Greatland Gold PLC managing director Shaun Day talked with Proactive about the company's updated ore reserve for the Telfer gold-copper mine and its forward-looking development strategy. Day outlined the release of a 712,000-ounce gold and 23,000-tonne copper ore reserve for Telfer, achieved just five months post-acquisition. This comes on the heels of a 3.2 million ounce resource estimate, collectively taking the total resource base, including Havieron, beyond 10.0 million ounces. “This is really built on the back of Michael Thompson and his team,” Day said, noting the speed and scale of the update. He emphasized that the reserve confirms continuity at Telfer as Havieron ramps up, avoiding any production gap. Day also discussed the two-year dual-train production outlook through FY27 and emphasized the production and cost benefits expected once Havieron, a significantly higher-grade and lower-cost asset, is integrated. An updated feasibility study aims to expand Havieron from 2.8 to 4–4.5 million tonnes per annum, potentially via conveyor infrastructure to enhance economics and ESG performance. Looking ahead, Day pointed to opportunities to extend mine life, increase drilling, and develop the West Dome Underground. “The team is really humming right now,” he said. Greatland Gold PLC (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF) CEO Shaun Day talked with Proactive about the company's performance during the March quarter and its strategic progress with the Telfer asset. Day said the company generated A$253.00 million in free cash flow, lifting the total bank balance to A$398.00 million and maintaining a debt-free position. “I think that's just a remarkable outcome after four months of ownership,” Day stated. Production for the quarter exceeded 90,000oz of gold equivalent, surpassing internal and market expectations. Costs also came in lower than forecast, with an all-in sustaining cost around A$2,100 per ounce. The company is investing heavily in revitalising Telfer, tripling the number of drill rigs to six and initiating the Stage 7 cutback at West Dome. Underground, high-grade intercepts at West Dome and a newly commissioned second decline highlight Greatland's focus on long-term growth. Day also discussed the company's guidance for the seven months to June 2025, forecasting between 196,000oz and 210,000oz at an all-in sustaining cost of A$2,100–A$2,250 per ounce. He emphasised the margin potential at current gold prices exceeding A$5,000 per ounce. In addition, the company has formally commenced its ASX listing process, with dual listings in London and Australia expected by late June. Greatland Gold PLC (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF) CEO Shaun Day talked with Proactive about the company's latest mineral resource update and its upcoming dual listing on the ASX. The update confirms 10.2 million ounces of gold and 387,000 tonnes of copper, significantly expanding the company's resource base. Day highlighted that more than 55% of these resources fall under the measured and indicated category, allowing for future conversion to reserves. The company has also added 3.2 million ounces of gold and 117,000 tonnes of copper at the Telfer mine, strengthening its position in the market. "The size of the prize here in terms of life extension is really significant," he stated. The CEO also discussed Greatland Gold's upcoming ASX listing, set for June 2025, which will broaden investor access and enhance market visibility. "We believe this cross-listing will unlock new demand from Australian investors and provide indexation benefits while maintaining our London listing," Day explained. Additionally, the company is ramping up exploration with six drill rigs in operation, aiming to further extend Telfer's mine life and identify new mineralisation zones. Greatland Gold PLC CEO Shaun Day talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the latest exploration update at the West Dome underground project. This marks the first-ever drilling campaign into this section of the Telfer gold-copper operation, yielding positive initial results. Day highlighted that the underground beneath the Main Dome at Telfer has been operating for nearly two decades, producing over 3.0 million ounces of gold. The newly drilled West Dome underground area has shown high-grade intercepts, with some reaching over 19 grams per tonne gold equivalent. He emphasised the importance of this discovery, as it provides potential for extending the mine life at Telfer while leveraging existing infrastructure for efficient ore processing. The company has planned a follow-up drilling campaign to further assess the deposit and move toward a JORC resource estimate. Additionally, mine planning and geotechnical studies will support future development. Greatland Gold also has a substantial stockpile, including 500,000 ounces of gold and 20,000 tonnes of copper, reinforcing its resource base. Day noted that their approach mirrors past successful strategies in extending mine life through reinvestment in drilling. For more updates, visit Proactive's YouTube channel. Coffee with Samso

