We all know how the Galaxy unfolds with Anakin turning into the cyborg Darth Vader, but what if Sidious wasn't his master? What if Plagueis was? I hope you all enjoy this one, and I will see you all tomorrow in the next episode of Star Wars Theory! Thank you for listening to today's podcast. In today's crazy special animated Fan-Fiction - let's go over the scenario regarding what would happen if Count Dooku returned from being killed by Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith! Would he turn himself and Palpatine in to the Jedi Council? Would he seek revenge on Sidious? Would he go to fight Anakin again? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

So this is an interesting question and one that was raised at the end of Tales of the Jedi when Dooku told Palpatine that Qui Gon could have been a powerful ally, had he not died. Sidious said, for you, and the conversation started to shift. So today, let's discuss the possibility of qui-gon actually turning away from the Jedi and joining Dooku. Now before we begin we need to understand Qui-Gon a little bit better for those new to the channel and to Star Wars. Qui-Gon was a maverick. He went his own way. He wasn't on the Jedi council by choice, he knew the decisions he made and his overall view of the force was what made him unfit in the council's eyes. For example, many fans would argue that qui-gon Jinn's use of the force to manipulate the chance cube with Watto was an act of the Dark Side, or rather, more in the middle of light and dark, grey some would call it. I always saw it as him balancing the odds since Watto's chance cube was rigged by Watto himself. Qui-Gon was all about trusting the force, and believing balance was key. This is why he would have literally been the best father figure and teacher to Anakin, preventing his whole downfall. Now, here's an excerpt from the book master and apprentice which is canon. It's a quote from qui-gon jinn to rael aveross who was once Dooku's apprentice that Qui-Gon grew close with. "I don't turn toward the light because it means someday I'll 'win' some sort of cosmic game. I turn toward it because it is the light." Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In Tales of the Jedi we saw the climactic end to Yaddles life at the hands of Count Dooku. It seemed Yaddle was one of the only Jedi who wasn't disillusioned with politics and disbelief that the Sith had returned. When she followed Dooku to the works which was a secret meeting spot for Sidious and his apprentices, she learned of the true nature of Dooku and Sidious' intentions to destroy the Jedi. It was here that Dooku was ordered to kill Yaddle as a final test of loyalty to Darth Sidious, his new master. Before defending herself, she gave Dooku the option to join her and kill Sidious. So what if Dooku did join her? That's what we'll discover in today's fan fiction. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
We follow up the cinematic masterpiece that is the opening act of Revenge of the Sith with a much more exposition based middle of the movie. The plot moves along, sometimes too quickly for our taste, but we start to see Sidious's plot come together more overtly, much to his and our joy. Some fantastically fun acting from the movie's villain gives us some of Star Wars' most quotable lines, and we get some great character moments from Anakin and Obi-Wan too! Let's dive in! Welcome to the newest podcast from spoilerwars.com, where we pretend we have been hired to reboot the Star Wars Skywalker Saga into a streaming series. We are not actually rebooting Star Wars. But we will be discussing all nine installments of the Skywalker Saga as if we were the ones responsible for breaking this story into tv seasons and episode arcs. Its a fun and challenging way to deep dive into some of our favorite but admittedly flawed films. And we would love your help with project! Engage with us @spoilerwarspod on social and help us rewrite the Skywalker Story. The ideas and opinions expressed by the host and guests of this podcast are in no way affiliated or endorsed by Disney or Lucasfilm... but we are available! In their second full session, Mason, Mitch, and Alec discuss Jar Jar Binks, Anakin Skywalker, and midichlorians!
Last week we talked about the Shadow of the Sith novel which leads right into The Rise of Skywalker, so we decided to keep it flowing and take a look back at the "finale of the Skywalker Saga" after two and a half years to see what we think of it now. Count Dooku had so much potential- Jonah and Paul join me to discuss the character from movies, TV and books from both Legends and Disney Canons. Why did he leave the Jedi? What drove the Separatist cause? How would his character, and the overall story, have been if he wasn't working for Sidious all along?
We all know of Darth Plagueis the Wise, and his ability to control Midichlorians to create life, as Sidious taught Anakin. Was he the only one with this knowledge and power? Not at all! This week on Tatooine Sons:After a several week medical hiatus
Erin, Brennan, and Matt conclude their Prequel extravaganza with Revenge of the Sith. Finally, they got to the content we actually cared about: killing younglings! We also return to sassy Obi Wan quips, epic lightsaber duels, and villains with breathing issues. We side with Sam Jackson that Mace Windu still lives. Did you see a body cause we sure didn't. But we did see the first force choke, we saw Chewbacca, and we definitely saw Palpatine as Sidious from parsecs away! For real, this was a story that needed to get dark and they did: slaughtering Jedi young and old, betrayals in the bonds of brotherhood, and manipulation of good people to do bad things. But hey, at least that cringe love story is officially over.
