Periodically through the years, we've usually entered a season of fasting not because tradition requires it, but because friction of kingdom transition and advancement demands it, and we are in one of those seasons now. This month's fasting aligns with a series of teachings we've been engaging in relating to the principle of paradigm shift, and I have no doubt that what the Spirit is saying is giving us the needed insight and perspective in making those highly required decisions. There is nothing that produces clarity of mind like fasting. It does not replace any dimension of human life; rather, it exposes the flaws, weaknesses, and limitations that block a person from discovering and fulfilling what God has set before them. Fasting is an instrument of transformation, reformation, and realignment. It changes how we perceive and how we engage with the world around us.We live in an unprecedented season. The nature of these days demands a continuous upgrade in spiritual awareness and interaction, especially for anyone who carries a deep sense of divine visionary calling. The forces arrayed against our destinies are not passive. Satanic operations have been unleashed within the space of human life, each designed to create unrest, uncertainty, confusion, fear, doubt, discouragement, and the sense of complete failure. Many who are not discerning and tracking in the spirit have already concluded that the problem is natural. The job is not working. The finances are not aligning. The account does not balance. The workplace is issuing threats. The business seems not to be working the way expected. Social migrational policies have turned hostile. Lives are being threatened and in some cases, taken without justice. Check Habakkuk chapter 1. There is pressure on every side, sending subliminal messages engineered to make you flee, and if you're not spiritually anchored, you will respond to the pressure rather than to the word of the Lord. The scripture instructs us to fix our attention not on the things that are seen but on the things that are unseen, for the things that are seen are temporary, but the things that are unseen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18). Eternal things must become so clear that our motivations and inspiration are not designed by temporary realities. Our decisions must now shift towards an upgraded paradigm anchored in what is not yet known or visible to the eyes. We must refuse to be governed by what we see or will eventually feel.

What does it look like to honor Jesus in marriage, parenting, & work? In Week 4 of Jesus + Nothing, Pastor Rich teaches from Colossians 3:18-4:1, a passage that can feel uncomfortable in our culture. Rather than fast forwarding through difficult Scripture, this message invites us to ask what faithful obedience looks like in the roles God has given us. Rich walks through biblical submission, sacrificial love, parenting with a shepherd's heart, work as unto the Lord, and authority as stewardship under Christ. The message also makes an important pastoral distinction: Scripture is never permission for abuse, manipulation, or cruelty. Send us Fan MailIt started with a simple text to the Thursday Night Gaming Group.“Hey, Free League's Twilight 2000 has a life path character creation system. Anybody interested in playing it?”And I have to say, of all the texts and emails I have sent to the group over the years that one got a lot of attention and the answer was an overwhelming yes.I had played the original Twilight 2000 as a teenager and I liked it. Our group had basically tried to recreate the movie “Red Dawn” with it and it had been fun, but we didn't dive heavily into the post-apocalyptic version of the game. We stayed mostly to the cinematic and war genre so as teen's it was perfect.Put this time I wanted to dive into some of those basic questions I find myself playing around with in roleplaying. “What does it mean to be human?” “What does it mean to be a hero?”“What does sacrifice look like?”So, I grab some ideas and we created characters and in January of 2026 we started playing.Fast Forward 5 months and I think we have played it enough to get a good feel for the game, the mechanics, and the setting. So, on this episode we are going to do a review of Twilight 2000 4th Edition by Free League.Let's start with general overall feelings about the game?Christina what are your overall thoughts?

Allow me to reestablish this point that fasting is not a ritual at PortalsGate. It is a divine order, a deliberate act of calibration that encourages a realignment toward God's prophetic voice, intentions, and counsel. Fasting is like a calibrated compass that guides a ship toward its destination. Having said this, we must differentiate between responding by the feeling of fear, and moving courageously towards the next prophetic emphasis of heaven. We must not allow pride or a sense of failure to keep us bound to a place or location whose season has ended. The need to be guided by the leading of the Spirit is highly important in this period. And this is the context into which we enter this month's fast.
