What's the most laughable complaint you've ever seen on a gaming forum? Join us at the Pig and Whistle Inn in Stormwind, where we dive headfirst into the hilarity of World of Warcraft's most absurd grievances. We'll start by chuckling over a player's dramatic decision to cancel their subscription because of Moonglade guards inexplicably offing random players. We'll break down how such a minor and rare bug could spark such a grand reaction, contrasting it with other quirky in-game mishaps like Thrall's unexpected player kills during quests. Prepare for a lot of laughter as we revel in these trivial yet entertaining bugs that shape the WoW community's robust personality.Switching gears, we address the passionate debates surrounding WoW expansions, from the rose-tinted glasses view of The Burning Crusade to the innovative leaps of Legion. We'll tackle the age-old claims of WoW's decline and discuss the persistent issues spanning from Classic to retail versions. With a balanced perspective, we examine how nostalgia and innovation clash within the community and debunk myths about the impact of retail and classic players. Tune in for a thoughtful and engaging reflection on Azeroth, as we highlight that despite the negativity, the world of WoW still thrives on positive player interactions. Whether you're a veteran player or a curious newbie, this episode promises an insightful and entertaining look at the ever-evolving world of Warcraft. Hope you all enjoy and hope you relate to any of these stories. And I will speak to you all in the next episode!Support the show here:https://www.buzzsprout.com/1196870/supportpatreon.com/Pigandwhistlehttps://www.buymeacoffee.com/PigandWhistleSocials :Twitch : https://www.twitch.tv/pigandwhistletalesYoutube : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAOi6rHO3x90lOmmb82Jv1wWebsite : https://www.pigandwhistletales.com/Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/pigandwhistletales/Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/PigAndWhistleTalesTry out Buzzsprout yourself! https://www.buzzsprout.com/?referrer_id=1154066Listen to the podcast on other platforms:https://www.listennotes.com/podcasts/pig-whistle-tales-from-azeroth-gabriel-nsa902LrQVw/https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/pig-whistle-tales-from-azeroth-1315927https://open.spotify.com/show/5ZTkLtQvRSm4PStUfZquWkhttps://podcastaddict.com/podcast/3032607The Music at the start is from Tony Catch they do many amazing cover songs for games you can find the link here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHiF0dAkbpPMtQSwvAxSupport the Show.Support the show here: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1196870/support patreon.com/Pigandwhistle https://www.buymeacoffee.com/PigandWhistle

I have always wanted to try out a guided meditation that leans more towards fantasy, my all time favourite genre when it comes to books. I came across the word “moonglade” a while back when scrolling the internet for inspiration, and it sparked an idea. I am very excited to have finally brought that idea to fruition and hope it comes across how I pictured it in my mind. I would love to know if you enjoyed this episode or not. I plan to do more in this fantastical style in the future and want to improve the imagery and delivery as best I can!   Please support me by leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. Aprillian and Ashayo discuss another week of playing World of Warcraft, Blizzard's great MMORPG. A full week of WotLK, how are we doing guys? Contest is posted on the blog and we've received some entries. We want more. Aprillian Aprillian dinged 65 and went to train at the Landing.  Wow, expensive! I've decided to move to a new server.  I can't take the queues on ER.  I already have limited play time and having to wait even 10 mins to get in, much less 45 mins is hard.  Plus I play at work and sometimes I have to do something and I'm idle for more than 15 mins or I need to move my laptop from the office to the break room and I'm having to log back in.  I'm in the process of moving 3 characters to Lethon.  I already had a guild there named Ctrl Alt WoW.  So I'm transferring over Iwari, Auntrillia and a new Dranei DK.  Oh and I'm doing another RAF. I have Trez, level 14 Shaman in Eversong woods killing dragonhawks for their eggs.  It's that time of the year again. Monday was a busy busy day.  Transferring a character is a lot like moving. You need to pack up all the stuff you want to take and make sure you got everything you need because you can't come back.  I also had to get stuff off of my "referred account" because I was going to let that one sit unrenewed for a while. Free server transfers.  