Enflasyonla mücadele amacı ile sürdürülen sıkılaştırma programı da programın sürdürüleceğine ilişkin verilen mesajlar da devam ediyor. Elbette Türkiye'nin en önemli ekonomik sorunlarından bir tanesi enflasyon. Hatta bugün yaşanılan pek çok problemin nedeni de geçmişte doğrudan veya dolaylı olarak enflasyona neden olan uygulamalar. Bu bakımdan enflasyonla mücadele konusunda geri adım atılmamalı. Ancak diğer yandan belki de bazı politikaları gözden geçirme zamanı gelip gelmediğini de kontrol etmekte fayda var.

Hafta başı itibariyle Türkiye yeni bir sürece girdi. PKK'nın kendisini feshetmesinin sağlanması ile beraber terörsüz Türkiye yolunda çok ciddi bir aşama da geçilmiş oldu. Elbette bu bir süreç yönetimi gerektiren uzun ve meşakkatli bir iş. Henüz her şey tamamen bitmiş değil. Son derece titiz ve dikkatli yönetilmesi gereken bir dönemdeyiz. Ancak gelinen noktanın son derece kıymetli olduğunu da unutmamak gerekiyor.

Hafta içinde Marmara Denizi'nde yaşanan ve İstanbul başta olmak üzere tüm bölge şehirlerini etkileyen 6,2 büyüklüğündeki depremin ardından gündem yeniden deprem ve İstanbul oldu. 6 Şubat Kahramanmaraş depremlerinin ardından bir süre gündemde kalan deprem gerçeği son dönemde pek ilgi görmüyordu. Ancak yaşanan son depremlerle beraber gözler yeniden deprem konusuna çevrildi.

Devam eden sıkılaştırma programının en önemli enstrümanlarından birisi de ticari kredilerde aylık kredi büyümesinin sınırlandırılması.
