Welcome to Databank Brawl Rewind! Databank Brawl was a series that ran on ForceCenter from 2016 to 2020 and it remains one of our more beloved shows. Though Databank Brawl is on hiatus, we wanted to celebrate it along with the longtime listeners of the podcast and reintroduce it to the ForceCenter listeners who began listening to the podcast after the end of the show's run. Though all of the episodes remain on our podcast feed it can be daunting to scroll back and find them, so we're launching Databank Rewind. Here's your chance to go back to those episodes week-by-week and laugh with us at old jokes, memorable moments, unforgettable guests, and, yeah, old microphones, recordings, and perhaps some Star Wars predictions that came true alongside many that most certainly did not. Databank Brawl -- where Star Wars characters are plucked from the entries of the StarWars.com databank and forced to fight it out in an off-the-cuff podcast moderated by Joseph Scrimshaw. It's time to fight...From the minds of Ken Napzok (comedian, host of The Napzok Files), Joseph Scrimshaw (comedian, writer, host of the Obsessed podcast), and Jennifer Landa (actress, YouTuber, crafter, contributor on StarWars.com) comes the ForceCenter Podcast Feed. Here you will find a series of shows exploring, discussing, and celebrating everything about Star Wars. Subscribe on Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts. This is a bonus episode that had some technical issues that required 2 recording stoppages. But still some great stuff to listen to:Not easy to create a sentence that includes Boner and Unkar Plutt. But Mark accomplishes that feat in this episode of the DXT Podcast.
In this episode of All Remaining Systems, Matthew and Michael begin their discussions on the Jedi Prince series of books. Also, skits about Zuckuss on Geonosis, Gordon Ramsay arguing with Unkar Plutt, and choosing which Star Wars characters we would pick for the Holy Grail War.All Remaining Systems is a casual Star Wars podcast in which hosts Michael and Matthew just sit around and talk about Star Wars. The Backers finish off Season 1 a little punch drunk, belting out show tunes and classic funk. They discuss ultimately disappointing aspects of some performing arts categories in crowdfunding sites but still find the power in themselves to keep the faith with their listeners and complete the mission. Unkar Plutt makes a triumphant return, Chris reminisces about the pure joy of a particular DS game, and Brian workshops his drunken half-orc character voice for the inevitable D&D podcast they do in what may be the most meandering (yet strangely endearing!) episode yet. Join us as we finish up Backers, Season 1 with style. For episode links, visit the episode post on our website at https://backerspodcast.com/2018/3/12/s1e15-theater

"All Creatures Great and Small," the next short story from "Tales From a Galaxy Far, Far Away: Aliens, Volume 1" by Landry Q. Walker up for discussion during Beach Reading Week, features Bobbajo - the Force Awakens alien we first saw in the Omaze video, who was also standing in line behind Rey once at Unkar Plutt's trading post. And he has an outrageous story to tell about the first Death Star and its destruction... Punch it! ***I'm listener supported! Unkar Plutt rewards you double portions today with the final episode of our volume on historiography! We dive deep into a brief biography of Augustine (chapter 1 of Gerald Bray's Augustine on the Christian Life) as well as a paper Adam wrote 4 years ago (ah! sunrise, sunset). We also chase a rabbit trail on Gospel chronology. Plus: other things! We're excited and pleased to present to you the eighth and final episode of volume 2 of An Oral History of the Church. Questions? Comments? Drop us a line at churchhistorypodcast@gmail.com, or tweet us @OralHistoryPod, or look us up on Facebook. If you're willing, we'd appreciate a review or a rating on your podcast app of choice. It helps potential listeners know what you like about what we're doing here. "Saints Gone Before" is our companion podcast featuring audiobook readings with no commentary. We're set to finish Martin Luther's "Concerning Christian Liberty" on Monday, February 13th. New episodes release every Monday. Coming in July 2017: we're taking a hiatus to prepare the next volume of An Oral History of the Church. In honor of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, we're taking a long look at Martin Luther's life, thought, and legacy. We're planning a good number of episodes, but plan to finish by the end of the calendar year. See you then!

In this episode we discuss the newest casting news for the Han Solo movie and talk a bit of Episode VIII. The best part of this episode, though, is that we got to talk to Nick from London again! And this time his sister Sylvia joined us for a bit, too! As always, be sure to check our website for a more complete show guide. Leave us a comment there while you're at it! https://childrenoftheforce.com/2017/01/19/episode-58-nick-and-sylvia-and-woody-and-lumpy-and-a-soggy-rebel/We start the episode off singing various happy birthday songs to Liam. He’ll be 8 before our next episode! STAR WARSY STUFF [2:15]Liam and his friend Toby (who was a guest on episode 14 of Children of the Force!) had a sleepover and watched The Empire Strikes Back. Liam had Two observations and a question. Observation: There are no women pilots in Rogue Group on Hoth. Bummer. Observation: The Wampa scenes in the cave looked fake. Question: Did Wedge survive the original trilogy and does that mean he’s around during the sequel trilogy? We know he survived the OT, but we don’t know yet if he’s still kickin’ in the ST. I have a feeling we’ll get a definitive answer this February in Aftermath: Empire’s End. We revisit whether or not Saw laughed a lot in Rogue One. What do you think? Did he? Let us know at forcechildren@gmail.com We give a shout out to Martin Luther King Jr., since we recorded this episode on the holiday that honors him. NEWS [8:45] Woody Harrelson is coming to the Han Solo stand-alone film! We discuss that Yahoo story about John Knoll naming Jyn after some females in his life. We got some Episode VIII tidbits from Rian Johnson via USA Today. “It’s not Star Wars without violence.” -Anna A CONVERSATION WITH NICK (and Sylvia) FROM LONDON [18:00] Before Nick talks with us about his experience at the Star Wars Identities Exhibition, we talk with his sister, Sylvia, about female representation in Star Wars. We also sing her a birthday song! After talking all about the Star Wars Identities exhibit, we talk with Nick about Rogue One and he brings up that deleted Unkar Plutt scene, the Rebels’ Darksaber reveal, and that small press release from Lucasfilm about not using a CGI Carrie Fischer in Episode IX. JOKE [38:40] Nick has a joke: What’s the popular music style on Dagobah? And I have a joke: What did Kanan say when Saw threw water on Hera? Q&A COUNCIL [41:00] Al asks: What was the most surprising thing about Rogue One for you? (By the way, you can let us know your answer via any of the methods listed at the end of these show notes.) STAR WARSY STUFF [1:05] Weekend X-Wing games are becoming a regular thing in our house. We’ve all now read the Jedi Academy trilogy and loved it. We read a great listener email, which includes these theories: 1. Is Kylo Ren a playing a long con on Snoke? 2. Is that Unkar Plutt holding Rey’s hand in her force flashback (aka: forceback)? 3. Is Snoke Darth Palgueis? We also get into a spoiler-free discussion about two episodes of Rebels, The Protector of Concord Dawn and Legends of the Lasat, including a listen to “Journey Into the Star Cluster,” one of the finest pieces of music Kevin Kiner has written for Rebels or The Clone Wars.NEWS [25:00] A description for New Republic: Bloodline!
