El Gobierno de Aragón ha confirmado la presencia de gripe aviar en los cadáveres de aves silvestres localizados en distintos puntos de la Aragón, especialmente en la laguna de Gallocanta, donde los agentes de protección de la naturaleza han encontrado más de 250 grullas muertas.  Además de en la laguna de Gallocanta, donde se concentran estos días más de 7.000 grullas, se han detectado aves muertas en el entorno del embalse de La Sotonera y en las comarcas de Cinco Villas, Aranda, Bajo Aragón y Comunidad de Calatayud. A pesar de no haber detectado ningún caso en explotaciones ganaderas, la directora General de Calidad y Seguridad Alimentaria, Aitziber Lanza, ha mantenido una reunión con los principales productores del sector en la Comunidad para informarles de la situación y del protocolo de actuación. En un día en el que, gracias a las últimas lluvias caídas en las últimas horas, los cerealistas de la provincia de Teruel han podido comenzar de forma generalizada con las siembras de otoño – invierno y en el que la cooperativa de Magallón ha dado inicio a la nueva campaña de oliva 2025-26 en la Olivera de Magallón. Aitziber Lanza, directora general de Calidad y Seguridad Alimentaria del Gobierno de Aragón, mantenía esta mañana una reunión con representantes del sector avícola aragonés con el objetivo de actualizar las medidas de prevención y protocolos de actuación frente a la gripe aviar. La CHE cierra el año hidrológico. Miguel García Vera, jefe de planificación de la CHE, ha destacado que 2024 cierra como un buen año hidrológico. La DO Aceite del Bajo Aragón celebra 25 años con una cosecha que espera alcanzar los 8 millones de litros.

Según el pediatra Antonio Iofrio de Arce, miembro del Comité Asesor de Vacunas de la Asociación Española de Pediatría, esta medida es fundamental para prevenir contagios y proteger a los menores ya que los niños son considerados grandes contagiadores pasajeros de la gripe, ya que pueden expulsar grandes cantidades de virus y contagiar a otros, especialmente a familiares y compañeros de colegio. "los niños cuando cogen la gripe empiezan a contagiar antes y una vez que han terminado con la enfermedad siguen contagiando el virus a los que están a su alrededor", afirma Iofrío.La Asociación Española de Pediatría recomienda ampliar la vacunación hasta los 17 años para prevenir la gripe y reducir la transmisión del virus. Se pretende que prácticamente entre esta semana y la próxima estén prácticamente vacunados todos los niños de los colegios mediante la vacuna intranasal. "Esta vacuna es muy cómoda porque viene ya con una jeringa cargada que tiene un tope. Con ese tope se administra la mitad de la dosis en una fosa nasal y la otra mitad en la otra fosa nasal. El proceso es muy rápido", afirma Iofrío.

Tras la experiencia de 2024 en 29 colegios, este año se ha ampliado la campaña escolar de vacunación a 127 centros educativos para niños de Primero, Segundo y Tercero de Infantil. La directora general de Salud Pública, Nuria Gayán, ha destacado que el objetivo es llegar al máximo posible de colegios  y que la vacunación en los centros escolares ayuda a la conciliación familiar.

Sanidad ha confirmado el brote de gripe aviar que causó la muerte de las aves en Sevilla y ya hay once focos activos en Andalucía. Espacios públicos como la Plaza de España o el Real Alcázar han cerrado de forma temporal, por lo que se mantiene activado el protocolo habitual. Manuel Fernández Zurbarán, director general de Salud Pública de la Junta de Andalucía, ha asegurado en el informativo '24 Horas de RNE' que no están preocupados porque "la transmisión de ave a humanos se produce de manera muy rara, muy ocasional".Sobre el procedimiento en estos casos, Francisco Moreno, secretario general UPA Córdoba, ha explicado que "dependiendo de la gravedad, lo primero que se hace es establecer el protocolo, aislar la granja y, si fuera necesario, sacrificar a todas las aves", pero, sobre todo, hace un llamamiento a la tranquilidad. Aunque, algo que preocupa es la posible llegada del virus a las puertas del Parque Nacional de Doñana, un ecosistema que alberga una diversidad única en Europa.