I sent some toons to Dawnbringer. Wed night, took off.  Hubby is at work.  Going to dual box 2 dk's RAF from start to finish.  The Sweets Blood Elf and Belover Orc.  So far no RAF exp.  Nevermind we weren't grouped.  There we go, yep RAF exp.  They were 59 after turning in the quest to kill the villagers and crusaders and the skulls.  Belover gave Thesweets a level, so now we're doing the persuader quest with the sweets at 60 and Belover at 59.  Doing the horse quest was neat.  I had Moved two DK to Dawnbringer for free.  Had to get one up to the mail box because she had the pet in the mailbox. Unholy tree gives an extra speed when mounted and makes the one following break follow. The ghoul pets have strange names like the warlock pet. Pebbleravager Doing the flying thing with two is cool.  Didn't realize I had to to start the battle at the end, I guess the last two times someone else started it. Did one last transfer to my new RAF account. Didn't have a level 55 on the referred because I transfered her to another account.  So I decided to transfer a level 50 over to it.  But then I wanted the pets and I had them but not the actual pet for the Netherwelp.  I checked the account page and that account only had the Wrath CE, so I searched each toon and found the actual pet thing.  I sent it to the level 50 I was transferring and then realized I had transferred a dk off at the account on to Dawnbringer and didn't give it the pet, so I made one real quick and now am getting it to the mailbox.  Had the DK learn it and Friday morning, got chores done, did some exercises and now have an hour and a half to play.  Goal today: Play the two RAF on ER Primall 50  and Ardrion 44 both Hunters to get them to 55, I got them to 55. At the same time I am running two DK's on the other two clients.  TheJasper, a Tauren DK and Celeen a Dranei DK.  I'm playing on ER during the day while there are no queues. There's some kid in the DK starting zone who says he has no more quest and he's 55 By the end of the morning, before I had to go to work, I had completed up to the Harvester quest on the DK and the Tauren dinged while the Dranei didn't.  Hmm. I took them both back to Ebon Hold.  Thejasper so he can train and Celeen and Thejasper so they could get rested exp.  Every little bit helps. And I completed two quest on Ardrion and Primal.  Well 1 and half, Ardrion finished the Ornament quest.  I didn't take the time to let them both collect 30.  I think I'll take them to Booty Bay after this.  And Ardrion dinged 45, yeah. Friday night on my lunch and break at work, Ardrion and Primall did the Dew thingy and Thristleshrub quest.  They eached dinged a level. Later Friday night, Belover and Thesweets are in Durator levelling skinning and herbalism.  Kind of like the thought of the Mighty Death Knights having to level their skills so humbly. I love the way the citizens feared themselves and cowered. Saturday evening, did some AH stuff.  Had pulled Ardrion out of Felwood to Tanaris for the neutral ah but Primall summoned him back. We flew to Moonglade earlier to get to the Furblogs up north.  I was worried about going through the tunnel.  Primall hadn't gotten hostile with them by accidentally killing one in Azhara.  But I guess she had gotten to unfriendly by doing the southern furblog quest and now she was able to run through the tunnel.  Noticed Primall wasn't getting the RAF rep and also that she had a level to give Ardrion.  After she gave it to Ardrion and he got to 48, she got RAF rep but not exp.  Hmm.  Then they finished the quest and Ardrion dinged, cool.  He's 49 and she's 51.  Hopefully I'll get them to 55 this weekend. Decided to seed some realms to get the 4 year anniversary bear on characters I might want down the road. Be funny if it wasn't worth the effort.  So they turned out to be account bound, but that only means passing to another toon on the same server on the same account, so it's good that I seeded some extra realms.  Now I just have to visit every toon I have within the next 30 days to get the bear, so it doesn't get deleted.  Even new accounts made today got the bear.  I wonder if it will be for everyone who makes a new account who had an active account today. I also took some time Sun morning to use RAF to summon some new characters to places where there is a mailbox. Ally alt on ER making a fortune on horde pets. Buying herb stuff for DK levelling, could killy Jokey for selling peacebloom and silverleaf 1 at a time. Sunday night hubby had an office meeting.  I was determined to get the RAF pair to 55, but it's not always as easy as it seems.  