Coffee with Samso Episode 200 is a David and Goliath story that could be a second chance for those investors who felt they missed out on past opportunities. The Greatland Gold Plc (AIM: GGP) is the classic case of the need to understand the content of management and the technical aspects of a mineral resource project. Like all investment partitioners, their main challenge is hearing fellow participants overlook the essential elements of comprehending and applying the principles of First Principal's business. I have been in the industry since 1992, and over the past three decades, I've learnt that understanding the sector requires insights from a geologist's perspective, an investor's viewpoint, and those who influence the markets, such as stakeholders (brokers, major investors, and vendors of the company and projects). It's crucial to gather wisdom from experienced individuals and recognise that no two operations, projects, mineral orebodies, or extraction methods are identical. This is evident in the many success stories that have emerged from so-called "unloved" and "impossible" projects that seemed doomed from the start. The list of companies that have been created from these unloved "investment concepts" or the "too Small for Majors" are clearly exemplified recently by the following list below; Northern Star Resources Limited (ASX: NST), Spartan Resources Limited (ASX: SPR), Genesis Minerals Limited (ASX: GMD), Westgold Resources Limited (ASX: WGX), Gold Road Resources Limited (ASX: GOR), There are numerous others to include on that list, and the surprising fact is that ASX retail investors are slow to invest in these stocks. The issue for these investors is that by the time these stocks gain attention, the capital appreciation for their type of portfolio has decreased, leaving opportunities to institutions and more "sophisticated" investors seeking consistent income generation. Why do I still see Greatland Gold Plc as a viable Proposition for the Retail Investor? Firstly, they are largely unknown to the sector. Currently, they have an AUD $2B market capitalisation hidden on the London Stock Exchange AIM Market platform. If you click on that link, you will see the unimpressive on the London Stock Exchange. What is an AUD billion dollar company hidden in this nature? The answer to that question is one of the first points I make in the Coffee with Samso with Shaun Day, the Managing Director of Greatland Gold. The company is an overnight success that has taken a decade of hard work and sweaty rattling of the tin to keep the doors from shutting. This episode of Coffee with Samso is a perfect companion to our first story on Greatland Gold we published on July 2, 2022, entitled "The Havieron Gold - Copper Discovery in Patterson Range, Western Australia". That was now almost 3 years ago, and today, they are a fully fledged miner with the words "Undervalued- Underrated" written all over the story. For those who felt that they have not caught a good investment in a raging bull gold market that seems to have no short-term end, especially in Australian dollars. This will have to be a must-see Coffee with Samso before you begin your process of DYOR. I cannot emphasise the need to spend good quality time to DYOR for Greatland Gold, which is still not listed on the ASX. That will come in June, so better get your knee pads from Bunnings and start resorting to begging, as I am 100 percent sure there will be limited shares available to the common man when their IPO comes around. Chapters: 01:28 Start 02:34 Who is Shaun Day? 03:45 How did Greatland buy back the assets? 05:39 Composition of the acquisition price paid by Greatland Gold. 07:34 Significance of Havieron being next to Telfer 09:04 Where is the uplift of Telfer and Havieron for Greatland Gold. 10:31 Reason for the cost of Telfer 13:14 An explanation to the concept of Vertical Ounce? 15:20 Breaking down the potential value of the Telfer Operations. 20:05 The size of the processing capabilities of the Telfer/Havieron Operations. 25:33 Thoughts on the future of mining costs 28:33 Hemi vs Havieron 31:17 What is the status of the ASX Listing ? 39:11 Tungsten deposit 46:57 Takeaway from the Greatland story 50:27 Closing remarks 52:15 Conclusion About Shaun Day Shaun is Managing Director of Greatland Gold plc. Shaun has over 25 years of experience in executive and commercial roles across mining, infrastructure and investment banking. Prior to joining the Company, Shaun was Chief Financial Officer of Northern Star Resources Limited, an ASX100 company and a global-scale Australian gold producer. Prior to this, Shaun was Chief Financial Officer of SGX-listed Sakari Resources Plc, which operated multiple mines ahead of its takeover. Shaun is a Non-executive Chairman of Blue Ocean Monitoring Limited and a member of the Senate of the University of Western Australia. About Greatland Gold Greatland's operating asset is its 100%-owned Telfer gold-copper mine, one of Australia's largest gold-copper mining complexes with significant established processing and infrastructure. Greatland's development asset is its 100% owned Havieron development project, a high-grade gold-copper deposit located 45km west of Telfer that will utilise the Telfer infrastructure to process Havieron ore. In addition to Telfer and Havieron, Greatland holds interests in a significant exploration portfolio, the focus of which is the relatively underexplored surrounding Paterson Province. Ownership of the Telfer infrastructure greatly enhances the potential value of exploration success in Greatland's Paterson exploration portfolio. Strategy of Greatland Gold Greatland aspires to become a profitable multi-mine resources company by focusing on the responsible and sustainable discovery, development, extraction, processing and sale of precious and base metals. Greatland's strategy to achieve this growth is built on four horizons: Profitable operation of the Telfer gold-copper mine and pursuit of Telfer mine life extension; Continued advancement of the world-class Havieron gold-copper project through to production; Exploration to identify new precious and base metals deposits, with a focus on the Paterson Province surrounding Telfer; and Disciplined assessment and, where compelling, pursuit of new investment and acquisition opportunities in the resources sector. Greatland has assembled a highly experienced team that is committed to delivering our growth strategy. The senior team is supported by a Board with extensive expertise and experience in the global resources sector. Greatland's leadership team has a track record of success and value creation for shareholders.

