Une révolution qui touche particulièrement les jeunes consultants et oblige le secteur à se réinventer. L'intelligence artificielle inquiète de plus en plus les grands cabinets de conseil dans le monde. OpenAI et Anthropic ont récemment annoncé le lancement de structures spécialisées dans le déploiement de leurs technologies directement auprès des entreprises. Une évolution qui pourrait profondément modifier l'équilibre du secteur du consulting. Traditionnellement, lorsqu'une entreprise souhaite restructurer son organisation, lancer une transformation ou revoir sa stratégie, elle fait appel à des consultants. Ces derniers réalisent alors des études de marché, des analyses financières, des audits concurrentiels ou encore des présentations stratégiques destinées aux directions générales. Un travail souvent long, coûteux et mobilisant parfois plusieurs dizaines de consultants pendant plusieurs semaines. Mais l'arrivée de l'IA générative bouleverse complètement cette mécanique. Désormais, certains modèles d'intelligence artificielle sont capables d'exécuter une partie de ces tâches en quelques minutes seulement : résumer des centaines de documents, produire des analyses sectorielles, créer des présentations ou générer des diagnostics préliminaires. Des cabinets plus productifs mais moins dépendants des consultants juniors Cette transformation améliore fortement la productivité des cabinets de conseil. Chez McKinsey & Company, certaines équipes auraient vu leur taille réduite grâce à l'automatisation de nombreuses tâches analytiques. Le cabinet développe également des milliers d'agents IA internes afin d'assister ses consultants. Officiellement, les grands groupes du conseil ne parlent pas de suppressions massives d'emplois. Mais tous reconnaissent une forte hausse de la productivité. Et lorsqu'un secteur de services devient soudainement beaucoup plus efficace grâce à la technologie, une question finit forcément par émerger : aura-t-on encore besoin d'autant de salariés ? Les premiers concernés sont les jeunes diplômés. Historiquement, les consultants juniors étaient chargés des tâches de recherche, d'analyse et de préparation des supports stratégiques. Des missions qui servaient aussi de formation avant de monter progressivement en compétences. Or précisément, ce sont ces tâches de base que l'intelligence artificielle automatise aujourd'hui le plus rapidement. Le secteur fait donc face à un paradoxe majeur. Si l'IA réalise désormais les missions d'apprentissage des jeunes consultants, comment ces derniers pourront-ils acquérir l'expérience nécessaire pour devenir les experts de demain ? Pour l'instant, les cabinets peinent à apporter une réponse claire à cette question. De plus en plus d'entreprises commencent à utiliser directement les outils d'intelligence artificielle en interne pour produire des analyses ou des diagnostics auparavant confiés à des cabinets spécialisés. Dans un contexte où les entreprises cherchent à réduire leurs dépenses, beaucoup de dirigeants s'interrogent désormais : pourquoi payer plusieurs centaines de milliers d'euros une mission de conseil si une partie du travail peut être automatisée ? Pour les cabinets, tout l'enjeu consiste désormais à démontrer que leur valeur ne repose pas uniquement sur la production d'analyses. Car si l'IA progresse très rapidement, elle ne sait toujours pas gérer certains aspects fondamentaux de la vie des entreprises : arbitrer entre des intérêts divergents, piloter des transformations complexes, convaincre des équipes réticentes ou gérer les rapports humains et hiérarchiques. C'est précisément sur cette dimension humaine que les cabinets veulent aujourd'hui se repositionner. L'intelligence artificielle rend l'information largement accessible et peu coûteuse. En revanche, la rareté économique se déplace vers d'autres compétences : le jugement humain, la capacité à gérer la complexité, la confiance ou encore l'accompagnement stratégique des organisations. La question n'est donc peut-être plus de savoir si les consultants seront remplacés par les machines, mais plutôt quels consultants sauront travailler efficacement avec elles.

Knowledge management exists on a spectrum from personal to enterprise, but the founder of Bonfires argues this split is artificial. He believes knowledge itself does not respect those boundaries, and that small groups, researchers, hobbyists, and large institutions all possess knowledge that can and should interoperate with each other.2. After two and a half years of searching for the perfect ontology to structure their knowledge graph, the team concluded that no perfect ontology exists. Their solution was to build the flattest possible graph structure with only events, entities, and edges, creating a base layer others can build specialized ontologies on top of.3. Graph-based knowledge systems are more efficient than traditional databases for AI traversal because once a graph is computed, it is relatively free to query. Graph RAG combines the discovery power of vector search with the structured precision of graph traversal, solving many hallucination problems associated with standard retrieval augmented generation.4. Basic scientific research, the soil from which applied discoveries grow, is deteriorating because institutional funding structures only reward commercially viable outcomes. The founder built his platform partly to redirect community-driven capital toward researchers who are doing important work without institutional support.5. The institutionalization of science has historically blocked the open exchange of ideas that drove the original scientific revolution. The human spirit for open inquiry has not changed, but people cannot pursue it without financial support, and building decentralized infrastructure could restore that possibility.6. A federated knowledge network would allow individuals to access information from any contributor and filter it through their own preferred lens, rather than receiving information pre-filtered by centralized platforms. This represents a form of information symmetry similar to how mycelial networks distribute nutrients across a forest.7. The concern is not whether current scientific and governmental institutions will change but in what direction the rebuilding goes. Those capitalizing on the transition carry the same incentives as the previous era, which risks reproducing the same problems inside new structures.

The housing market sucks right now. That's just reality. But that doesn't mean you're powerless. The Housing Market Is Skewed — Use That Starter homes are struggling. Lower-tier houses are sitting. But higher-end houses? Selling like crazy. Million-dollar homes are moving because people with that kind of money don't care about rates the same way. That skews the data. People see $400k homes selling and assume everything is hot — but that doesn't help someone trying to get into their first house. If you're buying right now, one strategy is simple: buy under your ceiling. Know your range. Don't stretch yourself to death. Look at homes that need a little TLC. Cosmetic stuff. Cabinets. Paint. Fixtures. Appliances. Flooring. Those are solvable. Over time, you remodel intelligently and build equity yourself. If you're already in a house, the same concept applies. Pick one room at a time. Kitchen. Bathroom. Flooring. Do it in phases. At the end? You either: Have a fully remodeled home you love Or you sell at a higher value and move up But your strategy matters. If your goal is resale, you remodel based on trends — not your personal taste. Sage green cabinets? Trendy. I hate them. Doesn't matter. If the goal is ROI, you follow market taste. Black kitchens?