Had them in Winterspring and finshed the Furblog quest but Ardrion still needed to get to 50 to do the totem one.  So I flew them to Badlands while levelling the Jasper in enchanting. Monday morning I took Primall and Ardrion back to Felwood.  Ardrion reached 50 so he could take the totem quest from the Furblogs in the tunnel.  Did the moonwell quests and the saber quest and the escort quest in Shadow Hold. Got to 55 and 54 and Primall gave Ardrion a level and I made my DK's The Ardrion and The Primall.  Got them to 58 after the ghoul harvesting. Ashayo Email Email 1 Hey guys... Blade here... What can I say... but Northrend is an awesome sight to behold... here's a couple of screen shots from Wolftusk to show you Coldarra... and a really REALLY big tower. And Malygos. I'm feeling disproportionately inconsequential... despite the fact that I'm starting to get recognition for my contributions to the podcast from guildies! (Woot! Minor celebrity status ftw!) What else can I say? Northrend is awesome... the zones are huge - they will seem even moreso when the majority of people gain levels and spread out a little... it seems more balanced, though... so you don't truly appreciate JUST how many people are in the zone with you... as you only ever see maybe a dozen at a time in specific areas due to how well spread out the quest-areas and quest-givers are. But gaining the levels between 70 and 80? For the "average, casual gamer", it's gonna take a while... 1.5 MILLION experience points to get to level 71. And with 'complete' quests averaging 20 thousand... it's a bit of a slog... but with determined focus, some are hammering away at the levels... I've seen some Death Knights in their 73s and 74s... and I've heard of a few 80s already in guild and outside... The best I've managed is level 71 on Bladetusk,  most of the way through 70 on Skullblade... and 74 on Wolftusk... the reason for which I will hopefully be able to share next week... I admit, I rolled a Death Knight... and it's an interesting take on things to start as a Scourge and then break free of the Lich King's grip and start down a purported 'path of redemption'... oops... was that a spoiler? First impression? DKs are WAY too overpowered. Seriously.  I've said it before... I started playing on the DK and decided to come back to playing Wolftusk (the hunter) to give myself a challenge.  (Note to all those that missed the irony: hunters are considered - as Ashayo and Aprillian have mentioned a few times on the podcast - as the 'easy button' class...) I had NO idea what I was doing in one of the first quests with the DK... I had to fight another guy (I won't spoil it by saying WHY) but all I was doing was literally button-mashing... so I'm betting I didn't even have all the tricks at my disposal... hm... come to think of it... I haven't spent any of his talent points, either... I still pasted my opponent into the ground and curb-stomped him three-ways from sunday... (I got to fight a Gnome... maybe it was pent-up aggression...) Come the next time I play, I'll do a bit of reading about the skills and put the Death Knight together properly... so I can have some REAL tanking-dps goodness! Oh... and for the record?  My opinion?  The term 'hero class' is not (I repeat NOT) because it's supposed to be bigger, badder, rougher and tougher than the other classes... it's a 'hero' class due to the story arcs and lore that surround it. So... expect a nerf as soon as enough DKs hit the battlegrounds and enough non-DK players QQ about how OP the "hero" class is. As far as lore is concerned... the Death Knight story arc feels very 'lore-intensive'... so it's something I will not be doing unless I have the time to sit back and appreciate the hard-work that went into it. Speaking of story-arcs and spoilers... there is a large quest chain in Dragonblight that you will be doing when you are around level 72-73... and though I wasn't entirely clear what was going on at the time (I sent a few queries through /gchat with mixed results) once things started HAPPENING (emphasis there... big happening) I clammed up. This is something you truly have to experience. No... I'm not gonna spill the beans and spoil it for anybody... if anyone WANTS to know about it, I'll tell them or direct them to websites (like the AIE forums for example) that have the cutscene link for anyone to see... I just don't want anyone QQing all over the place... I left my rain-gear in Zangarmarsh. All I will say about it is... THIS questline, story arc and resultant cutscene is the reason I have supported Blizzard to the exclusion of all other MMORPGs over the time I've been playing WoW. I was awe-struck for a good half-hour... and as a fellow guildie says in the forums about the scene "I forgot how to blink". Absolutely amazing. So... Oh... speaking of Q's (queues)... anyone else notice that they're gone? Last week?  