Host Ricky Sacks was joined by TJ Ramini, Mitch Fretton and Jonny Hamme as inconsistency struck Tottenham Hotspur again as they were held at home by Fulham in the Premier League. Spurs, who were missing several key players through injury and suspension, had to withstand severe pressure before taking a 54th-minute lead through Brennan Johnson. The Wales forward volleyed home his sixth league goal of the season from close range after being teed up by Timo Werner's cross. But Fulham, who had the better chances in the game, deservedly equalised 13 minutes later through captain Tom Cairney, who was then sent off with seven minutes left for a late challenge on the back of Dejan Kulusevski's leg. Cairney, who had only just come on as a substitute, lashed a first-time left-footed shot home from 18 yards after being picked out by Alex Iwobi. The end of the international break is nigh and Fulham return to the Cottage this weekend to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers, who have struggled for form this season but who did pick up their first win before the break against Southampton. We take a look at Gary O'Neil's charges and examine where this game will be won and lost, as well as some of the injuries and system changes that have shaped Wolves' season.  Before that though, there's a look back at the International Whites who were in action - Harry Wilson with another scorcher for Wales as his good form continues, Raul Jimenez's impressive leadership as he helped steer Mexico out of tricky waters, single-game showings for Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi and Joachim Andersen, an impressive change of role for Antonee Robinson, Timothy Castagne captaining Belgium, and two assists for Sander Berge for Norway.  And there's also time for a little discussion of how Sasa Lukic fits back into this Fulham midfield when he returns from his injury, as well as a couple of your emails to round things off. The penalty gods took revenge on finally giving a penalty for Everton last week and two big mistakes lead to a 2-0 loss vs. United in Manchester.  The ATP is at full force with Alex, James, and Ryan trying to analyze what was a very frustrating performance from the Toffees.  They get into the clear difference in halves, highlight a few positive performances, but otherwise take the rest of the team to task for individual mistakes.  They also ask the question about how much of the results are the fault of the manager and what Everton can do to right the ship during an extended break likely away from England.  And yes, we talk about Alex Iwobi for no good reason at all.   LINKS: https://linktr.ee/usatoffeepod Intro: Steve Barkwill Production: James Boyman Outro: Kenboib

Iwobi and Bassey scored the goals for Fulham that earned them a win against Man United at Old Trafford. Calvin Bassey opened the scoring in the 65th minute and Manchester United had to start chasing the equalizer till the end of the game, Harry Maguire found the equalizer in the 89th minute, but Alex Iwobi and Fulham had other plans. Substitute, Adama Traore set up Alex Iwobi in the 7th minute of stoppage time and Alex Iwobi made no mistakes when he cut in and slotted the ball into the left-hand side of the net. It was lovely to see two Nigerians win such a big game for their team Taiwo Awoniyi assisted Niakhate's first half goal. He was taken off at half time and will be assessed as he really hasn't returned to full fitness.  Emmanuel Dennis scored Watford's only goal in their loss at home to Huddersfield. Dennis put his team up in the 55th minute, but goals in the 70th and 83rd minute from Danny Ward won the 3 points for Huddersfield and leaves Watford 11th in the EFL Championship  Victor Osimhen returned to the starting lineup for Napoli in their UCL round of 16 home game against Barcelona. Robert Lewandowski put the visitors ahead in the 60th minute before Osimhen pulled on back for Napoli in the 75th minute to earn a draw before heading to Barcelona for the return leg on March 12.  Away at Cagliari, Osimhen put his team up in the 65th minute and Napoli seemed to be on their way to a victory that would have moved the team up to 8th, but Zito Luvumbo scored a 96th-minute equalizer for both teams to share a point. Cyriel Dessers scored two goals against Hearts in Rangers home game against Hearts. Rangers won the game 5-0. Dessers continues his wonderful season in which he now has 16 goals and 5 assists in all competitions. Could be catching the attention of some clubs in the top 5 leagues. Ebenezer Akinsanmiro (19) made his Inter Milan debut in their away game against Lecce in which they won 4-0. Inter remain 1st on the table. Akinsanmiro had previously played for Remo Stars and Inter's U-19 team.  The Super Falcons defeated the indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 1-0 in the Moshood Abiola national stadium in Abuja. Esther Okoronkwo scored Nigeria's only goal in the 2024 Olympics qualifying match and the team will face the winners of the South Africa vs Tanzania game which will be played tomorrow. Their next match will be in April against South Africa Other performances to note: Moses Simon got the assist for Nantes' only goal in their 1-0 win against Lorient. James and Ryan are at the helm to bring the highs and lows of a physical midweek Caribou Cup match at Highbury in Fleetwood. It wasn't pretty, but Everton move on to the 3rd round of the League Cup with a 1-0 away win in a match that more resembled an NHL or NFL game at times.  The ATP duo get into the details and focus on major takeaways via a ton of listener comments on topics such as the lack of Gbamin/Allan on the bench, the ineffectiveness of the CF play, the continued brilliance of Alex Iwobi, and the performances of relative newcomers Ruben Vinagre, Amadou Onana, Reece Welch, and Lewis Warrington. To close things out, they go into the current injury crisis as well as the general lack of quality and address the current rumor mill including the Anthony Gordon saga and potential incomings such as Joao Pedro and Mo Kudus.   LINKS: https://linktr.ee/usatoffeepod INTRO: Steve Barkwill Production: James Boyman Outro: Kenboib Learn more about your ad choices.
