    Here comes the heat! Turned on the AC in the house yesterday and it's a nice 64° inside. Thankfully, it's going to cool off tomorrow with some showers & thunderstorms expected in the area. In the news this morning, multiple injuries in a "targeted attack" in Colorado, RIP to Loretta Swit, an update on some of the road construction happening in the La Crosse area, a UTV crashed into a K9 squad car, and the Bloomer Brewing Company closed it's doors over the weekend. In sports, the Brewers have won 7 in a row…including a weekend sweep of the Phillies, the Pacers beat the Knicks on Saturday to advance to the NBA finals, the Stanley Cup final begins on Wednesday, Ryan Blaney won in Nashville last night, the Rockies set new record for futility in MLB, and Zion Williamson has been accused of rape & abuse by an ex-girlfriend. Elsewhere in sports, Scott Hanson will be back on RedZone this year, John Brenkus from ESPN's "Sports Science" has died, and the world of boxing has new "sex testing" policies. Talked about what's on TV today and some of the trailers that came out this weekend, including "Happy Gilmore 2" and the new "Frankenstein" film. Plus, the schedule for the final season of "Stranger Things". Very cool story about a recent high school grad who had to work his shift at Burger King right after his graduation ceremony, and another great story about a toddler that was rescued by police after it got onto the luggage belt at an airport.     The weekend is so close, I can almost taste those ice-cold beers! Started the morning off with the Thursday Song and we asked each other hypothetical questions. Brian's question for Jean was, "Can you summarize your life so far in under 15 words?" Jean's question for Brian was, "Would you rather a solo work trip to somewhere mundane, or a group work trip to somewhere fun & exciting?" In the news this morning, a La Crosse man is headed to federal prison for dealing meth, an Eau Claire man was charged after pointing a gun at another person & fleeing police, Elon Musk is leaving the Trump administration, nine cities in Wisconsin made this year's list of the best places to live, and Ford has recalled a bunch of vehicles for a camera issue. In sports, the Brewers completed the series sweep of the Red Sox yesterday, the Thunder beat the T-Wolves to advance to the NBA finals, and the Panthers beat the Hurricanes to win the East and move on to the Stanley Cup final. Elsewhere in sports, a change for the PGA tour, Charlie Woods gets a big win, a stabbing after a Knicks/Pacers game, a grounds crew member who didn't want to be on camera, and a very wet post-game interview.     Love these short weeks! Took an extra day off yesterday to go to Milwaukee on Memorial Day for the Brewers/Red Sox game and now I've got three short days of work before the weekend pops back up. Hope you made the most of your holiday weekend. In the news this morning, the Winona County Sheriff's office is looking for information on a few shootings in the Rollingstone area this weekend, Southwest Airlines is now going to be charging for checked baggage, President Trump is pardoning the Chrisleys, a judge in Wisconsin is getting suspended without pay for misconduct, and an update on the escaped inmates in Louisiana. In sports, the Brewers got a walk-off grand slam from Yelich last night, the Pacers beat the Knicks to push them to the brink in the NBA's Eastern Conference finals, and in hockey, the Oilers are one win away from the Stanley Cup finals after beating Dallas again last night. In the news this morning, Kwik Trip is still number one, David Kahl has died, we're getting rid of pennies, and a dude was throwing dirty diapers on the side of the road rather than disposing of them properly. In sports, the Brew Crew beat the Pirates last night, the Thunder got another win on the Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals, and the Florida Panthers also got a win over the Hurricanes in their playoff series. Elsewhere in sports, the Kentucky Derby winning jockey is appealing his punishment for whipping his horse too much during the race, Aidan Hutchinson is cleared for play, the College Football playoffs are changing again, and the Blackhawks got a new coach.     Finally going to dry up a bit today after all this rain. Which is good, because my lawn desperately needs to be mowed! As we get ready for the long, holiday weekend ahead, we took a bit of a look back this morning in the news with the latest on Steven Avery. Plus, an update on the alleged murder/suicide at UW-Platteville earlier this week. Also in the news, Judge Hannah Dugan was caught on video confronting ICE agents in the courtroom, the state of WI is testing milk for avian flu, and a few more arrests have been made in connection to the jailbreak in Louisiana. In sports this morning, the Brewers lost yesterday to the Orioles in extra innings, the Pacers beat the Knicks in overtime last night, and the Dallas Stars doubled up the Edmonton Oilers. Also, the Badgers/Fighting Irish game at Lambeau Field in 2026 has a new date, Colts owner Jim Irsay passed away, a new MVP in the NBA, and the Tush Push isn't going anywhere. Cool story about a lost class ring that made it's way back to the family of the original owner, and a morning news anchor at a TV station went into labor right before going on-air to deliver the news. It's another "Hypothetical Thursday" today, and Jean's question for Brian was, "If you could be any Muppet, which would you be?" Meanwhile, Brian's question for Jean was, "You can only have one pasta sauce for the rest of your life. Which are you choosing?" A couple of new "trends" are making the rounds, including men wearing cleats during their daily lives, rather than just on the field. And putting flowers in your toilet tank. In sports, the Brewers managed to get a win against the Guardians last night, we recapped last night's NBA & NHL playoff action and looked ahead to tonight's matchups in the NBA & NHL. Plus, we discussed the Packers 2025 schedule. We talked about what's on TV tonight and had a great story about a cop that saved a dog's life and was able to adopt it after the owner never showed up to claim the pooch. It's "Hypothetical Thursday", and Brian's question for Jean was: "If you could get rid of one of the chores you do on a regular basis for the rest of your life, what chore would it be?"     The weekend has finally arrived. And I'm still not 100%. Feeling a bit better than yesterday, but still coughing up chunky phlegm and dealing with stuffy sinus issues. Blech. In the news this morning, a deadly helicopter crash in New York yesterday, bridge inspections in the Eau Claire area begin next week, Wisconsin school districts will not be complying with a directive from the Trump administration to eliminate DEI programs, Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler will not run for reelection, road construction on I-90/94 near the Dells begins next week, and Publishers Clearing House is filing for bankruptcy. In sports, the Brewers lost to the Rockies yesterday, but the Bucks got their sixth win in a row last night by beating the Pelicans. Day one of the Masters ended yesterday with Justin Rose in the lead, Alexander Ovechkin got a hero's welcome in Washington last night, and a few NFL refs have been demoted by the league. Thankfully, there's about 13 hours of college basketball today starting at 11am to keep me occupied!