I was #979 and had a huge waiting time... I felt very insignificant... this week? Not a queue to be found... it let me right in... I felt like I was on the 'A' list... A bit more... for those hunters who are lv69 and haven't yet done so... find a hunter pal that HAS tamed a rhino or tame one yourself... if only JUST to see the knockback slam talent it has... It's absolutely hilarious!  Especially when it gets a half-dozen mobs on it! Some more from Ol' Blade's Easter Egg Basket... ~ I've read somewhere that if you pickpocket a naga... there's a chance to loot 'A Shiny Dinglehopper'... though... I have to say... none of those Nagas look anything like Disney's Little Mermaid... ~ Oh... because it's an interesting quest in Stranglethorn Vale (and worth a fair chunk of xp)... and then a second set of quests in Nagrand (of course I'm referring to the Nesingwary quest chains... Ol' Nesingwary is also the target of the D.E.H.T.A quests in the Borean Tundra... and more hunting quests in Sholazar Basin (in Northrend)... this guy (and his family of hunters and friends) really gets around! Here's a little tidbit about them you may or may not have known: 'Hemet Nesingwary' is a a sort of anagram of 'Ernest Hemmingway' (there's one more 'm' in Hemmingway... but it's close enough) Hemmingway (like our pal Nesingwary in Stranglethorn Vale) was also a hunter and a writer - and one of Hemmingway's more-famous works was a book entitled 'The Green Hills of Africa'. ~ Hrm... the Blizzard employees must really like Ernest Hemmingway... there's ANOTHER reference to him... this time in Booty Bay. The fishing vendor is named 'Old Man Hemming' - a probable reference to Ernest Hemmingway and his book 'The Old Man and the Sea'. ~ And speaking of the sea... here's a bit of a mystery for you: Nat Pagle... not only does he appear in Dustwallow Marsh as the Artisan Fishing trainer... (and the questgiver that lets you eventually fish up Gahz'Ranka in Zul'Gurub)... but he ALSO appears in the credits of the game! Whoa. Is he a real person?  Hm... he must love fishing... Email 2 Hello, as always thank you for a great podcast. i was wondering if you are able to suggest or state what video settings you and/or the audience uses. i have been trying to tweak my system video card settings and also in game settings but it seems like i still only max at 30 fps, with a nvidia 8800 x2 dell xps m1730 system, i have the sli disabled and i have tried every settings. i do have some addons, the usual major ones, which some of my friends suggest that is the problem, i dont want to believe that so please prove them wrong. if you can please list all the settings that a system such as mine can be set for maximum wow enjoyment. and yes i love to hate blizzard as i love their work and hate that they pull me back in everytime!!! wrath is impressive or more, than burning crusade. i am slowly leveling and enjoying every pixel, well when im not annoyed about my low fps. thank you for any assistance. happy wowing people MO Email 3 Hey Guys, I just have to say the last show was great! It was so nice having Glanthur back even if it was for one show. I don't know if this is even possible but I think it would be great if CAW went to a three host format. I know i am probably asking the imposable but it would just be really fun. I guess if i am going to to enter your contest I should mention my alts huh, lol. Well since wrath came out I have only played two of my characters. My priest who is currently 73 whenever my fiancee is at work and can't play. And my 71 druid with her her 71 hunter when she can. Most of our time is just spent running around exploring (looking for ore since she is a miner/engineering) and working on our professions. That has been our experience so far with the expansion and I am loving every minute of it. Thanks and talk to you later Auho, Deathwing PVP