This week on Chris's Corner I explore the epic character of Darth Plagueis. Plagueis was the master of Emperor Palpatine aka Darth Sidious. Sidious famously told the story of Darth Plagueis The Wise as a way to persuade Anakin Skywalker to the dark side of the force because of the key concept of immortality and being able to prolong and save life. My knowledge on the background of the character has mainly be acquired through the book of Darth Plagueis by James Luceno. I break down the character through his early years, his master, his rise to power, the turning point in his role as a Sith Lord, and how he fell to the hands of Sidious. I hope you enjoy this breakdown of Darth Plagueis and as always I hope to see you here, this time next week!
In Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan went to Mustafar in Padme's ship to confront Anakin and defeat him, as per orders from Yoda. Yoda went to the emperor to do the same and hopefully put an end to the Sith. Now, if it weren't for Anakin's arrogance, losing his fight with Obi-Wan, and if it weren't for Sidious unable to find Yoda to finish him off, the galaxy would be a different place for sure. No Jedi would have survived, and Padme would have been taken with Anakin to give birth to Leia and Luke. Things would surely look differently, let's begin. Learn more about your ad choices. The Star Wars Prequels have enjoyed a huge resurgence in popularity in recent years, with the kids who grew up with then becoming adults and a brand new generation discovering them. This week we take a look at Episode I The Phantom Menace, George Lucas' return to both writing and directing. Following the adventures of Qui-Gon Jinn, Queen Amidala, Jar Jar Binks and sort of Obi-Wan Kenobi they tackle taxation in the form of the Trade Federation along with Darth's Sidious and Maul. It's a mixed bag no doubt but not without it's redeeming qualities. In Revenge of the Sith we got the biggest turning point in the Star Wars universe, Order 66, where Anakin cut off Mace Windu's hand and Sidious threw him out the window. It was after this that Anakin was dubbed as Darth Vader. The entire conversation from the novel is quite different from what we got in the film. Let's jump into this fascinating subject! Kathleen Kennedy explains how the original script for Kenobi was too bleak. So she scrapped it and decided to go with something that ended hopeful. On one hand, this time in Star Wars is very bleak and meant to be oppressive as the Empire, Vader, Sidious and inquisitors loom over the galaxy. On the other hand, hopeful is how Ben Kenobi ends up once we get to A New Hope. So I can see where it could end in 10 years after this show's timeline, however now for just 10 years before. That's too early. Kenobi has much to understand about the force and himself, still. I think it'll be fine, until the show is complete and we see it in its entirety. Learn more about your ad choices. Here's one of my favorite Clone Wars arcs that wasn't ever made into the show, however, it does have an epic series of comic runs. After The Clone Wars season 5, Darth Maul is captured by Darth Sidious, the rightful heir to the Darksaber after defeating Maul. Maul is interrogated by Count Dooku and later fights General Grievous per Dooku and Sidious' design. I have covered every issue before several years ago, however, I went back and redid the entire thing for issue 1 and I think I'll redo the whole issue, with better voice acting, better sound fx, better editing. I hope you enjoy this one and stay tuned for the full compilation of Son of Dathomir. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, there was a moment after Anakin defeated the Separatists during Order 66 on Mustafar, where he speaks to Sidious. In the movie we NEVER saw this scene but in the novel Palpatine warns him of imminent danger! He knows Obi-Wan is coming (or someone) and warns Anakin. I think this warning did more trouble than good. I think once Anakin saw it was Obi-Wan behind Padme, he was even more furious that Palpatine would even insinuate he is a danger to him. It hits his nerves even more that everyone constantly doubts him, in my opinion. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The world between worlds in Star Wars Rebels (CANON) made us realize that there exists a time and space in Star Wars where all events in the galaxy at any time can be seen or heard. Ezra grabbed Ahsoka as she fought Vader and saved her through the portal. Palpatine was able to open the portal, somewhat, and reach into it with the force after using some Sith sorcercy. Here are Sidious's thoughts on the world between worlds in CANON, from Episode 9 Rise of Skywalker. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
