Apesar de outros times, como o alemão Frankfurt, mostrarem interesse, Endrick optou pelo Lyon, onde terá chances e tempo de jogo, já que o clube estava à procura de um centro-avante desde a partida do georgiano Georges Mikautadze, em agosto. Com a vaga aberta, o atacante brasileiro vai estar mais visível em ação nos gramados, o que pode despertar a atenção do treinador italiano Carlo Ancelotti, que dirige a seleção brasileira, na opinião de outro comentarista do programa Radio Foot Internacional, Chérif Zhemour. "Acho que isso pesou na decisão dele. Vamos lembrar que o Lyon disputa o campeonato francês, mas também a Liga Europa, o que significa jogar a cada três dias, em média.