Aprillian and Ashayo discuss another week of playing World of Warcraft, Blizzard's great MMORPG. Full Show Notes at http://ctrlaltwow.com   What We Did   Aprillian   Sunday I totally reevaluated my RAF technique and realized my RAF accounts should be easy toons and the ones on my Referred account should be throw away leaving some low level to up level.  I botched up in that I should have made all hunters on the referred account.   Then I became obsessed with getting a yeti   Ran Primall and Iwari around until Primal got to 41 and got to wear mail and Iwari got to 50.  I'm not sure how many levels she  has to grant, pretty sure it's been 2 since I transferred her.  She was also able to level up Engineering and I wasted time on that. cc   Friday night I took Drame and Queaa into WC with Ardrion.  We cleared and did the last escort quest.  That was fun   Sat, back to reevaluation.  First I made a Shaman on the master account thinking I would use the lower level (10-25) to get that one up.  I realized it should be a character I  wasn't good at. and decided to get the level 40 guys to 60.  Went back to STV to finish those quests.   Ashayo   Dual-boxing herbalism - Hiide flying around Hellfire Peninsula, and Glaciuss riding (Yes, I bought him an epic mount) around Barrens and Stonetalon. Fast-paced farming!   Ashwhack, the warrior, reached level 30 ; so have my second Kodo. Having real trouble organising all the spells and abilities, and knowing when to use what during a fight (Suggestions welcome) At 30, got Beserker stance to add to the confusion. Also got the quest for a nice 2H weapon. Very tough for a 30 - have to kill a 40 elite at the end, as well as elementals in Arathi Highland, and Trolls in STV.   Ashayo raiding Gruul & Mags. Actually won some nice gloves ; similar stats to existing gloves, but have 2 gem sockets as well.   Attunement to MC on 60 Mage with some guildies in prep for raid in a couple of weeks.   Planning on running Gnomeregan next week. Rushed Rogue from 20-25 in order to get Rig Wars quest for Triprunner Dungarees ; but wasn't being offered. Need to get that quest *before* you get Chief Engineer Scooty quest?!   Emails   Email 1   Hey guys!   Blade here... In response to my last email, and subsequent episodes of Ctrl Alt Wow... I'm continuing my thread on transformations... First... Aprillian and her druid toon... now that he's past lv10 and has a free teleport to Moonglade, it should be easy to get training... simply cast the spell, run to the trainer and then hearth back to whatever place you were in before... But... There IS a Druid trainer in Silvermoon City... look at the city map (press M)... see the little patch of green just about center on the map? There's a female druid there (the only one) and she happens to be a trainer... Oh... as a complete aside... I'm NOT in the Beta... just curious enough about the stuff I've been emailing about to make a point to learn some of the best ways to get or accomplish them...   Now... on to the topic of transformation... Specifically... Ashayo mentioned he's like to know how to get the Polymorph: Pig spell for his mage... Be ready... for it is a quest chain frought with peril the likes of which... Ahh... who am I kidding... it's actually pretty easy... At level 60, go to Archmage Xylem in Azshara, he'll have a quest called 'Warlord Krellian'... basically, the Archmage has sensed another source of magic (a Prismatic Shell) and wants YOU to go and get it (and of course kill the creature that has it)... Warlord Krellian is at 41,52 in a temple... if I remember correctly, he has a single guard and is a lv55... so not terribly difficult to kill solo... Take the shell back to the Archmage (the guy that was too lazy to go get the shell himself)... and he'll give you another quest... this time to TEST the shell's magic power... Carry the shell with you and polymorph the Spitelash Nagas that you will find at the ruins below the Archmage's tower... after a few seconds, some clones will spawn... they move FAST, so as soon as you see them, drop them with a Frost Nova or Arcane Explosion... AOE the little sheeplets... the shell will collect their essences... You can even use Arcane Explosion level1... the clones die THAT easily... After 50 essences (and the completion of the quest), go back to the Archmage and he teaches you the Polymorph: Pig spell. Yeah... it's THAT easy.   Oh... here's something to whet your appetite for the upcoming expansion... MORE Polymorph variations for Mages! Specifically... Endora Moorehead (an NPC in Dalaran) will sell the Tome of Polymorph: Snake and Tome of Polymorph: Black Cat for the low, low bargain price of only 2500g each!  Be wary, though... these are rep-dependent and will be of limited quantity... so hopefully they will be BoP items to stop people from simply buying them and dropping them onto the AH at a ridiculous markup... Also... for those that will take Inscription as a profession... there will be a Glyph that will alter your Polymorph spell to produce a Penguin instead of a Sheep!   