The Unity Conference and Healing Revival held in July of 1923 at Unity Farm included a series of talks by Charles and Myrtle.  Today's show features a talk by Charles that was Lesson IV of the series and addresses the question "Is Christianity a Science?"  This is a LONG talk so I have no special guest, just me and Charles' words. I'll give some background first and also comment on what I gleaned from this timeless treasure in the final segment. Of the 11 lessons available from the archives, nine have been broadcast already.

Did you know Charles Fillmore as into bodybuilding? Well, he was ... but not the way you might think, with barbells, dumbells and gym workouts. Charles believed we can develop our bodies by using our minds.  Today's talk is a lesson that Charles gave at the Unity Conference and Healing Revival held at Unity Farm (as Unity Village was called then) on Wednesday, July 11, 1923. This is a long lesson so it is only me on the show sharing these wonderful words of Charles and then giving my ideas on the lessons as well as some interesting background info I find.  The lesson is entitled "Temple of the Living God." 

This is a longer talk by Charles Fillmore, so we will not have a special guest. Like this past week's lesson, this talk is also entitled “Interpreting the Bible." This was a talk Charles gave at the Unity Church on Ninth and Tracy Street, in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 3, 1923. This was a Monday Evening Lesson at the first Unity Conference and Healing Revival! His lesson was on how to view this concept of God from a Unity perspective. I will also share the opening address given by Charles Fillmore to the conference attendees!

In this episode, we are starting a new series based on the lessons given at the Unity Conference and Healing Revival, held in Kansas City, Missouri, from July 1–14, 1923. There are a total of 12 lessons. This first one was delivered on July 2, 1923. One of the most interesting things shared in this talk is this: “God only does what man says he shall do. God is our servant.” Next, our romp with The Revealing Word will began with “body, how to make perfect” and “breastplate.”

This week we reviewed a welcome message given by Charles Fillmore to the first Unity Conference and Healing Revival. He explores the origins of Unity, both spiritually/metaphysically and in name. He emphasizes some of the basic, unifying Unity teachings. At one point, he even refers to it as a doctrine. Then we launched into Chapter 22 of Heart-Centered Metaphysics, entitled, “Stumbling Blocks and Keys to Demonstration.” Today's focus was mainly around what demonstration is, followed by the concept that what we focus upon can block and hinder our prosperity. We also looked at fear and the negative side.

In 1923 Unity held the first-ever Unity Conference and Healing Revival.
