With Matt Serra out for the day, Jim Norton teams up with UFC Hall of Famer Forrest Griffin, who steps in as co-host for an exciting episode of UFC Unfiltered. This episode features two standout winners from Saturday's UFC 310 card: flyweight Joshua Van and welterweight Bryan Battle. First up is Van, who shares his inspiring journey from Myanmar to the UFC. He reflects on how defending himself from childhood bullies turned a love of Bruce Lee into a passion for martial arts, eventually leading him to a successful career as a professional fighter. Jim and Forrest also break down the biggest moments from UFC 310, including Alexandre Pantoja and Shavkat Rakhmonov's victories, and discuss what could be next for these fighters. Later, Bryan Battle joins the show, bringing plenty of laughs as he chats with Jim and Forrest. He takes a thoughtful look back at his split-decision victory, opening up about how a challenging fight camp impacted his preparation and led to his weight miss.
UFC 310 has played out in reality and just as we thought, Kai Asakura couldn't stand up to the Cannibal test, opting instead to take a nap on the job. Shavkat Rakhmonov got a lot more resistance from Ian Machado Garry than he bargained for, and we got to see some of the most egregious judging in recent memory with Volkov-Gane. The undercard also bore witness to more questionable judging in the Sterling-Evloev fight, but alas, what can we do? Let's take a look at the results and bonuses:MMA Vivisection & 6th Round is a reader-supported publication. The Craic is back and this week Petesy is zooming in all things UFC Paris. One of the foremost voices for the French sport, Guillaume Duseux of trailblazing podcast La Sueur, joins the show to set the table for the big card in the City of Light and explains the explosion in popularity the sport has witnessed in the country since MMA's legalisation in 2020. Following his underdog pick of Merab Dvalishvili bringing home the first perfect parlay for the new era of The Ariel Helwani Show, Petesy speaks to his “Underdog of the Week” Kevin Jousset, who takes on Bryan Battle at the Paris Event. The 2-0 UFC welterweight explains why he went to Scotland to learn to speak English, training with Alex Volkanovski in Australia, moving to City Kickboxing and his pursuit of Ian Machado Garry. Petesy details his experience covering an MMA event in Paris and explains why he thinks the popularity of the sport in the country is difficult for the English-speaking community to comprehend.
Is Renato Moicano ready for the top of the lightweight division? More importantly, is the top of the lightweight division ready for "Money" after he ran through Benoit Saint Denis in front of a rabid UFC Paris crowd? On an all-new edition of On To the Next One, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Alexander K. Lee discuss what's next for Moicano following an absolute drubbing of Saint Denis. Additionally, future matchups are discussed for Nassourdine Imavov who continued to roll by beating Brendan Allen, William Gomis after improving to 4-0 in the UFC on Saturday, along with fellow main card standouts Bryan Battle, Morgan Charriere, and Fares Ziam. Renato Moicano was “Money” after all. On Saturday at Accor arena, Moicano delivered a brutal beatdown to Benoit Saint Denis in the main event of UFC Paris, scoring a second-round doctor stoppage after Saint Denis was rendered unable to see in one eye. Following Saturday's event from the French capitol, MMA Fighting's Jed Meshew and José Youngs react to Moicano's big win and where Saint Denis goes from here. Additionally, the MMA Fighting team reacts to Nassourdine Imavov's big win over Brendan Allen in the co-main event, and what that means for both men's title aspirations, as well as highlight reel performances from Bryan Battle, Morgan Charriere, Fares Ziam, and Chris Duncan. On today's episode of UFC Unfiltered, lightweight Matt Frevola and welterweight Bryan Battle join Jim Norton and Matt Serra from Paris ahead of their upcoming bouts on Saturday's card. Calling into the show on his third wedding anniversary, Frevola gets candid about how special it is to not only fight in France, but to also be joined by his wife and their three-month old son. With Jim Norton out for the day, it's a Serra-Longo type of day on UFC Unfiltered as the great Ray Longo saves the day as guest co-host for an episode featuring lightweight Mike Davis and comedian Mike Glazer. Longo shares his perspective of this past Saturday's UFC Fight Night: Tuivasa vs. Tybura as someone who was in Las Vegas for the duration of the card. While recapping the card, Matt explains what he thinks he could see being the next course of action for Tai Tuivasa now that the Australian heavyweight has been stopped four straight times. Shortly thereafter, Mike Davis hops on the show to recap his 2nd-round submission win on Saturday's card over Natan Levy, using the backend of his interview to call out a popular lightweight similarly jockeying for a spot in the UFC's 155-pound rankings. When Davis leaves the show, Matt and Ray invite Mike Glazer on to talk to the comedian about the recent release of his special, “Life Rules!”, on YouTube. While Glazer's comedy keeps him from being a full-on MMA practitioner, Matt still manages to identify an interesting martial arts discipline that Longo and Glazer have in common. Matt and Ray end the show by sharing their thoughts on the news that Rio de Janeiro's UFC 301 co-main event will see Jose Aldo take on Jonathan Martinez in the Brazilian legend's first MMA fight since retiring after a loss to Merab Dvalishvili in 2022.
In this episode, Sunni Imhotep and Anonymous African discuss Conor McGregor's fight status with Michael Chandler as well as the UFC card from this weekend!

The Ultimate Fighter is well represented on today's episode of UFC Unfiltered, as former TUF champions Bryan Battle and Mohammed Usman join Matt Serra and Jim Norton ahead of their upcoming fights on Saturday. Coming off a 14-second knockout win in front of his hometown fans in Charlotte, UFC welterweight Bryan Battle reflects on his journey to the UFC before ultimately previewing his fight against AJ Fletcher on the main card of Saturday's UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Gamrot. UFC heavyweight Mohammed Usman hops on the show shortly thereafter. The former football player-turned-MMA fighter weighs in on the idea of how high-level NFL players could do in the cage before explaining why he relishes the target that's on his back as the younger brother of the legendary Kamaru Usman. Turning his eyes to Saturday's fight against Jake Collier, Usman explains why he believes his opponent's recent string of losses makes Collier a dangerous fighter with nothing to lose going into the fight versus an up-and-comer like himself. Finally, Jim and Matt take a look up and down the bout sheet of UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Gamrot with select thoughts on what they're most excited to see during Saturday's fights.