Greatland Gold PLC (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF) CEO Shaun Day spoke with Proactive's Tylah Tully about the acquisition of the Telfer Mine and Havieron Project from Newmont. This milestone marks a transformative moment for Greatland, as it transitions into a gold and copper producer with a strong development pipeline in Australia. Shaun Day reflected on the acquisition's significance, stating, "We take 100% ownership of Telfer and Havieron, positioning us as a significant Australian gold-copper producer." He shared insights from the first day on-site under Greatland's ownership, highlighting a renewed focus on safety, exploration and long-term mine planning. "Telfer isn't lost in a global portfolio. This is our focus," Day emphasised. Greatland aims to integrate production from Telfer's open pit and underground mines with output from Havieron, creating a unified mine plan for the Telfer mill. Additionally, the company plans to extend mine life, incorporate new resources and explore further regional opportunities. Day described the breadth of opportunities as “exciting,” with plans to maximize reserves and maintain a long-term growth strategy. #ProactiveInvestors #GreatlandGold #AIM #OTC #TelferMine #HavieronProject #GoldMining #CopperProduction #AIMGGP #AustralianMining #ProactiveUpdates

Selected - The Sesamers Podcast

Recorded live at VivaTech 2024 in Paris, we sat down with Paola Telfer, founder and CEO of Sens.ai. Sens.ai is at the forefront of mental wellness technology, using innovative AI solutions to transform how we approach mental health. This interview highlights Paola's journey, her groundbreaking product, and the future of mental wellness technology. The Inspiration Behind Sens.aiPaola Telfer's journey into mental wellness technology began with a personal crisis following a motor vehicle accident. She saw gaps in the market regarding mental health solutions and decided to bridge these gaps. “I realized that there were subtle levels of mind in your subconscious that were difficult to access precisely,” she explains. This realization led to the development of Sens.ai, aiming to make these transformative tools accessible to more people.Innovative Neurofeedback TechnologyOne of the core components of Sens.ai is its neurofeedback technology. Users wear a headset and use a mobile app that transforms their biological signals, like heart rate and brain waves, into music and visuals. Paola shares, "It's like a mirror for your mind, guiding you to deeper states of consciousness where you can rewire your stories." This technology allows users to engage in deep mental exercises that can rewire their brains for better mental health.Bridging Medical and Consumer MarketsWhile neurofeedback devices have existed in the medical space, Sens.ai aims to make this technology consumer-friendly. Paola emphasizes, "We wanted to redesign the electrodes entirely to make it super easy to use, with no paste in your hair, and seconds to get the signal going." This user-centric approach ensures that the technology is accessible and effective for everyday use.The Role of AI in Mental WellnessSens.ai incorporates advanced AI to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of its mental wellness technology. Paola highlights the importance of a clean data set for applying AI effectively. "We had to make sure the integrity of the data set was absolutely critical," she notes. AI not only improves the precision of neurofeedback but also personalizes the user experience by adapting to individual needs.Future Directions and Ethical ConsiderationsLooking ahead, Sens.ai aims to expand its reach and impact. The company is raising a $20 million Series A to scale its operations. Additionally, Sens.ai is exploring group coherence, where multiple users can synchronize their brainwaves and heart coherence for enhanced group dynamics. On ethics, Paola stresses the importance of transparency and simplicity in handling user data. “Your data should never harm you,” she assures, emphasizing the company's commitment to privacy and ethical AI use. Find Paola on:LinkedIn: Paola TelferTwitter/X: @Paola Telfer Find Ben on:LinkedIn: Ben CostantiniTwitter/X: @bencostantini Be sure to follow us on Instagram, LinkedIn, and X for more cool stories from the people we catch during the best Tech events!

