https://wels2.blob.core.windows.net/daily-devotions/20260806dev.mp3 Listen to Devotion Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Ephesians 1:3 Blessings That Never Run Out The Bible tells us that Jesus once fed a crowd of more than five thousand people with just five loaves of bread and two fish. He multiplied that little lunch until everyone ate and was satisfied. It was a marvelous gift. But consider this: the next morning, every one of those people woke up hungry again. That is the nature of earthly blessings. Food fills us for a few hours. Paychecks are spent. Health, as we all eventually learn, fades. Even the happiest earthly gifts—family, friendships, home—are ours for a lifetime at most. We thank God for all of them, but none of them lasts forever. That is what makes the apostle Paul’s words so remarkable. He praises God for blessing us “in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” Notice what he says. Not some blessings, but every blessing. Not stored far away, but already given to us. And these gifts are not kept in a pantry or a bank account, where moths destroy and markets crash. They are kept in the heavenly realms, beyond the reach of anything that could take them away. What blessings are these? Through faith in Jesus, you have the forgiveness of all your sins. You have peace with God. You are adopted as his dear child. The Holy Spirit lives in you and there is an inheritance in heaven with your name on it. Nothing on earth—not inflation, not illness, not even death itself—can drain that account. Christ earned every bit of it for you, and God has signed it all over to you in your baptism. So enjoy your daily bread with thanksgiving; it is a gift from your Father’s hand, new every morning. But your greatest treasures are not on the table or in the bank. They are in Christ—forgiveness, peace, and life that never ends. The child of God is rich beyond counting, today and eternally. Prayer: Praise to you, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for blessing me with every spiritual blessing in your Son. Keep my heart treasuring what can never be taken away. Amen. Tom Logue - May 31st 2026 What if you've accepted the invitation... but you're still missing the banquet? Jesus tells a surprising story about people who said "yes" to the King, yet never actually came. Others were invited in from the streets, while one guest was thrown out for refusing what the King freely provided. So who really belongs in the kingdom of heaven? And what if the greatest danger isn't rejection of Jesus—but refusing to let Him change you? BIBLE STUDY| MIRACLES OF JESUS SERIES.|THE FIFTH MIRACLE OF JESUS pt.23| THE POWER OF RETREAT|JESUS WALKING ON WATER| CHIMDI OHAHUNA Theme: PRAYER – To Declare This session explores prayer as declaration: a vocal, public, faith-filled act that praises God, enforces His will, and presents our case before Him. Grounded in the Hebrew term nâgad, this episode reframes prayer from private wish-list to bold testimony, an active witness that calls attention to God's name, works, and praise. Expect scriptural teaching, practical application, and encouragement to make your testimony an ongoing instrument of faith and miracle expectation. Key Highlights - Definition in Hebrew — nâgad explained as “stand boldly out opposite; to manifest; to announce by word of mouth; to expose, predict, explain, praise, rehearse, report, shew forth, speak, tell, utter.” - Threefold use of Declare in Prayer — Praise, Enforce God's will, Present your case. - Primary emphasis — Declaration is primarily praise to God and His works, not a catalogue of personal requests. - Vocal Testimony — Declaring is spoken and public; testimony is prayer in action and secures the miracle received. - Practical posture — Action matters more than position; the act of declaring and testifying fuels faith for present challenges. - Scriptural anchors — Psalm 75:9; 96:3; 121; 107:22; 145:4,6; Isaiah 12:9; Isaiah 42:12; Hebrews 13:8. Study Lessons 1. What It Means to Declare - Give praise to God: The largest portion of declaration is praise—naming God and recounting His works. - Enforce the will of God: Speak God's purposes into situations that oppose His plan. - Present your case before God: Bring needs and circumstances before the Lord with confidence and clarity. 2. The Hebrew Term nâgad - Nâgad carries the idea of standing out boldly and announcing by word of mouth. Declaration is therefore an outward, audible act that manifests God's reality to people and spiritual forces. 3. What to Declare from Scripture and Experience - Declare the name of the LORD. - Declare His works, glory, wonders, praises, mighty acts, greatness, and doings. - Be sensitive to what God is doing so your declarations align with His present work. - Remember Hebrews 13:8—declare the praise-worthiness of Christ who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 4. Testimony as Prayer at Work - When God moves, testify, do not merely verify. Testimony is a living prayer that confirms God's activity and becomes a platform for future miracles. - Rehearse past testimonies to fuel faith for current challenges; testimony never grows stale while you remain living proof. 5. Practical Guidance - Make declarations vocal and visible, speak them aloud, rehearse them, and share them as witness. - Focus declarations on God's character and deeds, not primarily on personal wish lists. - Position is secondary; the action of declaring is what shifts spiritual dynamics. Beloved, stand boldly, speak plainly, and let your voice be a continual witness to God's greatness. Declaration is praise in motion; when you declare, you both honor God and position yourself for fresh demonstrations of His mercy and power. Psalm 96 is a joyful invitation that resounds across the earth, calling every person, tribe, and nation to worship the Lord. It begins with the words, “Sing to the Lord a new song,” and continues by urging all creation to proclaim His glory among the nations. Worship in this Psalm is not confined to one people or one place. It is a universal summons to acknowledge the greatness, beauty, and authority of the one true God who made the heavens and rules with perfect righteousness. The Psalmist's vision looks forward to the day when all the families of the earth will bow before the Lord and rejoice in His coming to judge the world in truth. This vision finds its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Through His life, death, and resurrection, the good news of salvation has gone out to all nations, inviting every heart to worship the Lord in spirit and truth. Psalm 96 reminds us that our songs of praise join a global chorus of believers who confess that Jesus is Lord. Worshipping God with the Psalms is both our present joy and our eternal destiny in Christ.Prayer and Praise Thanksgiving ServiceSeries: Worship SeriesSpeaker: Pastor David Hallett
In this follow-up teaching, Minister Catherine shows why prayer and praise are inseparable—and how they move us from tears to testimony. With relatable stories and biblical insight, she teaches that prayer isn't a “gift” some have; it's a Spirit-formed discipline we all develop (Luke 11:1; Col. 4:2). Praise then accelerates prayer, shifting our focus from the problem to God's answer (Phil. 4:6; 1 Thess. 5:17–18).You'll learn to:Depend on God in humility (Prov. 3:5–6; 2 Chron. 7:14)Pray for spiritual growth and transformation (Jude 20; Col. 1:9–10)Lay hold of God's promises and inheritance (Matt. 6:11; Heb. 4:16)Engage in warfare and intercession (Eph. 6:12,18; Ezek. 22:30)Praise as an act of faith and part of our purpose (Ps. 42:11; Isa. 43:21)Center stage is Hannah (1 Sam. 1): after years of pain, she aligns her desire with God's will, prays fervently, worships before seeing results—and “the Lord remembered her.” Her story calls us to move from crying to praying, praising, and partnering with God's purposes.Listen and declare: “Not my will but Yours—teach me to pray, and I will praise as I wait.”Key Scriptures: Phil. 4:6; 1 Thess. 5:17–18; Luke 11:1; Col. 4:2; 1 Sam. 1.
Prayer, praise, and worship are essential practices that position our hearts for transformation. While we often think prayer is about changing our circumstances, its true power lies in changing us from within. God is always speaking, but many struggle to hear His voice because they've closed their ears to His guidance. These spiritual disciplines help us show mercy, open our spiritual ears, and soften our hearts. Rather than passive activities, prayer and worship require intentional effort—they're both work and warfare that lead to lasting heart transformation.
