Sermons – Cary Alliance Church

What does it truly mean to be a praying church? In this message, Pastor Tom concludes our Vision & Values series by exploring Colossians 4:2–4 and showing why prayer is more than a practice—it's the primary work of God's people. Discover what it means to be devoted, watchful, and thankful in prayer, how prayer fuels worship, discipleship, fellowship, outreach, and missions, and why God calls His church to pray together. Learn how a praying church depends on God to open doors, faithfully walks through them, and reflects Christ to the world through a life of continual, corporate prayer.

WELCOME TO SEASON 2 OF YOGA BIZ CAMPI am so excited to kick of the year with Jennifer Pahl from Twist Yoga. Jennifer gives some amazing tips on how to she runs her studio, what KPI's she tracks, how she gets students, how to retain students. Put your headphones on, get your notebook out because this episode is packed with sound advise!About Jennifer Pahl:After many years spent dabbling in every fitness style known to womankind, Twist Yoga founder Jennifer Pahl literally ‘landed' on the yoga mat with an injured shoulder and a body that can be described as anything but flexible. She was certainly not a traditionally "zen" person, but she immediately fell in love with how yoga made her feel.It quickly became clear that yoga was more than just Jennifer's personal passion — it was her calling. She wanted to share the incredible feeling of empowerment and presence she experienced from yoga with as many people as possible. So, she left her corporate career in finance behind to open Twist Yoga -a supportive studio providing yoga, meditation and functional fitness classes to the greater Portland community. Two years later, she launched Twist Your Workplace, providing corporate wellness solutions for American workplaces. Her students loved the in studio classes, but really wanted to be able to practice with the same amazing teachers from home or on the road. In 2018, she launched online classes at Twist Yoga Anytime. When she's not teaching, Jennifer can be found speaking at local events, writing for wellness magazines and blogs, traveling, and spending time with her two kids, husband, and two rescue dogs; Elmer and Dante. She is also a certified Mindbody Business Consultant, a Legacy Ambassador for Lululemon and is part of Mindbody's One Champion network as a Board Member. She served six years on the board of the Lake Oswego Schools Foundation and a proud public school supporter.STUDIO: TWIST YOGALake Oswego, ORwww.twist-yoga.comhttps://www.instagram.com/twistyoga_lakeoswego/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW9U2Qw23KmoTEjoWMiLKBQwww.twistyogaonline.comhttps://www.twist-yoga.com/twist-yoga-anytime-1CORE VALUES: > SHOW RESPECT>  CONNECTION> FUEL HAPPINESS       > BE CURIOUSLY AUTHENTIC> ALWAYS BE THE STUDENT________________________________________________________________VIEW MICHAEL'S FREE YOGA ALLIANCE BUSINESS OF YOGA WEBINARShttp://www.instagram.com/yogabizchamp (click on link in bio, don't forget to follow me and send me a DM saying Hi!)FREE WEBINARS> Finding Your Business Purpose: Mission, Vision Values> Finding Your Ideal Yoga Student > Pricing Your Yoga Offerings ______________________________________________________________  MICHAEL'S YOGA BUSINESS SOFTWARE RECOMMENDATIONS(Some with free trials)________________________________________________________________ BECOME A YOGA BUSINESS CHAMPIONLEARN HOW TO BUILD A STRONG, PROFITABLE & SUSTAINABLE YOGA BUSINESS BOOK A FREE 15 MIN TRIAGE CALL WITH MICHAEL START HERE ———— > https://www.michaeljayonline.com/yoga-business-coaching-consulting.html

L'areal Lipkins is a Goal Coach, speaker, author, and CEO of A Woman With Vision, a training company that helps women achieve their personal and professional goals.  Before starting her own company, L'areal spent nearly a decade training as an executive for the largest sales training company in the world. L'areal joined the firm in 2009 as a marketing intern, and in 2012 she became one of the youngest certified sales trainers across 250 locations worldwide.  It was during this time that L'areal became obsessed with figuring out why some people were successful, while others struggled just to get by. In 2012, L'areal was promoted to Managing Partner and was on track to purchase the local franchise before resigning in 2018. In April 2019, L'areal released her first book, A Woman With Vision. The book took her just 21 days to write, and gives you the secrets she's learned after coaching thousands of people how to accomplish their goals. Born and raised in Dallas, L'areal lives in Houston, TX with her husband and three-year-old son. L'areal graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas with a degree in marketing, and she received her MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. L'areal is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and she volunteers with other non-profits.  In this episode we discuss how she used her vision and values as guardrails to achieving success.
