LA-based collective Beauty In Chaos release their fourth long-play record 'Dancing With Angels' on July 24 via 33.3 Music Collective. Their fourth album cements BIC's legacy for crafting captivating and imagination-stirring music with eight diverse, riveting tracks on offer. BIC has also just unveiled the video for 'Holy Ground', a lush offering featuring Patrik Mata of seminal darkwave band Kommunity FK, Beauty In Chaos was formed in 2018 by guitarist Michael Ciravolo (formerly of Human Drama and Gene Loves Jezebel and currently President of Schecter Guitars) with Grammy nominated producer Michael Rozon (Ministry) as a revolving evolving sonic entity. To date, Beauty In Chaos has involved numerous music luminaries, including members of The Cure, Ministry, Cheap Trick, The Offspring, Gene Loves Jezebel, Marilyn Manson, Human Drama, Bauhaus, Nine Inch Nails, Van Halen, A Flock of Seagulls, dUg Pinnick (Kings X), ICE-T, guitar icon Zakk Wylde, Rolan Bolan, and many others. "The title was inspired by a painting from a talented German artist Maren Platzhoff, which also became the album's cover. As Michael Rozon and I began writing the music for this release, I knew I wanted to blend artists from our first two releases with some amazing new members to our BIC family," says Michael Ciravolo. This eight song release features BIC alumni Ashton Nyte, Holy Wars firecracker Kat Leon, and both Wayne and Cinthya Hussey. Ciravolo shares “I love bringing in ‘less famous' but certainly no less talented artists to the fold, and I think this album does just that”. Leo Luganskiy, Julian Shah-Tayler, former Silence In The Snow frontwoman Cynthia Isabella, The Bellwether Syndicate's William and Sarah Faith, and Patrik Mata (main-man of seminal darkwave band Kommunity FK) bring immense and diverse talents to “Dancing With Angels”. Ciravolo describes this album as sort of a "sonic regression and a sonic progression", noting “I meant this as a positive thing, taking some of the post-rock elements of our debut album, the stark dark bits that run through ‘The Storm Before The Calm' and the gothy dreamy-gaze of 'Behind The Veil'. It was definitely going a bit backwards to take a few steps forward!”
Leeds-based Italian-born artist Stella Wembley began her musical career in Italy as a soprano while studying opera at the Royal Conservatory of Music "San Pietro a Majella" in Naples. Upon graduating, she found limited opportunities on the Italian music scene, she moved to London in 2017, where she found inspiration and avenues as a musician, performing at venues in Leeds, Blackpool and London. She is a vocalist, lyricist, composer, music producer and video director. She released her 'Wasting My Time' EP, a four-track release of sheer electro-goth delight surrounding the track 'Wasting My Time'. The loop- and arpeggio-driven synth backdrop feeds a retro new-wave vibe, and the catchy chorus underlines multiple conflicting sensations from dark melancholy to fiery self-expression, while exploring the esoteric and mystical and ultimately death, rebirth and destiny. Wembley has collaborated and performed with Lloyd Price (The Frixion), Auger, Inkubus Sukkubus, Zeitgeist Zero, Last July, Rome Burns and Machine Rox. Stella is currently working on her new album "The Alchemy of the Dark Arts'," which will feature Michael Ciravolo (a.k.a. Beauty In Chaos) on guitar.https://stellawembley.comQUEEN OF WANDS with DJ NOCTURNAEvery Saturday on ModSnap Radio | KMOD: San Antonio3pm (HST), 5pm (PST), 6pm (MST), 7pm (CST), 8pm (EST)THANK YOU for your continued support.Follow me on my other social media sites :Website: https://djnocturna.comRadio: : https://modsnapradio.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nocturna.remixed/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/djnocturna/Twitter: https://twitter.com/djnocturnaTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dj.nocturna

Giving us all the information we needed surrounding the newest documentary Unveiled, we got the special opportunity to speak with Whitney Tai and Michael Ciravolo all about the inner workings of this wonderful project. On the heels of the newest album release from Beauty in Chaos, it was only right that a full documentary be created surrounding the record, Behind The Veil. To give a background, ultimately the film “explores the decision to use an all female vocal lineup and the creative process involved with each of the artists”. During our conversation with Whitney and Michael, they so eloquently explained the process of putting the doc together and really just how special of a process it was to create as a whole. We'd urge everyone to not only listen to the album, but to take the time and experience the behind the scenes of it all. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/wewriteaboutmusic/support

