We're back with another episode of Glory Days of Gold, the East Fife and Scottish football podcast. After a horrible set of results this year made it feel that East Fife were throwing the Scottish League 2 title away, a weekend of perfect results now have the black and gold controlling their own destiny with two games to go. East Fife's win over Stirling Albion and Peterhead's capitulation at Elgin leaves the Methil men knowing that two wins to end the season and they will be crowned champions. Doug, Gordon, Aaron, and Andrew are back to look at the rollercoaster ride that's been the last three weeks of matches, look ahead to Saturday's massive and potentially title-deciding game at Peterhead, and chat about the club's Chairman and Vice-Chairman both stepping down.

We're back with another episode of Glory Days of Gold, the East Fife and Scottish football podcast recorded across two continents! A loss to Stirling Albion had cut East Fife's lead at the top of Scottish League 2 to just a single point, but a win at Clyde and some help elsewhere leaves the men from Methil three clear, with a far superior goal difference to anyone else, and just eight games to go. Michael, Doug, Gordon, and Andrew are back to chat about the last fortnight of action and what lies ahead down the stretch. Is another championship coming East Fife's way and will it be an underachieving season if there isn't?

Stuart McLaren is a Scottish-Australian football player and coach, who is currently assistant coach for the Northern Ireland national women's team. As a player Queensland Roar signed McLaren on a short-term contract in early November 2005. He was signed due to Josh McCloughlan's injury, playing as a defender as he did when he was a former player-coach with the Brisbane Strikers in the NSL in Australia. He was then signed as a permanent player and regularly played in the starting eleven, occasionally captaining the Queensland Roar. McLaren left Australia in early 2011 returning to the United Kingdom to be nearer his place of birth with his family. In June 2011, he was appointed as head of Football at the world renowned Loughborough University in England. Following a very successful stint in British University Sport, McLaren began his journey in mens professional football when he was appointed manager of Stirling Albion in November 2014, where he experienced relegation from Scottish League One at the end of the 2014–15 season. He left Stirling Albion by mutual consent in September 2016, following a 4–0 defeat by Elgin City. In October 2018, McLaren was appointed by the Scottish Football Association to be a national youth team coach, with responsibility for the Scotland U16 team. McLaren was appointed interim manager of the Scotland women's national football team in January 2021 where he remained in the role until the appointment of permanent manager Pedro Martinez Losa at the end of 2021. In January 2022, one of the legacy football clubs from Glasgow, Scotland called on him. Celtic announced McLaren had joined them as their under-18s manager. He is here to share all that experience and knowledge with aspiring coaches and to offer strength and support to people already in the industry.

As yet another top flight manager loses his job, the team ask if the panic button is being pushed too hastily these days. BT Sport's Andrew Slaven is joined by West Ham video producer Laura Brannan and football editor Findlay Marks for yet another week of the biggest, the best and the downright ugliest stories across Scottish football.Eight Premiership managers have been sacked so far this season, with Callum Davidson the latest to depart St Johnstone. But is it justified?Meanwhile, Dunfermline manager James McPake joins the team to reflect on not only winning the League One title but also how he's grown as a manager a year on from being hastily let go himself, from Dundee.Who actually wants to host Euro 2028? The SFA unfortunately. They seem happy with Hampden being the only Scottish stadium as the UK and Ireland "dangerously join forces" with a bid to host the tournament. And is it socially acceptable to listen to the football on the radio when you're at a wedding? We're asking all the important questions this week.RUNNING ORDER  00:42 - PART 1 - News & Funnies: Jurgen Klinsmann in Kilmarnock, hating on the Team GB Euro 2028 bid, and listening to 'Open All Mics' at a wedding.   15:58 - PART 2 - Sacking Managers: As Callum Davidson became the eighth manager to lose his job in the top flight this season, we ponder if managers are getting enough time in the job these days. 26:52 - PART 3 - SPFL Round-up: Dundee United are coming in to form at just the right time, Stirling Albion are tantalisingly close to League Two glory, and does anyone actually want to win the Championship?  33:38 - PART 4 - James McPake: In a hugely candid interview, Dunfermline boss James McPake chats to us about his side's title win, the ignominy of getting the sack, and why he's loving life in Fife.    GET IN TOUCH:• follow us on Twitter• follow Andrew Slaven on Twitter• follow Laura Brannan on Twitter• follow Findlay Marks on Twitter

In a week when two lower league titles could be wrapped up, things are far from settled in the top two divisions.    BT Sport's Andrew Slaven, West Ham producer Laura Brannan and football filmmaker Findlay Marks break down the latest chaos across all four Scottish  divisions.    Hearts have sacked manager Robbie Neilson after six defeats in seven games, while Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin earned his first win in charge, with a huge result in the relegation battle.    Motherwell are on fire on the pitch, but a national newspaper had fans in a panic when they reported the wrong Mark McGhee would be taking on the vacant CEO role.    Elsewhere, Queen's Park are getting stage fright, Partick Thistle are scoring for fun and could this be a record-breaking year for the team that wins the Championship?    Dunfermline are closing in on winning the League One trophy, and we're joined by The Total Soccer Show's Graham Ruthven ahead of Stirling Albion's imminent League Two title win.    RUNNING ORDER  00:31 - PART 1 - News & Funnies: Mark McGhee heading to Motherwell!
