Matthew's account, we see how the Hoy Spirit empowered Peter with the faith to obey Christ's call to step out of the boat in a great act of obedience that resulted in worship.
Now, if Jesus knew Lazarus was going to die, why weep? And if He knew He was going to raise Lazarus from the dead, even before He arrives at the grave, why shed tears? Well, He wept because He saw Mary & the others weeping. Their grief tore at His heart. And He shed tears for their sorrow. So, what does all this teach us?

Immediately following his baptism, Jesus was led by the Hoy Spirit not into a big crowd to perform amazing miracles, but to the wilderness, to be by himself, to overcome temptation by the devil. Why would the Spirit do that? How did that time prepare Jesus for what was to come and what can we learn about times in the wilderness in our own lives?
Greetings and Salutations Warriors, Todays broadcast is going to be rather interesting. I've been praying for guidance for a theme to go with this broadcast and yet I have none. However, I feel this is the way God wants it to be today. We have a couple of new voices that will be with us this show and I'm more lead to letting this program take on a path that everyone decides to chat about. So one might say that this is really going to be a gab session. I figure we'll let the Hoy Spirit guide everyone this evening. Who knows whats going to happen, I don't know. Although I do have faith in the Holy Trinity and I'm sure this is going to be a very, very good show. So I pray that you will listen in to this broadcast live or from the archive. And you hear what the title of this program is all about... Until show time, may Jesus walk by your side as he does with me everyday... God Bless you all, Bp. Andrew.
