Hey darlings, this new piece came to me yesterday. I think it's really special. It's about grief and resilience, coming to terms and striving forward. Sometimes, it can be one step forward and two steps back, when it comes to life. We are living and struggling and succeeding together. Let's keep shining out our love, through our hardships and through our joy. We are glorious butterflies, always emerging in the light, from different challenges. Remember that. With love, Holly.Lots of love to you Daddy. April 13th 1933 - May 7th 2011. For a beautiful video for this music click here. ★ Support this podcast ★
The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled...was creating a movie that stands the test of time. The Usual Suspects (1995) continues to amaze audiences, even if they understand the movie. Music to take you on an emotional journey. Haunting, effervescent, joyful, ethereal. These melodies are so beautiful. Dive deep into this harp meditation and fly high with the stars. Please consider buying my album. Yay for 150 episodes! I hope this one finds you well.
Degens Andy S and Brandon Bombay hit listeners with a twist they won't see coming, because it kinda doesn't make sense, while talking about the crime caper classic 'The Usual Suspects.' Andy kicks it off by telling a story about when he wound up in police custody after attending a Grateful Dead show, and similar to Benecio del Toro's infamous fart, he couldn't hold it in while standing in a police lineup. Then the fellas discuss a movie that put handicapped people on film back at least 15 years, and debate whether this movie that is noted for its labyrinthine storytelling still holds up. It features an uneven cast, but there are undeniably great turns from the likes of Gabriel Byrne, character actor Pete Postelthwaite, and Kevin Spacey's duplicitous criminal mastermind. The true star of this however is actor Christopher McQuarrie, but the guys have trouble figuring out why Spacey's Verbal Kint needed to tell lies that were structured around the postings on a police bulletin board. Much like this '90s banger, you'll be talking about — and scratching your head — well after this episode ends.
This piece always leaves me with a sense of calm tranquillity. It's expanding and full of glorious resonance. It's got a celestial quality to it and I feel like I'm floating in the clouds, when I listen. It's in A minor. ★ Support this podcast ★
Hooray! Happy to announce the release of my new album Moon Harp. This track is a little different to my usual style. Here I explore sustained notes and layers of ethereal harmonies to create this moon song called Aura. It's hypnotic, dreamy and meditative, being almost 20 mins long. Ice crystals + Refracted Moonlight = Moon Aura. How cool is that?
Gentle harp music for release and connection. You'll hear soft, rolling waves, too. Flow away with these sacred sounds and bathe in their beauty. Feel at ease. Feel relaxed. Feel peace residing within. Music can be so healing. I hope you find solace here. ★ Support this podcast ★

When Conor Spacey was working in his first kitchen he was shocked at the amount of perfectly good food being thrown away. He convinced his boss to let him save it, cook it, and use it to feed all of his colleagues. It was a small change that made a big difference to the kitchen's sustainability and its bottom line. Ever since, Conor has dedicated his career to fighting food waste and creating a fairer food system.Today, Conor is the Culinary Director of FoodSpace Ireland and a co-founder of the Chef's Manifesto. In this episode of Food Matters, Conor joins Mick Kelly of GIY to talk about his 35-year career in the food industry and how zero-waste can be achieved in hospitality, schools, at home, and in the supply chain.

Happy Halloween, everyone! We decided to take advantage of the fact that the holiday is on a Thursday this year and sat down to watch the low-budget campfest that is "Jason X"! It looks like it cost roughly $12 and starred every Canadian actor that wasn't working on a "Stargate" or other syndicated early-2000s sci-fi series over a weekend off, which honestly just adds to its bizarre atmosphere. Two of your hosts have never seen a single "Friday the 13th" before this, so what was their opinion of this odd, self-aware outing? Listen to find out! Also this week: effort distribution, rim-face, and better than "Star Wars"?

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem I was wondering to myself what would the apocalypse look like? Based on all the craziness that is going on in the world today I think people are more aware than ever that we might be headed to end times. I'm just not that sure what our end times looks like. So in this sesh I'm posing the question of what you think an apocalypse would look like. Is it filled with fire and brimstone, a nuclear war, aliens or is it something we won't see coming? This is always a fun topic to explore considering there are so many different possibilities and my imagination runs rampant with this kind of thought exercise. I really do want to know your opinion so please leave a comment and let me know what you think. Even if that means letting me know you think I'm off my rocker. Hope you enjoy the sesh!
