First up, Ryan Baldi (https://twitter.com/ryanbaldifw?lang=en) took a deep dive into Real Madrid's season and their squad. We dissect their struggles in the league, as they went from a 4-4-2 diamond into a 4-3-3, seemingly disrupting the squads rhythm. After reverting to the 4-4-2 that had served them so well at the back end of last year, Isco was absolutely key to their revitalised performances. But will the talented Spaniard stay at the Galacticos beyond this season? Ryan tries to dig into the reasons he could want a route out of Madrid. He's not the only one however, Gareth Bale is constantly linked back to the premier league and you'd think barring a new deal that those links will once again reach fever pitch! Indeed, Ryan believes that this is the summer that the Welshman finally makes his return to England! Alongside these two superstars, we also discuss the futures of Dani Ceballos, Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos! From the Bernabeu to Valencia, who have been the surprise package in this year's La Liga, must have a few wandering eyes peering at some of their players surely? We talk about the breakout superstar, PSG-owned Goncalo Guedes and his interesting summer ahead! We also discuss coveted talent Carlos Soler, Rodrigo and left-back Jose Gaya. Next up- we talked about the Football Index elephant in the room-Antoine Griezmann. Barcelona seem to be leading the chase but could he land elsewhere? If he does end up in Catalonia-where do Barcelona raise the cash from following their mega deal with Philippe Coutinho? Now a question that got a lot of joy on the Bundesliga podcast was whether or not some players in relegated teams could make a transfer away from their respective clubs. It was safe to say that Ryan and I were scraping the barrel! However there were some interesting players on loan returning to their parent club who could make moves away. The likes of Halilović and Lucas Perez could strike up some interest in the summer! Next up, we look at who are the next players in La Liga to break through like Asensio and Guedes, Ryan had some great shouts! We then moved on to talk about two players who have been heavily linked with moves away from their respective clubs: Fabian Ruiz and Aaron Martin. The former is a gangly central midfielder with a €30 million buyout clause who plays for Real Betis, and the latter is a talented left-back playing for Espanyol who's highly coveted. Last but certainly not least, is there any chance of Neymar ACTUALLY leaving PSG for Real Madrid this summer? We discuss this one in great detail.... Ryan has also written a book which he is trying crowd-fund! If you liked what you heard, here's a link to the book: https://unbound.com/books/wonderkids/ It's all about footballers who were hyped during their youth, but never made it at the top level for one reason or another.
