George Schultze shares his market outlook, suggesting the current bull run could have legs beyond its 3-year anniversary. Schultze expects the Fed to cut rates again, potentially 25 basis points, and sees more cuts on the horizon for 2026. Despite concerns about stagflation, he's focusing on post-distress equities like Shell (SHEL), MBIA Inc. (MBI), and Flagstar (FLG), which he believes are undervalued and have catalysts driving them towards fair value. Schultze also likes gold as a hedge against inflation and market uncertainty, even at current record highs.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. Joseph Schultze's life looked nothing like the path that would eventually lead him toward prison. Growing up in Binghamton, New York, he had a loving home — but also parents battling cocaine addiction. Forced to take care of them while still a teenager, Joseph dropped out of high school and developed crippling anxiety. A car accident became the turning point that pulled him into painkillers, harder drugs, and a spiral of crime that racked up multiple larceny charges. Facing years behind bars, Joseph took a chance on New York's infamous shock program — a grueling alternative to prison designed to break inmates down physically and mentally. #AddictionRecovery #PrisonStories #ShockProgram #OvercomingAddiction #TrueCrimePodcast #AddictionAwareness #LifeAfterPrison #RecoveryJourney Hosted, Executive Produced & Edited By Ian Bick: https://www.instagram.com/ian_bick/?hl=en https://ianbick.com/ Get 50% off the Magic Mind offer here: https://www.magicmind.com/IANB50. #magicmind #mentalwealth #mentalperformance Presented by Tyson 2.0 & Wooooo Energy: https://tyson20.com/ https://woooooenergy.com/ Use code LOCKEDIN for 20% OFF Wooooo Energy Buy Merch: http://www.ianbick.com/shop Timestamps: 00:00 Introduction & Early Addiction 00:50 Meet Joe: Hometown and Upbringing 02:00 Parents' Punk Rock Past & Family Struggles 04:04 Childhood Stories 07:00 Parents' Arrest 09:45 Family History & Normalcy Amidst Chaos 12:26 Dreams for the Future & Sports 13:51 Struggles in School and Dropping Out 14:44 Hitting Rock Bottom in High School 17:17 The GED, New School, and Finding Purpose 18:35 Early Jobs & Anxiety Takes Over 19:37 Battling Severe Anxiety and Isolation 21:18 Emerging from Anxiety 22:26 Family Crises and New Responsibilities 23:54 Balancing Business, Love, and Parental Care 27:32 Becoming a Parent: Breaking the Cycle? 32:30 The Accident That Changed Everything 36:56 Raising a Daughter 40:40 Understanding His Parents 42:58 Losing Prescription Access 45:39 Descent Into Heroin and Selling Possessions 47:59 From Using to Dealing & Living the Fast Life 52:40 Boosting: Shoplifting to Survive 57:07 Life of Boosting: Escalation and Arrests 01:04:04 Legal Trouble: Juggling Charges and Addiction 01:11:49 The Downward Spiral: High-Speed Chases & More Crime 01:18:19 Identity Theft & First Long Jail Stint 01:26:32 Jail, Withdrawal, and Hitting Bottom 01:36:08 Back to the Streets: Meth, Cars & Escalation 01:42:17 Caught Again: The End of Bonnie & Clyde 01:44:55 State Time: Programs & Military Boot Camp 01:56:41 Shock Program: Getting Broken Down to Build Up 02:08:08 Completing Shock & The Path to Recovery 02:13:13 Staying Sober, Rebuilding Life & Family 02:20:00 Lessons Learned & Final Thoughts 02:25:52 Outro & Gratitude Powered by: Just Media House : https://www.justmediahouse.com/ Creative direction, design, assets, support by FWRD: https://www.fwrd.co Learn more about your ad choices.