And now I'll leave you with an easter egg (as always), a future mysterious topic... and a little extra cookie! First... the easter egg... In fact... I'll put in two... In Dire Maul North, when doing a tribute run, you are required to create an ogre suit to fool one of the guards. The quest requires you to get an Ogre Tannin out of a basket; once the tannin is removed, an ogre will run down the steps yelling "It puts the tannin in the basket, or else it gets the club again!" This is a reference to the movie 'Silence of the Lambs' during a scene involving the killer and his captive. If you're not old enough to have seen this movie... ask someone about it. (See? Ol' Blade can be PC when he needs to be...)   Also... there's a ring that drops (I think it's in the Scarlet Monastery)... it's a blue... binds on equip... has some +stamina and some +attack power... but what's REALLY noteworthy is it's name... Mark of Kern. Named after... the man... the legend... the World of Warcraft Team Lead... Mark Kern!   So... as promised... (not that the more astute among you can't do a little Armory-surfing and find out this information anyway...) I've decided to reveal my server - so that you can all come and say 'hi'! Come find me on Bladetusk (or do a /who of the guild I'm in and ask for me...) The Server?  Ghostlands The Guild?  Raiders of the Lost Orc   Next week?  A Paladin ranged weapon!   As always, an awesome podcast guys!   Blade / Michael   Email #2   Hey guys!   Auho here, I have to tell you guys it has finally happened after listening to CtrlAltWow since episode 11 I have finally started a second account. I have officially stared multi-boxing as off a week ago. So far most of the time i have been doing the refer a friend with my fiancée so we can get a few more characters up into the 60's before Wrath. As soon as we calm down on that though and school eases up some (second semester of my junior year in college) I planning on creating a paladin and a shaman. I really miss my level 70 alliance paladin ever since I left him to come play horde side and a shaman because that class has always fascinated me. If it wasn't for you guys I don't think i would of had the courage to try it. Also I listened to Aprillian's interview on on How I Wow, I thought that was a very entertaining show. I thought it was very interesting how she used to play the sims online because I remember seeing it in stores but never picking it up. Also a few weeks ago Aprillian mentioned she did two podcasts ever since I have been wondering what the other one was. I know that everyone that writes in says how great you guys are and I am going to say it also. I have 30ish podcast that i download every week and there are five that i listen to for sure and then i listen to the others if i have time. And at the top of that list is CtrlAltWow!! You guys are great and I look forward to hearing you every week!!!!   Your fan Auho level 70 druid Deathwing PVP US   PS Is Glanthur going to come back, and if so are you guys going to do a three person show. That would be awesome!!!   Email 3   Hi Guys, Love the show, been listening since the glanthor days, although i've never duel-boxed (untill recently, more of that later). So i've a few comments, suggestions and tips. I'll just list them and you can use them if you want. ARK INVENTORY I'm glad that both of use are using this mod, i've used it, tried others, and come back to it. I was catching up on an old episode in which Ashayo mentioned that he missed the organisation of his individual bags. You might have figured this out by now but there is an edit feature in the top right hand corner. When you click on this some numbers will appear, the number one will show all of your bag contents, numbers 2-5 will have nothing. Click on the number two and about half way down the options you will be able to set the parameters for that slot. For example you can set section 2 to food, drink and consumables. now you can exit the bags, when you reopen the bag it should be slit in to two sections, one with food, drink and consumables and the other with the rest of your goods. I normally have lots of sections, there is an option to add more slots so you can have 8 or 9 sections. I split them up as follows 1. Quest Items - nice if you need to find a quest item to click, or handy to clear out once in a while, i'm used to carring items for 12 or 20 items which have no use to me! 2. Soulbound items - keeps track of your gear, very helpful if you have two sets (healing/dps) and also nice when you complete a bunch of quests with soul bound rewards. 3. Non-soul bound things - when you hit the AH you can pop them up there without looking through your bags. 4. Food and Drink - anything that runs out, pots etc. mana gems for my mage. 5. Grey items - i dont use a auto sell mod so when i hit a vendor i can see what i have. Also nice if your bags are full and you need to pick up a green. 