And this is the context into which we enter this month's fast.In Acts chapter 10, beginning at verse 9, Peter went up to the rooftop to pray. He was hungry, and while he waited for food to be prepared below, he fell into a trance. A sheet descended from heaven, filled with every kind of animal, and a voice told him to kill and eat. Peter refused. He told the voice that nothing common or unclean had ever entered his mouth. The voice answered him: what God has declared clean, you must not call common. This exchange happened three times before the sheet was taken back into heaven.
In this week's conversation between Dr. James Emery White and co-host Alexis Drye, they discuss the rise in popularity of a very unusual type of church in the U.S. - psychedelic churches. The largest church of this kind is Zide Door Church of Entheogenic Plants in Oakland, CA, which currently has about 130,000 members and “places psilocybin mushrooms at the center of their religious practice” according to an episode on NPR. Now the drugs aren't free, of course - you have to pay for the service. So is there anything beyond the obvious that is a draw for people to attend a church like this? Episode Links There are two other articles that you may find helpful to read related to today's conversation, particularly tied to the legality of psychedelic churches: Hayley Sanchez, “This church holds psychedelic rituals. But that's not what keeps people coming back,” NPR. Alexandra Tremayne-Pengelly, “Inside the US's psychedelic church boom, where taking drugs is legal,”The Guardian. There are three past podcast episodes that we'd suggest you go back and listen to if you missed them. The first is a recent episode that Alexis mentioned: CCP195: On Dreams and Interpreting Dreams. The second is a look at whether it's okay for a Christian to partake in using drugs and alcohol: CCP74: On Smoking Marijuana and Drinking Wine. And finally, as the conversation touched on hypnosis you can check out this one: CCP3: On Hypnosis and Meditation. Dr. White steered the conversation to the importance of fasting found throughout the Bible, and how this is such a contrast from what the psychedelic churches are pursuing. He did a series at Mecklenburg Community Church that you may be interested in checking out called “Fast Forward,” which you can find HERE. 2026-05-27 | UPDATES #207 | Putin is losing. Every authoritarian decisional principle, every historical precedent, every piece of strategic-studies literature on cornered-dictator behaviour says the same thing. When a dictator perceives that the war he started is unsalvageable on his current trajectory, he escalates. This is why Europe needs to send a clear signal, push back hard and define red lines. A desperate dictator, detached from reality and strategic consequences is dangerous. Now we must contain him, and our response needs to punch back so hard, that he cannot ignore the signal, so that his minions cannot explain it away or hide the truth from him. ----------SUPPORT THE CHANNEL:https://www.buymeacoffee.com/siliconcurtainhttps://www.patreon.com/siliconcurtainhttps://www.gofundme.com/f/scaling-up-campaign-to-fight-authoritarian-disinformation----------ACTIVE CAMPAIGN:We are raising funds for 5 of 15 Vampire DronesSilicon Curtain for Kupiansk Vampires. Carolyn Woodard covers three topics shaping the nonprofit AI conversation right now: the real environmental costs of AI infrastructure, whether the AI market is actually a bubble, and a new survey that gives nonprofits a direct voice in shaping what comes next. This episode helps you move from anxious or skeptical observer to informed, active participant. This episode covers:AI data centers consume enormous energy and water, but the environmental picture is more nuanced than early viral statistics suggested. Cooling accounts for roughly 40% of data center energy use, and about 80% of water consumption comes from electricity generation, making this a grid problem as much as a local one.The AI market is consolidating faster than previous technology cycles. For nonprofits that have been waiting for the dust to settle, the more useful question now is: what is the cost of continuing to wait?82% of nonprofits are already using AI for internal operations, per Fast Forward's 2025 report, but nonprofits using free, off-the-shelf tools are less likely to have policies or risk controls in place. The Fast Forward 2026 AI for Humanity survey interest form is open now. If you are the person at your organization who knows the most about how AI is being used, your participation shapes how funders and policymakers understand what nonprofits actually need.Practical next steps suggestions: develop a policy, identify low-stakes pilots, check in on AI regularly at all-staff meetings, and ask your vendors about their clean energy and water commitments.Resources Mentioned:Fast Forward 2025 AI for Humanity ReportFast Forward 2026 Survey interest form (open now)Data Centers and Water Consumption — EESIData Center Water Use Explainer — MOST Policy InitiativeAbout That AI Bubble — The Atlantic (May 2026)Nonprofit AI podcast new every Tuesday. _______________________________Start a conversation :)Register to attend a webinar in real time, and find all past transcripts at https://communityit.com/webinars/email Carolyn at cwoodard@communityit.comon LinkedIn on reddit/r/nonprofitITmanagementon the Community IT websiteThanks for listening.
