This week, Dudley and David Holland take a closer look at what comes next in the story of redemption—diving deep into the Second Coming of Christ, the purpose of the church, and the true mission believers are called to fulfill. Together, they contrast New Covenant Theology with popular End Times views shaped by dispensationalism, offering a more hope-filled vision of Christ's current rule and reign. They explore key themes like spiritual warfare, the progressive expansion of God's kingdom, and how the gospel is meant to transform systems, not escape them. With clarity and conviction, they unpack Psalm 110, the Great Commission, and the joy of living led by the Spirit. Get Dudley's Weekly Word delivered right to your inbox every Friday! This time on ScaleUp Radio I speak with David Holland, the owner of Exela.   Exela is a Marketing business that is based in Cheltenham. David started it 22 years ago and helps gritty entrepreneurs develop their marketing to bring in the leads for their sales process through using different tools.   What is interesting in David's discussion about marketing is while Exela uses technology to aid their clients, the key is always in the skill of ‘driving interaction', which is at the heart of all human connection since time began.   As always, we cover a lot of ground, including:    - Marketing is an experiment to find what works.  - You will need more than just one marketing stream.  - Technology like AI is a tool to speed things up, but the hard work of thinking still needs to be done.   What I enjoyed so much about this conversation with David is how much marketing is nothing new, has always been going on and how people who think they can just ‘Buy' a solution will never be successful.    As a business owner while you can outsource the task of marketing, you must own it to be truly successful.   I know that you'll get a lot out of this episode.   David can be found here: linkedin.com/in/david-holland-uk https://exela.co.uk/ assist@exela.co.uk     Resources   Keap - https://keap.com/   The Sales Circuit by David Holland - https://www.waterstones.com/book/the-sales-circuit/david-holland/9781838190200   How To Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Carnegie - https://www.waterstones.com/book/how-to-win-friends-and-influence-people/dale-carnegie/9780091906818   Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink - https://www.waterstones.com/book/extreme-ownership/jocko-willink/9781250183866   E-Myth Master by Michael E Gerber - https://www.waterstones.com/book/e-myth-mastery/michael-e-gerber/9780060723231   Profit First by Michael Michalowicz - https://www.waterstones.com/book/profit-first/mike-michalowicz/9780735214149   Surge by Michael Michalowicz - https://mikemichalowicz.com/surge/   Dan Sullivan - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-gap-and-the-gain/id1579693186   Peter Diamandis podcast - https://www.diamandis.com/podcast   Google Suites - https://workspace.google.com/   Scaling up your business isn't easy, and can be a little daunting. The translation of these plates became The Book of Mormon, a sacred text revered by members of the Latter-Day Saint movement, often known as Mormons. The Book of Mormon is a text with many similarities to the Bible. But it emerged in a very different context—19th century America. David Holland is a renowned climate scientist who recently returned from the Thwaites Glacier in Antarctica. He works in close partnership with his wife, Denise Holland, who is his manager of field and logistics. Fascinated by the Arctic since his childhood in Newfoundland and Labrador, he discusses what we know—and don't yet know—about the warming of the oceans and its threat to humankind; his shuttling between teaching and research in urban centers and intensive fieldwork in some of the most beautiful and dangerous regions of the world; and the politicization of climate science as vast changes become more of a reality. Holland is an esteemed global scientist—recently made a fellow of the American Geophysical Union—who has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers in the field of polar environmental science. At NYU, he is professor of mathematics and atmosphere/ocean science at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences; director of the Environmental Fluid Dynamics Laboratory in New York City; and director of the Center for Sea Level Change at NYU Abu Dhabi.

South Africa's capital markets are in a state of existential crisis. Yes, there is a global trend towards fewer listed companies with the rise of private markets but in South Africa the delisting deluge is acute. 25 companies delisted from the JSE in 2021, with just seven new listings in the same period. This year we are heading towards that number again and we are mid-way into the second quarter….The flotation of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) has been pushed out to Q3 and would be the biggest on the JSE since at least 2016 and a major boost for the flagging index. It's a complex issue that requires us to correctly identify the root causes of the problems in order to address them swiftly and incentivise the roleplayers to act accordingly if we are to turn things around for local investors, savers and pensioners. And was a key issue during the Johannesburg Securities Exchange AGM held yesterday. To discuss this Michael Avery joined by Dr Leila Fourie, CEO of the JSE; Chris Logan of Opportune Investments and David Holland of Fractal Value Advisors

Do you need a business coach in your business' co-pilot seat? Making Conversations about business co-pilots Count! "There's a danger of, of focusing on the stuff... the accoutrements of life and the big fancy cars and that sort of thing..." David Holland, Making Conversations Count - (April 2022) Psst! Low on data? Here's a lower bandwidth version for you. This week's conversation about business coaches/co-pilots with David Holland; If you're like most business owners, you're working hard every day to make your business a success. But sometimes it can be tough to see the wood from the trees, especially when you're so close to your own business. This is where a business co-pilot can be invaluable. In this week's episode of "Making Conversations Count", we speak with David Holland about the value of having a co-pilot in your business. David is a successful entrepreneur who has learned how to see the big picture and help businesses achieve their goals. With the help of David Holland, you'll learn: How David's desire to design the perfect life led to his becoming a business coach 'Stuff' is not the answer (fast cars, beaches etc) How a business coach can help and how business coaches want to help How you can seriously gain in life by just giving away your most precious possession! David's proudest achievement as a business coach The pivotal conversation he had on a train which changed his life Want to read more in depth info about the episode? A poignant moment from the episode: Wendy Harris: I do honestly, I do, I work to live.  This is something else that business owners get embroiled in the, "It's my business and it's personal".  This has come up with lots of previous guests that switching off is really hard, so whilst you've got your time in the diary as three days a week, it doesn't stop you from thinking about it. David Holland: Absolutely not, and this is why it's so important to do something that we love doing.  I'm working with clients and doing the workshop on the three days a week.   When it comes to the Friday and we're digging the garden or something, it doesn't mean you're not thinking about it, it's always there.  We treat our business as a person, another entity, another person in the family.  We talk to the business, we liaise with the business, we're thinking about them as we go along.  That's absolutely fine, but that's why I think it's really important to choose something that you enjoy doing.  We didn't enjoy running a transport recruitment business, we just weren't made for it. This, we are, therefore it's not a job really.  I would never say this to my clients, well I might do, but I would do this if I didn't get paid.  We do that to run everything else, but I actually enjoy what I do.  I enjoy speaking with people, supporting them in all that we do and I don't mind if I think about it seven days a week, it's all part of the fun.