6. Crafting mats - depending on your professions. You can customise this the way you like. WOTLK I've been listening to what people have been saying about their approach to the WOTLK, i guess i have a different opinion. I dont have time to do the dailies and get lots of money, i'd rather spend the time leveling alts or doing other things. I'm really not sure that you will need a lot of money. I didnt start playing WOW untill after BC came out. But was it not true that at level 60 (before BC) it was pretty hard to get the 500g required for the epic land mount. and when BC came out the hike in money from drops and quests made it a lot easier to get this gold. I guess what i'm saying is that if someone spends hours and hours doing dailies and grinding for money, are they not wasting their time, because what if the new 'standard' amount of gold from a quest reward is 25g and the dailies are bringing in 50/60g a quest? Maybe i'm just hoping this will be the case, because i'm so poor. /cry. DUEL-BOXING With the refer a friend i've had to plunge in and try a little duel boxing, and for anyone who thinks they cant do this with out a high end computer you are wrong. I play on a low end lap top, granting sometimes i get lag and all the settings are low i still get by. Another thing that i've not heard mentioned is that you can try duel-boxing, refer-a-friend style, as a 7 day trial. I find it interesting listening about the different styles of duel boxing. Here is how i'm running my two toons. Warlock/priest combo, i chose these two because they have the pet and similar spells, dots and direct damage. I have been using key clone with some success. the first thing i did was use the setting on key clone to only clone the number keys, i set up a macro on the priest (the follower) which basically was a /follow farg (name of the warlock) and another as /assist farg. i bound this macro to 0 on the hot bar, and them i set up the spells so that similar spells were on the same numbers for each toons, ie instant dot on 4, direct damage with 1.5 second cast on 3, wand on 2. As i run into combat with the main toon i'll target something, hit 0 (which does nothing on the warlock but gets the priest to target the same mob. then i can cast my spells. if things go wrong i can always alt tab and get the heals going. once i'm done i hit 0 again and the 2nd toon follows. I thing that should do it for this e-mail. from Sealla (AIE), Farg, Bulli, Koichen, Hango, and many more! Email 4   Greetings Ashayo and  /wink Aprillian,   Just finished the brewfest episodes and it always amazes me how into the game y'all are.  The point of view each of you takes is very refreshing and reminds me of how I felt when I first started playing the game.   After a long day of grinding new teams (this time through questing and not boosting in instances) I decided I'd fix myself a sandwich. But what's this there was only an enough lunch meat left for one. How can this be, whatever shall I do? After spending about 3 minutes thinking about what else I was going to eat I realized that there is only one of me, and thus no need to feed myself 4 times. This thought shocked the hell out of me. Have I really been playing WoW and multi-boxing too much? Which I guess brings me to the main point of this email, when was the first moment y'all realized WoW had taken over your lives?   Later   Nsidious

Aprillian and Ashayo discuss another week of playing World of Warcraft, Blizzard's great MMORPG. Full Show Notes at http://ctrlaltwow.com  What We've Been Doing  Aprillian  Suyna did both Warlock Quests dragging Primall around and dinging 3 levels in the process.  Tuesday ran down to Shimmering Flats with primal and suyna  And I made a druid, Drame the Druid a male Tauren. I brought in yet another bank alt, Mi a level 3 Belf Warlock male who was sitting in Undercity. Summoned him to Mulgore and got him to 6 and Drame to 5 and went to Silvermoon. A Tauren in Silvermoon is funny.  Wed Ran Drame and Mi around Eversong woods while on break and lunch at work and got them to 10.  Back there Thurs morn. Oh collected eggs while there, levelled up skinning on Mi. Since they were outmatched on these hawks, I had them use their "melee" weapon, sword on Mi and Staff on Drame. But then I realized Drame needed training he couldn't get from the Belf area, so he hearthed home, and trained and then I summoned him to TB using someone on the Master account. He did all the quests and got his Druid Bear form. It's so cute. Then I had to log off and go to work.  