Rory Johnston, the “oil quant,” joins us to explain why the Hormuz crisis could become the biggest oil shock in history. Oil markets are already screaming. Supply is trapped, inventories are being drained, and the market may still be underpricing the scale of the disruption. If the Strait stays closed, Rory says the path to $200 oil is no longer crazy. It may be the next stop. This is oil, geopolitics, inflation, and markets all colliding at once. ------

Good Morning Angels, Happy Monday. A brand new week is upon us, and the celebrity world has absolutely not been resting. I'm Age London and I've been up since that crackad on collecting every single drop a tea for you. You're welcome, babes. Today. Meghana Stallion has put Clay Thompson on full blast and everybody on her side. Book Talk has officially been given its own bestseller chart, and I have thoughts all good ones. Helena Bonham Carter has exited White Lotus before filming even properly got started. And there's a new film coming out next month that I didn't know existed until today, and now it's all I can think about. So let's spore some tea. First Up Rapper and Broadway Start. Meghan Stallion is dumped NBA player Clay Thompson after less than a year of dating, and she did not go quietly. She posted to her Instagram stories cheating. You had me around your whole family playing house, got cold feet, holding you down through all your horrible moods, wings and treatment towards me during your basketball season. Now you don't know if you can be monogamous, followed by like five question marks. Then came the formal statement. She said, I've made the decision to end my relationship with Clay. Trust, fidelity and respect a non negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there's no real path forward. I personally preferred the Instagram run, but I respect her being classy about it. Now, let's put this in context. Two months ago, Meghan was publicly manifesting her own engagement. She'd met his whole family. The man named his boat after her, the ss Stallion that apparently could manage to be faithful Clay buddy, the ss Stallion deserved better, inserted Meghan next time. This one is for the readers, but not like literary fiction readers, the real ones like me, who spend more time than they care to imagine reading about other people. Bonking book Talk has officially been given its own UK bestseller chart. The new list is compiled by a media controller Nielsen IQ Book Data, the same people behind the Sunday Times bestseller list, so you know it's legit. It combines UK sales data with analyzes of the BookTok hashtag with over seventy seven million posts under the tag book It's about time they put some respect on Booktok's name. The inorderal Top twenty is entirely made up of female authors, as it should be. Irish writer Chloe Walsh appears the most. All six books in her Boys of Tom and series have made the list, which follows a group of teenagers navigating love, friendship and trauma at a private school. Romandes. He dominates, with Sarah g Mass and Rebecca Garris, both featuring heavily on top of the list. Heated rivalry of course, stick Around. We've got the Nick Jonas film that I did know existed and are now having an existential crisis over Helena Bottom. Carter has exited the White Lotus and the Sires family at a stagecoach moment that signals a full reconciliation. Welcome back to Morning Tea. Now over the weekend and you trailer dropped for a movie I didn't know all about until now, and I can't believe it. I'm beside myself with anticipation for May twenty nine. The film is called Power Ballad and it stars Paul Rudd and Nick freaking Jonas so Rad plays a wedding spinger past his prime. Nick plays a washed up boy band member. They have a late night jam by coincidence, and Paul Wright's character plays him a song he's been working on. Fast Forward. The pop star releases the song, reigniting his career. But this is when it gets complicated. You don't recognize it, should I of course yes you should. If that's my chorus and verse. I wrote at that time, when Wow, Danny Wilson, you were great up there, come with me. I could tell with any two minutes of any you you are ninely some boy band guy, and you are too good for that wedding band to him with this one for years. So every Signverrold in my life, it's about