The gang comes together to discuss the history of 420 (seriously). They also discuss Mallott retiring Burns (maybe?) and the UFC being unhappy the gate was bad for their crappy card. The gang then talks about Ronda Rousey ethering Kayla Harrison and further discuss the potential impact of MVP MMA. They then give their top 5 stoner media. All that and another edition of "Stuff We Like."
The Craic returns with Petesy Carroll, Chuck Mindenhall, and Ben Fowlkes back together as usual. After catching up, the lads react to Dana White's comments insisting the UFC's White House event is not political (8:48). Following reports that Saudi Arabia has pulled its funding from LIV Golf, the boys explore what it could mean for combat sports' ties to the country and its boxing figurehead, Turki Al-Sheikh (38:23). Paddy Pimblett also stirred interest by revealing he'll be fighting at International Fight Week, which is rumored to feature Conor McGregor's return. The trio map out what that card could look like (46:59). Another UFC star making headlines was Arman Tsarukyan, after a viral video surfaced showing him being kicked off a flight, which prompts a reaction on the show (51:01). Ronda Rousey's return to MMA has also sparked debate, with her comments on the UFC and Kayla Harrison giving the lads plenty to unpack (55:18). The trio preview this weekend's combat sports fixtures, including UFC Winnipeg headlined by Gilbert Burns vs. Mike Malott (01:04:30), before answering your Super Chats (01:07:58).

SleepyJ and Mean Gene talk UFC 324 betting. UFC 324 marks the promotion's return after a six week hiatus, with the first event airing on Paramount Plus from T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. SleepyJ and Mean Gene break down the card with a betting focused lens, highlighting the platform shift, earlier start times, and a main card built around recognizable names and divisional stakes. The headliner features Justin Gaethje against Patti Pimlett, a matchup framed as a defining test for Pimlett and a potential final run moment for Gaethje. Both hosts lean toward Pimlett, citing his grappling strength, confidence, and recent performance, with expectations that the fight ends inside the distance by submission or stoppage. They note Gaethje's power and durability but question his long term resilience after years of high damage bouts and recent retirement talk. The co main event pits Sean O Malley against Song Yidong following the cancellation of the originally planned Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunez fight. O Malley is viewed as a motivated contender looking to re enter the title picture, with his striking precision, reach, and movement expected to exploit Song's defensive openings. Both analysts believe the betting line undervalues O Malley and anticipate either a knockout or a decisive performance that positions him for another championship opportunity. On the rest of the main card, Natalia Silva is favored heavily over Rose Namajunas, with volume, pace, and trajectory cited as key factors. Silva is described as a future title challenger, while Namajunas is respected for her résumé but seen as struggling against the division's emerging elite. The heavyweight bout between Waldo Cortez Acosta and Derrick Lewis draws divided opinions, with SleepyJ preferring a fight ending inside the distance while Mean Gene takes a plus money shot on Lewis, emphasizing heavyweight volatility and knockout power. The prelim headliner features Umar Nurmagomedov against Davidson Figueredo, where Nurmagomedov is expected to make a statement following a recent loss, with both hosts favoring a finish rather than a decision. Overall, UFC 324 is presented as a strong return card, blending divisional clarity, betting value, and potential star building moments as the UFC enters a new broadcast era. It's happening. The Paramount+ Era is upon us. What surprises are in store? We'll find out on Saturday, as UFC 324 goes down, featuring the interim lightweight championship fight between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett. How does Pimblett (more than a 2-to-1 favorite) beat Gaethje? We're not totally sure, but maybe that's why we're dumb podcast hosts and the oddsmakers are the oddsmakers. Plus, Kayla Harrison's pile-of-trash neck forced her off this card, which was kind of a big loss. And Conor McGregor says his UFC contract is “void,” since pay-per-view doesn't exist anymore. Could he be… right? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Dana White made it a memorable Thanksgiving for MMA fans with the announcement during the Chiefs vs. Cowboys game that Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy Pimblett for the interim UFC lightweight title headlines UFC 324 over the Kayla Harrison vs. Amanda Nunes mega-fight, and also revealed later that evening that Alexander Volkanovski will face Diego Lopes for the second time in a row in a featherweight title bout in the main event of UFC 325. On an all-new edition of Between the Links, the panel reacts to the big title fights announced for the new Paramount era, the reception from the MMA community, and where this leaves other title hopefuls, including Arman Tsarukyan. On today's episode of Good Guy / Bad Guy, Chael & DC continue the conversation centered around the new UFC Middleweight champion, Khamzat Chimaev. Following his win vs Dricus Du Plessis, Khamzat told Chael that he should be the #1 Pound-4-Pound fighter in the UFC… Well, he came in at #4 this week, so do the guys believe that is the correct ranking or should he be higher? Khamzat Chimaev. Merab Dvalishvili. Kayla Harrison. These are just a few names that are UFC champions and their background is in wrestling. So that got DC + Chael thinking… Are we in the “era of the wrestler” in the UFC right now? Plus, what is the biggest fight the UFC can make right now; Khamzat vs Islam or Islam vs Ilia? Sticking with matchmaking, with two big fights booked at middleweight, who will come out the #1 contender? And, on the heels of the WWE x ESPN partnership announcement starting on September 20th with WWE Wrestlepalooza, WWE Superstar Bronson Reed joins the show! Learn more about your ad choices.