We don't normally cover new bands on the Hustle, but we're making a special exception this time. Beauty in Chaos is the brainchild of musician Michael Ciravolo. Michael is steeped in the dark goth rock of the 80s, bands like the Cure, the Mission, Gene Loves Jezebel (who he also played with). He's taken that and released two great albums (as well as two remix albums), but what's amazing is who he's gotten to appear on these albums. Here's a list - Robin Zander, Michael Anthony, Simon Gallup, Ice T, Michael Aston, Al Jourgensen, Dug Pinnick and several former guests like Wayne Hussey, Tim Palmer and John Fryer. It's a collection of musicians you won't see anywhere else. Hear from Michael how he made all this happen and how he intends to move forward. www.beautyinchaosmusic.com www.patreon.com/thehustlepod
On the fifth episode of the Post-Punk Podcast, our Editor-in-Chief Alex Baker spoke to Wayne Hussey of The Mission, a band that formed in wake of The Sisters of Mercy's debut album First and Last and Always, and its aborted follow-up. During the interview, Wayne talks about his work with several other bands, including Pauline Murray and the Invisible Girls and Dead or Alive. Wayne also spoke on what the original Goth scene featured at Planet X in Liverpool was like, as well as his visit to Danceteria in New York, and the origins of some of the iconic Goth fashions of the 80s, including the famous Goth cowboy hat. Wayne discussed all of this and more, including the origins of some iconic songs from both TSOM and The Mission, with more in-depth details on these stories to be found in part one of his autobiography Salad Daze. Wayne also launched The Remission International Charity collaboration, where various artists from the Post-Punk and Gothic Rock scenes came together in support of front-line workers during the COVID-19 Pandemic. You can find more info about the "Tower of Strength 2020" aka "TOS2020" here. Episode 79- The Wanderings crew invites Beauty in Chaos curator Michael Ciravolo back to discuss his remix album "Out of Chaos Comes." We discuss the industry and many of his musical friends. You don't want to miss this one.
Brazilian singer, songwriter, actress and visual artist, Cinthya Hussey was inspired to play the ukulele by Hawaii's Na Hoku Hanohano awards artist, musician, Paula Fuga when she watched her inspirational speech on TEDxMaui conference "Believe in Yourself," in 2012. Paula Fuga's 'Misery's End' was the first song Cinthya learned to play on the Ukulele. Not long after that, her husband, Mission's frontman and guitarist, Wayne Hussey bought her a ukulele for a wedding anniversary present. Since then, Cinthya released her first single and official video, a cover of Morrissey's "Everyday is Like Sunday," produced by Wayne Hussey. Cinthya has also recently contributed vocals to a couple of remixes of the Beauty In Chaos anthem, "The Delicate Balance Of All Things," the "Rapid Reiteration Mix," remixed by renowned music producer Tim Palmer and the Equipoise Mix, mixed by the curator of Beauty in Chaos, Michael Ciravolo and Grammy Award winning producer Michael Rozon. Cinthya's paintings were also used as artwork for the albums "Out of Chaos Comes" and "Chaos Continues. "Cinthya's new single was released on December 11, 2020 called "My Heart is a Ghosttown." Produced by Wayne Hussey, the song is like a vision of "50s/60s pop meets the Cocteau Twins meets David Lynch." This is her first song that she wrote, originally a poem, which will be included on her debut solo album planned for release in 2021. www.cinthyahussey.com
Wayne Hussey is goth-rock royalty. Between his tenure as guitarist in The Sisters of Mercy to founding the The Mission UK, the frontman/guitarist has created some of the most iconic and evocative work in the genre...and beyond. Never content to rest on his laurels, Hussey remains a creative force, as evidenced on The Mission's 2016 epic 'Another Fall From Grace.' And now he's lending his musical talents to a host of charities for Covid-19 frontline workers with a new charity version of one of his biggest hits. Hussey has remade The Mission's 1988 classic 'Tower of Strength' (retitled as 'TOS 2020') with a huge host of musicians (christened as The ReMIssion International) that reads like a Who's Who of alternative icons, including (deep breath) Andy Rourke, Billy Duffy, Budgie, Evi Vine, Gary Numan, James Alexander Graham, Jay Aston (who we've interviewed for this podcast), Julianne Regan, Kevin Haskins (who we've ALSO interviewed for this podcast), Kirk Brandon, Lol Tolhurst, Martin Gore, Michael Aston, Michael Ciravolo, Midge Ure, Miles Hunt, Rachel Goswell, Richard Fortus, Robin Finck, Steve Clarke, Tim Palmer and Trentemøller. In this episode, Hussey and I discuss what inspired remaking 'Tower of Strength', the Herculean task of assembling such an intimidating list of collaborators (and how he got Jay and Michael Aston to appear on the same track), his thoughts on being a musician during a pandemic, his other recent creative pursuits and more. So check it out, and be sure to stick around afterwards, when we'll be playing the radio edit edition of 'TOS2020', And you can purchase the new single in a variety of digital and physical formats by visiting the band's official website. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/slis/support

The morning after the 20th anniversary of his marriage to his wife Tish, Michael Ciravolo took some time to talk with us about Beauty in Chaos. We talked about the album’s guests and their contributions as well as the role(s) his wife and daughters played in the project. Along the way, we also answered the pressing questions like, “Is it really a Van Halen reunion if Michael Anthony isn’t on stage?” Michael Ciravolo is also the President of Schecter Guitars and we only recently learned of this project through Anastasia Vishnevsky, who is the composer and producer of our theme music. She uses a Schecter guitar on much of her music. The album is going through a reinterpretation project with several producers and artists taking part. They’ve also re-recorded a few songs with strings and piano. Michael recently had the solo on Un-Natural Disaster re-recorded by none other than Zakk Wylde and there’s a video in production for it. Zakk & Ice T have already shot their parts and we should be seeing it soon. You can subscribe to our podcast through your favorite app. If you like what you hear, please leave a rating and/or review. What's new at Schecter guitars is always very exciting. The musicians they represent all possess a unique model of their own which is of course, top- quality and custom made. All for sale so that all of you can have one like it. The bands they are best known for include Black Label Society, and their new line of Wylde guitars looks quite outstanding. They are responsible for the making of the Prince model which is what he is know for playing, too cool! So many awesome guitars like the Cheech and Chong, Sean Yseult White Zombie coffin-shaped classic. Halloween electric ... and so on. Daisy Rock guitars are especially for young ladies, and it was his wife who started the company. Great talk if you want to enjoy listening.
