After a few weeks off, we're back with another podcast from a talented DC local, Tortoise and the Snare founder Wade Hammes: "It's funny to listen to a mix I create now compared to when I started DJing a year ago and seeing how vast my tastes in music have changed in that short timeframe. Looking through my library, I've gone from a crazy love for 80s synthwave to Dirtybird-esque tracks to heavy tech house/techno to the underground deep house and disco (I Records, Sonic Soul Records, UM Records, etc.). It's been a roller coaster of sounds. Recently, I've started to find my groove with the latter and really think it suits me well. They have been crucial in helping me find my sound the past year, along with being great mentors to my DJing. This mix encapsulates my current tastes to a T. 李剑鸿噪音/即兴音乐人。自上世纪90年代末以来，他是第二层皮乐队、D!O!D!O!D!乐队组建者，另参与Mind Fiber、迷走神经（VagusNerve）等组合。他曾是独立厂牌第二层皮唱片（2pi Records）主持，早先“淘米社”艺术团体（Tome club）组建者之一 。自2003年-2007年，每年策划和主持先锋音乐节“第二层皮音乐节(2pi festival)”，这是当时中国最重要的先锋音乐节之一。开创以“家庭暴力”为名的家庭、作坊类系列演出活动。 2011年，和VAVABOND共同创办以推广中国即兴音乐为主的新厂牌C.F.I Records。这些活动要么是早期中国实验音乐、草根当代艺术的重要节点，要么是中国当代声音艺术国际交流过程中重要的推动力量。李剑鸿早先以电视机电磁波、接触式麦克风与效果器调制出强暴的噪音，此后演出以吉他和效果器的即兴为主，风格游走于即兴、噪音、迷幻音乐之间。2008年开始在环境与即兴演奏的相互关系中开拓创作新方向，以环境即兴为名进行系列创作。2011年最新推出的系列唱片《十二境》、《空山》、《在这里》对“环境即兴”这一概念和风格进行了全新和完整的解析和展示。与李剑鸿合作过的艺术家包括：大友良英、Zbigniew Karkowski、成田宗弘(High Rise)、Eyal Maoz、羽野昌二、 丰住芳三郎等等。目前已在PSF、Utech、Archive、Sub Rosa、Post-concrete 、C.F.I和2pi等厂牌推出近30张个人、合作和合集作品，发行国家和地区包括中国、美国、日本、比利时、俄罗斯、法国、秘鲁和香港等。

李剑鸿噪音/即兴音乐人。自上世纪90年代末以来，他是第二层皮乐队、D!O!D!O!D!乐队组建者，另参与Mind Fiber、迷走神经（VagusNerve）等组合。他曾是独立厂牌第二层皮唱片（2pi Records）主持，早先“淘米社”艺术团体（Tome club）组建者之一 。自2003年-2007年，每年策划和主持先锋音乐节“第二层皮音乐节(2pi festival)”，这是当时中国最重要的先锋音乐节之一。开创以“家庭暴力”为名的家庭、作坊类系列演出活动。 2011年，和VAVABOND共同创办以推广中国即兴音乐为主的新厂牌C.F.I Records。这些活动要么是早期中国实验音乐、草根当代艺术的重要节点，要么是中国当代声音艺术国际交流过程中重要的推动力量。李剑鸿早先以电视机电磁波、接触式麦克风与效果器调制出强暴的噪音，此后演出以吉他和效果器的即兴为主，风格游走于即兴、噪音、迷幻音乐之间。2008年开始在环境与即兴演奏的相互关系中开拓创作新方向，以环境即兴为名进行系列创作。2011年最新推出的系列唱片《十二境》、《空山》、《在这里》对“环境即兴”这一概念和风格进行了全新和完整的解析和展示。与李剑鸿合作过的艺术家包括：大友良英、Zbigniew Karkowski、成田宗弘(High Rise)、Eyal Maoz、羽野昌二、 丰住芳三郎等等。目前已在PSF、Utech、Archive、Sub Rosa、Post-concrete 、C.F.I和2pi等厂牌推出近30张个人、合作和合集作品，发行国家和地区包括中国、美国、日本、比利时、俄罗斯、法国、秘鲁和香港等。

SEBASTIAN DAVIDSON hails from the Netherlands where he is gaining notoriety for both his productions and his Dj sets.   Sebastian Davidson has been DJing since 1995 and fervently began to produce his own material in 2006. Tracks as ‘Nightbird’ and ‘Sunday Morning’ have become small classics and are played out by a wide range of top-jocks. He released over 50 tracks on labels such as Night Drive Music, I Records, Loco Records, Kinky Vinyl, Noir Music, Deepology, Kolour and Dark Energy. Davidson is now gearing up to release his first album in 2011 and is working on a fresh mix compilation of Kinky Vinyl Classics for Seamless Records. He is also busy running his own record label Nightbird Music, releasing respected artists from the (deep) house scene.
