She is also an accredited and very experienced Workplace Mediator.She has a fascination for the paranormal which has lasted a lifetime - and read extensively on the subject looking for answers after living in two seriously haunted houses with poltergeist activity in her formative years. Her investigative mind means she is fascinated by the endless possible answers to the questions posed by people experiencing phenomena, and dreamed for years of writing her own books on the subject.When she partially retired in 2016, she found the time to start writing, and has so far produced three works on the subject - The Ghosts of Marston Vale January 2017, The Almanac of British Ghosts December 2017 and The Roadmap of British Ghosts January 2019. Taoiseach Micheál Martin officially opened Ireland's first dedicated esports complex, the National Esports Centre, this weekend in Cork, marking a major milestone for the country's video gaming industry, digital education and tech sector. The centre represents a €1 million investment in state of the art gaming infrastructure, with the creation of 10 new jobs and further positions available in gaming, media and digital technology expected as the centre continues to expand. Speaking at the opening of the National Esports Centre, Taoiseach Micheál Martin said, "The National Esports Centre is a first for Ireland and marks a major milestone for the gaming sector in this country. This innovative hub will offer unparalleled facilities in gaming, media and digital technology, and I'm delighted it will place Cork on the global stage of gaming." From Ozzy Osbourne to Black Label Society to Zakk Sabbath to, most recently, his stint filling in for his old friend “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott in Pantera, Zakk Wylde has left an unmistakable mark on the hard-rock and metal music worlds. Fresh off performing “The Star Spangled Banner” at the Cleveland Browns game in October, and paying homage to his boss Ozzy at the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Wylde joins this episode of Shred With Shifty to share his teachings from the book of rock. When he was learning to play, Wylde studied Frank Marino, Al Di Meola, and John McLaughlin along with Sabbath shredder Tony Iommi, Jimmy Page, and “King Edward”—Eddie Van Halen—but Osbourne's original right-hand guitar-man Randy Rhoades was top of the crop. Little did Wylde know he'd go on to replace him after his tragic death, following up the work of Rhoades, Brad Gillis, and Jake E. Lee. He got to join his favorite band, but it wasn't an easy gig. “What's expected of you as an Ozzy player?” says Wylde. “The bar that Randy set was lights out.” After a quick pinch-harmonics tutorial, Wylde lays out how he used a Marshall JCM800 and Boss SD-1 with his “holy grail” bullseye Gibson Les Paul Custom to track the alternate-picking intensive on “Miracle Man,” a mix of “ingredients” from all the players Wylde loves. The Murder and Its Implications This public outcry forced a closer examination of the December 4 incident and its broader implications. Mangione's alleged actions were chilling in their precision. According to authorities, he targeted Thompson outside a Midtown Manhattan hotel in a calculated attack designed to intimidate and shock. District Attorney Bragg described the murder as “one of the most bustling parts of our city,” and emphasized its implications for public safety, noting that it endangered “local residents, tourists, commuters, and businesspeople just starting out on their day.” The arrest of Mangione, a University of Pennsylvania graduate from a prominent Maryland family, added another layer of intrigue to the case.
