This week's episode features Brian Wolff out of Austin, TX. He is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter who's musical style draws influence heavily from Classic Rock, 90's Alternative, and Blues. His playing style has been described as “tasteful, yet powerful.” He led the band Fair City Fire for 7 years as they produced two LPs and embarked on five national tours. When the band split during the pandemic, Wolff narrowed his focus on writing songs and moving forward as a solo artist. Wolff released his debut EP called, “The Punch.” His band, Brian Wolff & The Howlers, features Tim Moen on bass and Joe Valadez on drums (also of Soul's Extolled). I featured two of Brian's songs on the episode. One is called “The Punch” and the other is “I love you, Goodnight.” I should also mention that Brian is playing Meanwhile Brewing with his band tonight at 8pm. So if you are listening in from the Austin area definitely feel free to swing by. In this Tim and John Episode, we interview the Leader of the Libertarian Party in Canada, Tim Moen. Tim talks about his experience with the "pandemic" as a firefighter and insights into being a first responder. His wife is also an ER nurse. Tim warns about a slew of deaths not from COVID but heart disease and other diseases. He says people have not done the appropriate health checkups and delay other critical voluntary medical interventions. He tells the story of sabotage during his last run as a candidate to become Prime Minister of Canada. He also told us that there is no reason to hold back on his true beliefs during the next election. Tim being an Anarcho-Capitalist, could be a hope for a message to get out for true freedom and personal responsibility without government interference in our lives. Tim goes into why he doesn't believe in politics as a means of getting into power to change things rather than to get ideas out to change people's minds or at least make them question the validity of our current democracy. We also go into Canada's political system and government's flaws with almost doubling Canadian Public debt in under a year. And we ask the question. Leader of the Libertarian Party of Canada, fireman and dedicated family man, Tim Moen makes a regular practice of finding his moral centre. He saw through the propaganda matrix, which led him to the philosophy of liberty. He noticed that using force and violence is only legal if you’re a government leader. As a side hustle from his fireman gig Tim did film work with Neil Young and Darryl Hannah that changed his perception of what’s really happening behind the scenes with Hollywood and popular music. In this interview he tells this story that led up to being elected leader of the Libertarian party. Don’t Avoid Stress Unlike the message of many in the world of health and wellness Tim says, “I don’t avoid stress, it’s how I grow and develop.” He handles it with an attitude of gratitude, and credits how he starts his day with changing the day for the better. “The first thing you do when you prey is give thanks.” Feelings Are Bad Tim was taught early on that feelings are bad, especially for men. He’s since understood that they aren’t to be tamped down. They are there to learn from and get curious about. He matches the story in his head with unmet needs and comes up with gold that way. We talked about how he deals with projections, praise and attacks. And especially given his leadership position he knows how power corrupts. His strategy for holding onto integrity and morals is by having the right people in his life. Stuck in a Hoarder’s Fire The turning point that led Tim to his current perspective on life was when he nearly died losing his way in a fire in a hoarder’s apartment. Following his miraculous rescue he had an awakening. He resolved to only do what was meaningful to him — to be the best husband, best father, best role model, best teacher, and the best example to others. Mental Health and the Victim Narrative Tim describes how to overcome the victim narrative told by industrial culture around mental health challenges. In rescue professions such as his her reports that they are systemically encouraged to consider themselves victims. But Tim doesn’t buy it. His Gory Initiation - Trigger Alert Then he told one of the goriest story I’ve ever heard. It was a trial by fire, a baptism by fire. He shows how the victim industrial complex led him to a breakdown that didn’t need to happen, and how he became heroic by treating his traumatic experience like the rite of passage it was. To finish we talked about the complimentary roles of masculine and feminine in the family and the Masculinity Project he is starting to be a positive role model to men in the making. In this episode of #Ameerapproved we cover - What is the libertarian party - Policies of the Canadian Libertarian party - How we need to upgrade our social programs - Why the Government needs transparency - How we can make a more sustainable society       Guest: Keith Komar https://www.libertarian.on.ca/ Keith is a single father of 2 originally from Cranbrook B.C. His mother is a Saskatchewan farm girl who can trace her lineage back to the late 1600s early 1700s to a town called Greenlay, Quebec. His father is an immigrant who managed to escape from Yugoslavia in the 1950s, only to be thrown in jail for deserting his country. Upon his release, he swam the Danube River into Austria and eventually made his way to Canada.   Keith has both a hereditary Canadian heritage and an immigrant background which gives him a unique perspective on some of todays more important topics dealing with immigration. Showing the same toughness as his father, Keith turned down a scholarship to Waterloo in Mathematics and chose instead to become a bricklayer. He is an activist for many causes and has supported marriage equality since the early 1990s when his brother and his partner were one of the first same-sex couples to marry at the United Church in Toronto in 1992. Keith’s activism for the Cannabis industry began in 2015 when he was in Calgary and Dana Larsen got arrested for handing out seeds.   Keith was at the front line demanding they arrest him as well. In 2016, Keith warned against the impending Cannabis Act and the "man behind the curtain so to speak, that would eventually lead to the problems we are seeing today with the poorly executed legalization of cannabis in Canada. Keith is still fighting for the decriminalization of cannabis and spoke at the 420 Rally for cannabis freedom at both the Vancouver event in 2017 and the Toronto event in 2019. He will continue to fight until cannabis is decriminalized. Keith is a staunch supporter of property rights and freedom of speech. Keith was first introduced to Libertarianism in 2008 while following the U.S. election. He was immediately captivated by Dr. Paul and his unapologetic stances on property rights and personal freedoms. Keith is well-read on many topics, has read all of Ayn Rand books, and is a follower of Milton Friedman and Frederick Hayak.   In September 2015 Keith found Tim Moen and the Libertarian Party of Canada and supported the local candidate in Grand Prairie for the 2015 election. In 2016, Keith became involved with the BC Libertarian Party and helped grow its membership and candidate numbers for the 2017 provincial election. Keith himself garnered the 2nd highest percentage of votes for the party in that election (2.5%) and the 3rd highest vote total (410). In 2018 Keith moved back to Ontario and became involved with the Ontario Libertarian Party where he is currently running for party leader. Keith represented the Libertarian Party of Canada in the York-Simcoe riding in Barrie during the 2019 federal by-election,

55 Minutes Mance welcomes Tim Moen to the show. Tim is the leader of the Libertarian Party of Canada and he is a "pull no punches" kind of guy. Unlike what the American LP has seen of its leadership recently, Tim is not scared to say the things that need to be said when it comes to communicating the message of true liberty. Tim talks about his unapologetic ANCAP-ism, how he balances that with political action, and gives an insight into the Canadian health care system.