you. Sockered. The film is directed by the same guy who made Once, which if you haven't seen, please stop what you're doing and watch immediately, and he's already receiving rave reviews. Paul Right and Nick Jonas in a music film about songwriting, friendship and betrayal, put it in my veins. Helena Bottom Carter announced it as part of the White Load of season forecast back in January. Has exited the show and the timing is extraordinary. HBO released his statement seeing the character did not align once on set, and that the role has subsequently been rethought, is being rewritten, and will be being recast in coming weeks. So what we understand is that she got to Saint Trepe, unpacked her bags, got a couple of days into filming, and then it became clear to both parties it wasn't working. Reports suggests the role was central to the season story, which is why the decision was made to rewrite it entirely. I want to know if she got paid for a couple of days or she just got a free holiday at Center Pay, which I said wouldn't be bad about. The season is set during the Cannes Film Festival on the French Riviera, filming in Center Pey, Monaco and Paris. And finally, Noah Cyrus made her stagecoach debut on Friday over in the States and saved the best of last. After a studying set, she brought out her brother Brazen and then her dad, Billy Ray to perform their new song on Our Way Along a song tonight. Thank you so much for coming to see my first ever stage church. I'd like to talk about my brother Brazen and welcome my dad. Billy Ray's single written I produced by my brother Brazen, Hold on our way Along. You're right now. If you don't know anything about the Syrus family, there was some estrangement after Tish and Billy raised Aborce Scott Murkhy. Since then, Miley and Billy Ray have made up and now it's lovely to see they all seem to be on better terms, proof that once again, all faunilies are complicated, even when you're all famous. And now, my darlings, is it for today's morning tea. But thank you for spending a couple of minutes of your public holiday Monday with me. Hope you have a wonderful day with friends and family. Recorded LIVE! on the Harbor Terrace at the ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego, Mike Palmer is joined by Dr. Steven Taylor, Policy Director and Senior Fellow for Economic Mobility at Stand Together Trust. Steve brings a unique perspective to the table, combining a national philanthropic lens with his roles on the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia and the National Advisory Committee for Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI). The conversation captures the shifting energy of the summit, moving away from the peak of AI hype toward what Steve calls "optimistic skepticism" - a more mature look at how technology can practically transform learning while remaining grounded in the reality of its current limitations. The discussion explores the potential of AI to revolutionize the K-12 experience, using examples like Austin's Alpha School to show how personalized learning can compress the school day, allowing students more time to pursue their passions. Steve and Mike tackle the difficult questions of equity and the "risk capital" required to bring high-cost innovations to scale. Then we pivot to the higher education landscape, where Steve emphasizes the need to dignify non-degree pathways. He shares insights from Virginia's FastForward program, a pay-for-performance model that has successfully moved residents into high-demand fields through short-term credentials, proving that ROI isn't just a metric for four-year degrees. As the conversation turns to the future of work, Steve expresses concern over the potential displacement of entry-level roles—the "desk jockey" jobs that traditionally provide young people with essential social capital and early career experience. He argues that our labor laws are antiquated and must evolve to support a more flexible, AI-driven workforce that favors 1099 and gig-based contributions. From the necessity of correcting AI's erroneous outputs to the complexities of AI-driven hiring and the debate over universal basic income, this episode offers a comprehensive look at the policy and philanthropic shifts needed to ensure everyone can contribute to a changing economy. Fryns is 's lands oudste start