Last summer we were lucky enough to attend the European Congress of Mathematics (ECM) in Seville, Spain. The Congress sees the award of several prestigious prizes, including the Otto Neugebauer Prize for the History of Mathematics. In this episode of Maths on the Move we talk to this year's winner of the Otto Neugebauer Prize, Reinhard Siegmund-Schultze, who has worked on and written about mathematicians who fled Nazi Germany. Reinhard tells us about the motivation for his work, how the Nazi regime impacted mathematics and mathematicians, and what future historians might say about the mathematics of today. This content was produced with kind support from the London Mathematical Society.

Are you ready to follow your joy and trust your inner voice? Lenka Schultze shows how intuition leads the way.In today's episode, you will learn from Lenka Schulze, a Spiritual Guide, Author, and Educator. Lenka Schultze shares her unique journey of growing up in a communist regime, which she believes allowed her to be an “empty vessel” free from religious constraints, leading her to explore spirituality through her own experiences.Throughout this episode, Lenka emphasizes that intuition is not a mystical gift reserved for a few, but an innate sense that everyone has, much like sight or hearing. She explains intuition as our "first sense," present from birth, and not something we need to acquire, but rather something we must relearn to trust and cultivate. She describes the different levels of intuition, from survival-based instincts to a universal consciousness that connects individuals to their higher purpose. Her intuitive journey, she notes, has been about following her inner knowing rather than external teachings, which she refers to as “back engineering” her understanding through lived experience rather than study alone.Plus, she emphasizes the importance of trusting oneself and one's inner voice in navigating life, as well as staying grounded by tuning into the present moment.Tune in to Episode 180 of the Joy Found Here reconnect with your intuition and find joy by following your inner voice. In This Episode, You Will Learn:Growing up as an empty vessel: Lenka's journey from a communist regime (03:16)The nature of intuition: Your first sense, not your sixth (11:17)Levels of intuition: From survival instincts to universal consciousness (17:31)Following joy: The path to purpose and intuitive living (24:18)Trusting yourself: How intuition guides us through deception (27:04)Grounding in a noisy world: Simple practices to stay present (33:47)Connect with Lenka Schulze Ph.D.:WebsiteInstagramXGet Lenka's book!Let's Connect:WebsiteInstagram Hosted on Acast. Soot is perhaps the most complex product of combustion, and at the same time one of the most profound for our everyday fire safety engineering. The topic of soot is not getting much love in the world of fire science, so I've chosen to give you a broad introduction to this subject. In this episode of fire fundamentals we will go through:· Soot creation from chemical perspective;· Soot creation from practical perspective;· Soot effects on radiation, toxicity and obscuration;· Extinction coefficient and specific extinction coefficient;· Soot yield and surrogate value of soot yield for complex fuels. If you would like to follow up on this episode with some reading, I highly recommend:· Bart Merci and Tarek Beji book „Fluid Mechanics Aspects of Fire and Smoke Dynamics in Enclosures”· Jose Torero lecture “Prof. Jose Torero - Fire: A Story of Fascination, Familiarity and Fear” available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIY0litILRA&t=2082s· W. In this episode of Experiments that Changed Fire Science we cover T. Jin's experiments on the visibility in smoke – two experiments carried out in 1970 and 1971 in Japan that truly changed the way how we model fires and how we design fire safety in our buildings. This episodes presents my recollection of Jin's experiments, based on the published work – the seminal paper at the IAFSS in 1997 (https://publications.iafss.org/publications/fss/5/3/view/fss_5-3.pdf) and the original material published in Japanese in 1970 and 1971:Jin, T. (1970). Visibility through Fire Smoke (I). Bulletin of the Fire Prevention Society of Japan, 19(2).Jin, T. (1971). Visibility through Fire Smoke (II). Bulletin of the Fire Prevention Society of Japan, 21(1).In the episode, I highlight the technical details of the experiments and their potential impact on the findings. I also present the overall model proposed by Jin, indicating the variables that influence it, and my recollection of how this model was implemented in modern fire safety engineering.Further readings to this would be some of my papers:Węgrzyński, W., & Vigne, G.