In the Revenge of the Sith novelization by Matthew Stover, we get a really cool bit of inner monologue from Palpatine when Yoda shows up in his office (just after the transmission with Anakin Skywalker on Mustafar after eliminating the Separatists during order 66). He says this: "But his physical presence was an illusion; the truth of him could be seen only in the Force. In the Force, he was a fountain of light. “Pity your new disciple I do; so lately an apprentice, so soon without a Master.” “Why, Master Yoda, what a delightful surprise! Welcome!” The voice of the shadow hummed with anticipation. “Let me be the first to wish you Happy Empire Day!” “Find it happy, you will not. Nor will the murderer you call Vader.” “Ah.” The shadow stepped closer to the light. “So that is the threat I felt. Who is it, if I may ask? Who have you sent to kill him?” “Enough it is that you know your own destroyer.” I think this is really enlightening (pun intended) as to how Sidious viewed Yoda, that he was a fountain of light itself. Renewed energy constantly flowing in the light side of the force. Does this give a little credit as to why he's so obsessed with Grogu, or rather, why the remnants of the Empire are so obsessed with the the experiments done on Grogu? Could Grogu be more than just a body to clone or transfer essence into? Could it be to, dare I say, find a means of prolonging life as Yoda's ageing process is much better than Palpatine's. Imagine if Palpatine lived to be 900 years old. The things he could achieve would be extraordinary to say the least. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
All Clone Wars fans know the episode arc: Rako Hardeen - the exciting yet heartbreaking plot line where Obi-Wan Kenobi fakes his own death and goes undercover among ruthless bounty hunters. In this episode, we dive into the absolutely CRAZY stuff Obi-Wan does, from stabbing a giant shark-man with a fork, to getting captured by the Hutts, to beating Anakin to a pulp. This story arc is critical to Star Wars because it pushes Anakin further away from the Jedi and right into Sidious's clutches. It's Clone Wars at its finest.
In revenge of the Sith, we had Obi-Wan fight Anakin, and Yoda fight palatine. Against Obi-Wan's wishes, who requested to fight Sidious because he could not kill Anakin, was denied by Yoda and flat out was told that Palpatine would kill him. This led to the outcome we had, where Yoda lost to Sidious, and obi-wan mutilated Anakin. What if Yoda went to Mustafar? Now this fan fiction will be incorporating tons of fantasy battle type explanations as we need to understand the actual fight and who would win and then we can discuss what would happen in the galaxy as a result of this fight. In the past I've done a similar fan fiction, but this one will be more in depth on their fighting styles. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

What an episode! We start out with a brief preview of the stuff we're expecting out of Comic-con this year. Then we talk about the new Dragon Ball Super movie and it's main villain: Broly. We discuss Aaron's new cosplay and that leads us to a discussion on the fight between Mace Windu and Darth Sidious. Who do you think won? Then we spilll the beans on our favorite movies and why, some great discussion here. And of course, we continue on with our Game of Thrones group watch, S1E4.
What's good? Boi, we've been super busy this week! Duke2.o got a job! Red4k has just been chillin with them lotto numbers he won't share, ChrisTwist is heading to San Antonio Comic Con, with the AstroPanda Crew if you see him there, tell him hi for us. As for me the Skyline Sempai, I've been watching the Live Letters from Square Enix. In this episode we go deep into Star Wars The Last Jedi head theories. Chris has a theory that gets demolished the Skyline Senpai's because you see, I spent years of my life trapped in my room thinking, fantasizing about Star Wars and how it should have been. Like Star Wars Episode 2 and 3 this is how I would have done it. I would have the Clone Wars been about how Sidious had cloned all the most important and significant persons in the republic. So the plot would have been trying to find out who was a clone and who wasn't, but it's discovered that Anakin has been cloned. So in the end of it, it's about trying to figure out who is the real Anakin and who isn't but the twist at the end would be that the Real Anakin is killed by the evil clone and assumes his life, fathering Luke and Leia. Then in episode 3 Clone Anakin reveals the truth becoming Darth Vader but only Palpatine knows the truth and while everyone is left to believe that Anakin fell to the Dark side. So when Darth Vader finally saves Luke in Return of the Jedi it has more significant because even a creature created for Evil can have a change of heart and become a force for good, this would really drive home that you can choose who you are no matter your origins. Oh, Rey is a Clone of Luke made from his hand. We'd like to hear your thoughts hit us up @MiddleAgedNerds on twitter, Oh, check out this FF12 remake https://youtu.be/dJ2276R8-Ic and something funny https://youtu.be/D8f_I0H6eRw