up, in hun eigen woorden. In this short episode of Fast Forward, Andrea Hotter speaks with Jon Stibbs, managing editor for technology and energy metals at Fastmarkets, to unpack why a handful of highly specialised materials are becoming increasingly critical to modern defense capability. From jet engines and secure communications to night‑vision systems and ammunition, the discussion explores how these inputs enable advanced military technologies, and why their concentrated, geopolitically sensitive supply chains are raising concerns for Western defense planning. With export controls, policy intervention and long development timelines shaping availability, the conversation examines how governments and industry are responding to growing supply‑chain risk. Tune in for a deep dive into defense‑critical materials, geopolitical leverage and the industrial vulnerabilities emerging at the heart of global security. Adrian and Al lose their minds as they veer off the beaten path in their mutual admiration for Dan Aykroyd's singular and eccentric comedy Nothing But Trouble (1991). While the film is universally maligned, the brothers' unrepentant love in their memories of the film is tested with the rewatch. Have oddities like Bobo and L'il Debbull aged well for them? Is the film still cinema magic, or have their memories betrayed them? Most investors think they're rational. Most founders think they're disciplined. Most boards think they're strategic. They're usually wrong. In this episode, we unpack Fast Forward Thinking by Luis Pareras — a physician turned deep-tech venture capitalist who distilled decades of investing under scientific uncertainty into 40 brutally structured rules. This is not a summary. It's a decision upgrade for founders, operators, board members, and capital allocators navigating the high-stakes terrain from Series A to IPO and beyond — where bias compounds, capital misallocates, and timing determines survival.Across seven tightly structured lessons, we explore how elite investors actually think:Why consensus is often a red flagWhy opportunity abundance demands ruthless selectivityWhy the first meeting should never closeWhy innovation compounds through milestones — not miraclesWhy exit logic must exist from day oneWhy managing error asymmetry beats being “right”And why teams — not ideas — determine survival under pressureThis episode translates Pareras' venture logic into executive practice — with direct applications for capital allocation, hiring, governance, and strategic design. You'll walk away with frameworks, sharper filters, and board-level questions that immediately improve judgment.Key TakeawaysBias Is the Silent Capital Killer Consensus feels safe. It often destroys upside.Selectivity Is Survival Abundance demands disciplined rejection.Curiosity Beats Closure The first meeting earns the second.Innovation Is Staged Breakthroughs are milestone-based progressions.Exit Thinking Is Structural Capital is deployed against time horizons.Error Asymmetry Shapes Returns Managing Type I and Type II errors defines long-term performance.Teams Outperform Ideas Execution discipline and cognitive flexibility win under uncertainty.Timestamps(00:00) Introduction(04:17) The Big Idea(08:33) Who Is Luis Pareras(12:03) Takeaway 1: Cognitive Bias Is the Hidden Enemy of Good Decisions(18:55) Takeaway 2: Deal Flow Is Abundant — Selectivity Is the Real Skill(24:16) Takeaway 3: The First Meeting Is Not About Closing(29:04) Takeaway 4: Innovation Is a Process(35:20) Takeaway 5: Exit Awareness Shapes Investment Logic(39:59) Takeaway 6: Error Types Matter More Than Individual Outcomes(44:38) Takeaway 7: Teams and Judgment Matter More Than Ideas(49:15) Key Takeaways: The Fast Forward Operating System(54:25) Personal Reflection and EndWhy ListenUpgrade how you evaluate opportunities — before committing capital.Sharpen how you structure innovation — before chasing breakthroughs.Design decision systems that reduce catastrophic error. And build organizations that survive uncertainty. If this episode sharpens your thinking:Follow the show.Share it with someone who allocates capital. And bring these questions into your next board meeting.Because in venture, public markets, and corporate strategy alike —returns are rarely accidental.Send a textSupport the showJoin the Podcast Newsletter: Link
