The two John's are joined by a few guests who return in the shape of Davie Irons, Paul from the SFSA and Marc. Alan and Grant join us too in a podcast that has some questions and some statements too. We look back at predictions made at the start of the season and whether we are sticking or twisting. Most predictions look like being not far off but we'll see what happens at the end of the season. Will Kilmarnock get back on track and win the league? Will Morton get a manager in who can get them going at home? The chat leads to League One and in particular, Alan's team Falkirk who have had an indifferent season which led to Paul Sheerin leaving. A new manager is in with Kenny Miller joining as assistant. Alan says he is optimistic that there is a change of fortune while Stirling Albion fan Marc is like a kid at Christmas who has got whatever the best present is that year. There is really interesting discussion on fan ownership, sustainability of football in Scotland, challenges in management as Davie gives us an insight in to the use of what goes on behind the scenes and the use of social media by players. The podcast concludes with a bumper edition of our Lower League predictions game where we go up against Ally Graham every week. We kick off the show by talking about what's been going on recently and the hope that Scottish football is back soon in some way. Ally talks about his coaching career and how much he enjoys being involved in the game. There are career highlights from his time at the likes of Albion Rovers, Ayr United, Raith Rovers and Stirling Albion. We hear some interesting negotiating tactics from a certain manager who paid for Ally's summer holiday. Some fantastic stories from winning a major trophy with Raith and playing against the legendary Bayern Munich. The quickfire stuff is terrific but we're a bit concerned by poogate. Ally picks a best eleven of some top players that has some top internationals in it. All in all, he's a great guest and we hope to have him back on in the future.

We're one John down this week but Krys is back. We start off with a special tribute to Lisbon Lions Billy McNeill and Stevie Chalmers, who lost their lives to dementia this week. The tribute features interviews with former Celtic player Billy Stark and Broadcaster Ally Begg, who was a presenter on Celtic TV. The topic moves nicely onto Premiership action and it was fitting that Celtic's No.5 scored the only goal of the game on 67 minutes to claim victory over Kilmarnock, which takes them to within a point of the title. Rangers clinched second with an easy win at home to Aberdeen, whilst the Edinburgh derby ended in a 1-1 draw. At the bottom, Dundee look doomed after a last minute loss to Motherwell, whilst both St Mirren and Hamilton snatched late draws to move them closer to safety, though one will end up in the Premiership playoffs. Ross County sealed Championship promotion in style, Falkirk need a minor miracle to avoid dropping out of the Division whilst Queen of the South, Alloa and Partick Thistle are still fighting to avoid the bottom two places. In League One, Montrose kept their ambitions of back-to-back promotions alive by securing a playoff place. It's a straight shootout between Brechin and Stenhousemuir to avoid automatic relegation, Barry Smith's side need a win or they will suffer consecutive relegations. Peterhead missed out on clinching League Two by conceding a 93rd minute goal to Stirling Albion, whilst Clyde kept up their slim chances of clinching the title with victory over Queens Park. Albion Rovers completed the great escape with an emphatic win over Berwick Rangers, who are consigned to the playoff to avoid dropping out of the SPFL set up. They are likely to face Cove Rangers, who won 2-1 in East Kilbride in the first leg of the League Two playoff. Tweet us @sffpodcastFacebook - Scottish Football ForumsInstagram - sffpodcast

Celtic played PSG and got off to a great start but after that it was shooty in from PSG. Their week got better with their cup win against Motherwell. It's the two John's as unfortunately Krys has some technical issues and can't make it. Both charity bets were sadly unsuccessful though we weren't far away with the treble. After the chat last week about Gordon Strachan, it was confirmed last Thursday that he wouldn't be continuing as Scotland manager. Will we go for someone a wee bit different next in terms of a foreign manager? That is discussed with ex Italian boss Cesare Prandelli being mentioned. Plenty to talk about in the Premiership with Rangers continuing their fine away form. Aberdeen and Celtic continue their unbeaten runs and Motherwell continue their fine form. Kilmarnock announced Steve Clarke as manager and they got an instant response as he watched from the stands. Partick Thistle continue to struggle and remain winless. The Scottish Cup draw managed to be messed up and had to be drawn again. That leads us to talking about the results of the weekend with non SPFL teams knocking out Stirling Albion and Cowdenbeath. Celtic face a big week with games in three different competitions. Will their domestic run finally come to an end? They face a difficult trip to Bayern Munich first. This week Krys and I are joined by a special guest – ESPN's Derek Rae. We start by discussing Celtic's performance against Juventus. Derek gives us his view on Juventus' replacement for the Stadio Delle Alpi and also how Pirlo became the player he is today. On Sunday the Edinburgh derby finished 0-0, with a lot of the talk focussing on Leigh Griffiths' goal that never was. We all know that the ball crossed the line, but the officials never gave it. We discuss what could be done to stop that happening again; including goal-line technology, and Derek gives his opinion on the use of TV evidence. Morton are currently sitting atop division one and have aspirations of reaching the SPL. With promotion comes certain stadium criteria and Morton have until the 31st of March to confirm they have plans in place to upgrade their stadium. The sticking point is that league reconstruction is due to be voted in on the 15th of April and if it happens, the top tier entry criteria will be relaxed. We discuss the various options available to the club and that leads us on to discuss other upgrades, namely standing areas. Division three was home to two shock results of the weekend; Stirling Albion beat East Stirlingshire 9-1, and Annan beat Rangers 2-1. I applaud Annan, and we also discuss Stirling Albion's rise from the bottom of the table to the possibility of a play off place. Derek also gives his views on the Rangers team, and I discuss the state of my steak pie from the weekend. As usual we each pick a team in this week's charity bet. We only managed one result out of three last weekend, but that's no surprise. It's the final of the Scottish Communities League Cup on Saturday and we first of all discuss the rumour that Peter Houston will take over at Hearts, with his first game possibly being the final. We also discuss the SFL's decision to take tickets away from St Mirren and move them to a more expensive section. We end the podcast with our SPL predictions. Derek is set to commentate on Friday's game between Motherwell and Hibs, which leads us on to discuss Friday night football and the benefits of it.