Friday morning decided I wanted some pairs on a pvp server, rolled two on Onyxia and realized there was no way I could do the RAF broke. Ask Ashayo about funds on a pvp server and rolled Aprillian, Dranei warrior and Dreem nelf druid on dunemaul. Summoned Dreem to the Dranei starting area. Dreem couldn't do the healing  Note: Some quest can't be shared if there is an item that has to be used.  Spent some time in Eversong Woods with Warlock and druid, brought them to RFC and then I sent Drame back to Moonglade with Quea to do some Druid quest. Man I thought Warlock quests were complicated.  Sunday night I took Suyna  Ashayo  Jekle - Heroic Sethekk Halls for Druid's epic flight form quest Asheal - Gruul's Lair  (gratz to BiP on downing Magtheridon for the 1st time!) Levelling Warrior (now 24) and Shaman in The Barrens, & Wailing Cavern  Ashayo - Gruul's Lair (Banana Hammock!) and Mags (wipefest!) Ashield - Karazahn (actually live through the Prince fight!)  Levelling Rogue lockpicking in Durnholde Keep & poisons Shaman in RFK  Mage in Sunken Temple (wiped without dying....?)  Ye olde price of twink blues!  Email 1  Evening,  Well to start off I figured might as well point out that a fel hunter IS the same thing as a fel hound. Now on to my topic and sorry if this letter turns into a very long TLDR post (that's To Long Didn't Read btw). So I can't believe how much I've fallen for Aprillian. Considering when I first heard her it sounded like she always was eating a piece of candy while doing the show (which maybe that is the case) but at any rate I've come to enjoy hearing her lovely/weird accent. What really sealed the deal for me was the evil laugh on episode 78. It was soooooo cute and endearing it made me wish she wasn't married.  On a quick side note: If y'all or anyone for that matter is wanting to get the most out of RAF and have multiple toons to 60 in the shortest time possible, then boosting in instances using a 70 that isn't linked to any of the RAF accounts would be the fastest way to 60. I must stress the fact that none of the accounts can be linked to the 70 or it will not receive the xp bonus. I was able to get all 4 of my locks to 60 in a about 1 day 10 hours of /played time using my 70 rogue and most of that time was actually me setting up macros. Most multi-boxers from dual-boxing.com have done it in less than a day of /played time.  The basic gist of this method is simply to use a AoE style class such as a mage or pallie to pull the entire instance or must of it in 1-3 pulls (in which case it takes on avg 10-15 minutes to run the instance). A warrior can also pull this method off using whirlwind and cleave to burn the mobs. Of course any 70 can do this as my 70 rogue was able to run every old world zone without any problems. As you get high in zone it might become a bit more difficult to pull such a huge portion of the zone depending on your gear level if you don't have a class that can kill multiple mobs at the same time (not sure if it's a good point of ref. but my rogue has most of his T6 set minus 3 items). I won't list the best order to do the instance to max the xp gain but I will give a hint. Once you are able to enter strat, scholo, etc skip over strat and use the first 3 rooms of scholo for the boosting. Don't go any farther into the zone. So just kill the baddies on the bridge, the following 3 rooms then reset. Rinse and repeat.  Anyway I had more I was going to say but decided since I'm at work and all I might should try to get something productive done.  Team Dip n Dots  4 warlocks – level 62 (Twisting Nether – RPPVP)  Incredulity  Increduilty  Increduility  Incrediulty  Main  Nsidious – 70 undead rogue  Email 2  Hello Aprillian & Ashayo,  I have been playing WOW since April (no pun intended) and I love it. I have just discovered podcasts about WOW and I truly enjoy your show. It is obvious from listening that you both find the same entertainment that I do from World of Warcraft.  I have 3 alliance characters in the Norgannon PvE realm (sorry about the alliance thing, I didn't know any better). My main (Ultyr) is a human, level 45 warrior. I also have a level 27, night elf hunter, and a human, level 30 paladin. All are in the Holy Crusaders guild.  I have recently made more of an effort to try battlegrounds in the hopes of accumulating enough honor for the high level blue & purple gear from champions hall. My concern is that the honor points come so slowly. My question is this, is the champions hall gear so vastly superior to gear from questing and instances that it is worth the time investment?  I would greatly appreciate any incite you can provide.  p.s.  Someone pulled the battleground "AFK" trick on me too, but they did it during the battle so I knew it was bogus.  Game Well,  Ultyr