Getting outdoors, meeting and moving in a wide range of ways, with a wide range of people and learning about yourself in the process, is a really special combination.   I've had the pleasure of knowing this week's podcast guests; Gill Erskine & Andrew Telfer, for a while now. I've even been fortunate enough to experience some of their magic, at a Wildstrong certification weekend. I came away having had my knowledge challenged, movement and coaching skills improved and having had warm conversations and made lovely connections. I wished there was a Wildstrong nearer me! Gill & Andrew are a great combination, as they have different backgrounds, giving them different perspectives and I managed to get a little of Andrew's wisdom before technical difficulties, sadly, got in the way.  In the conversation we explored the barriers people have about moving outdoors, as well as the benefits of being in nature. We look at the challenge of incorporating outdoor time into daily life, the role a community can have in bringing social support through outdoor activities. Gill and I discussed the benefits of intergenerational movement and the importance of play in adult fitness as well as the impact of movement on ageing and the role of genetics and lifestyle on mobility. We touch on fear of movement and the need for permission to explore and be curious.  If you enjoy this podcast, please support the show by pressing Follow & giving a Rating. There's one crucial ingredient that sets successful business owners apart from the rest: their unstoppable entrepreneurial mindset. And our today's guest is the perfect example of that. Join Paola Telfer of Sens.ai and A.J. as they discuss tips for maintaining focus and mental acuity even in the face of challenges. Drawing from personal experience and her work building a cutting-edge business focused on brain health, Paola talks about the importance of aligning values, embracing continuous learning, and fostering genuine connections with business partners.About Paola TelferPaola Telfer is the CEO and Founder of Sens.ai, a company at the forefront of optimizing brain health and wellness. As an avid explorer of neuroscience, consciousness development, and peak states, Paola is passionate about creating tech-forward and accessible solutions for busy professionals. She aims to bring a holistic approach to wellness by combining technological innovation and meditative principles.Paola's life took a pivotal turn during recovery from an accident, igniting her passion for neurotechnology. Today, she balances her leadership role at Sens.ai with her love for outdoor activities and family life. She epitomizes success through her dedication to enriching lives and embracing life's joys.Key Insights:Communicate openly with your business partners. Honest and open communication builds trust and improves teamwork. This kind of relationship helps you achieve your shared goals but also solve problems when they arise more efficiently, which is a win-win for partnerships. (05:07)Stay humble. Being humble is important for entrepreneurs. It helps you grow by allowing you to see and seize more opportunities for growing your business. Also, everyone prefers working with people who are transparent, so you'll always get much more out of being humble than pretending you have all the answers. (09:36)Keep your brand messaging authentic. Stay true to your values if you want your customers to trust you. People can tell when a brand is authentic and not just after money or trends. So, this authenticity in your messaging will attract and retain customers who share similar values, ultimately building a loyal community around your brand. (11:22)Recognize the transformative power of mindset. Paola found that by clearing her mind, she could think better at work and be more peaceful at home. This is something you can achieve as well. Start with a regular self-care routine and try simple activities like meditation and deep breathing. They can help you be more present, reduce stress, and sharpen your focus. (21:22)Align your business with your core values. This alignment creates a business culture and brand identity based on what you truly believe in. It helps you connect with customers and employees, build a good brand reputation, and make your company stand out from competitors. (38:38)Paola's best advice for entrepreneurs:“Life just throws things at you. And the best you can hope is that you've built some resilience, you have some wisdom, and you have a support structure around you.” (15:06)Connect with Paola:LinkedInXInstagramResources Mentioned:Sens.ai WebsiteSens.ai BlogSens.ai InstagramFollow Beyond 8 Figures:LinkedinTwitterWebsiteAffiliate Disclaimer: Some links in this episode are affiliate links.
